Third Person POV

Bas and Joss were peacefully enjoying their lunch at the main shelter when they felt the tremors and heard the loud rumble.

They felt themselves being swept away by a gigantic wave that came upon the island.

"Bas! Take my hand!"

Bas turned in the direction of the voice. It was his P'Godt! He was clinging to a branch with one hand and holding out his other hand to Bas.

At almost the exact same time, Bas heard "Take my hand, Bas!" and when Bas turned in the direction of the voice, it was Joss, holding out his hand to Bas while clinging to the branch of an adjacent tree!

Bas had to think quickly.

He and Joss had grown quite close during the last few days that Bas could not find his P'Godt. Joss had taken good care of Bas, attending to his every need. Should he take Joss' hand?

"Bas! Quick before it's too late!" P'Godt screamed at Bas.

Bas did not need a second bidding. He quickly took P'Godt's hand and P'Godt pulled him towards the branch where they clung together until the waters subsided.

In the meantime, Perth got separated from Saint once more as he frantically tried to grab any branch of a tree that he passed by as he was being swept here and there by the giant wave that had come upon the island right after the earthquake.

Unknown to him, Saint had been grabbed to safety by P'San who happened to see him floating by as San was clinging to a branch.

"Hold on tight to me," San whispered to Saint. Saint could only nod helplessly, his face tightly pressed against San's broad chest. Saint wondered desperately if he would ever see Perth again.

Captain looked around him as he clung to the branch of another tree. Where did White get carried away, he wondered with a sinking heart. He hoped against hope that he would be able to see White again, that White did not get seriously injured or worse during this upheaval.

Suddenly he saw White being swept in his direction.

"White! Take my hand!" he yelled to White, hoping that White heard him because White was facing the opposite direction.

White did hear him and quickly grabbed Captain's hand, and together they clung to the tree.

When the tidal wave subsided and the waters receded back to the ocean, everybody just lay motionless to wherever they had been swept away.

Everyone survived miraculously but for a long while nobody moved. Everyone was either too exhausted or still unable to believe that they had gone through another disaster one more time.

Finally after what seemed like an eternity, Max turned to Tul who was still holding on tightly to Max's arm.

"Tul, are you alright?"

Tul nodded wordlessly, his eyes remaining close, a few tears trickling down the side of his cheeks.

Max quickly rolled over and placed himself on top of Tul. He rested his cheek against Tul and whispered, "We made it a second time. The deities are watching over us and keeping us together."

Tul could only nod wordlessly. In the next instant Max was kissing him like there was no tomorrow.

During the tidal wave that washed over the island, Chimon had clung helplessly to a branch, holding his breath as the saltwater covered his whole body. He waited for the wave to subside and took in big gulps of air after holding his breath for so long.

He looked around him unable to hold back his sobs. Where was everyone else? Was he the only one who survived the tidal wave?

"Chimon! You're alive!"

Chimon looked around to see who it was. It was his P'Kim! P'Kim had made it through the life threatening tsunami!

A/N: The image above does not belong to me. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.

"Where are everyone else?" Chimon asked as P'Kim slowly and exhaustedly made his way to Chimon.

"I don't know, Chimon, I don't know, I don't know what to think anymore." Suddenly Kimmon was sobbing into Chimon's shoulders as they held each other tight.

The ship's captain had miraculously survived the disaster one more time and he had been washed away not too far from the makeshift shelter that had been constructed but was now in shambles.

Also, miraculously, the waterproof containers that he and his staff had brought to the island had not been washed away too far from the shelter.

He went about gathering them and bringing them back to the area where the makeshift shelter had been constructed.

As he was doing so, not too far away, he noticed Tee, the nurse, and another guy picking up the other containers and bringing them over to him.

The ship's captain hugged Tee tightly when Tee reached him. Then he thanked Tee's companion who had also carried another container and had set it down beside the rest of the containers.

"His name is Tae," Tee offered the information to the ship's captain.

"Pleased to meet you, Tae," the captain said, holding out his hand to Tae who took it and shook hands with him.

"Let's sit down for a while and rest," the captain suggested, "let's give everyone a chance to rest and recover before we try to reconstruct the makeshift shelter."

Newwie and Ben had been chatting just outside their makeshift shelter when the tsunami had come upon them.

Ben had tried to grab Newwie's hand but the giant wave washed Newwie away and Ben had to cling to a branch as he felt himself being washed away as well.

"Ben! Help me!... glob... glob...glob..." Newwie was swallowing sea water helplessly when he felt his neck being grabbed by someone.

When the giant wave subsided, Newwie looked to see who had saved his life.

A/N: The image above does not belong to me. It belongs to the person who uploaded it on the internet.

He cried and sobbed loudly into Tay's chest.

As Tay held Newwie close, Tay realized that no matter what Newwie did to hurt him, he knew he would forgive him over and over because he knew that the thought of losing Newwie was something he could not handle.

"Newwie?"

Both Newwie and Tay looked up at the person who called Newwie's name.

Tay threw Newwie aside and stood up to confront the person.

"Your time with him is over," Tay said, making a threatening step forward, "my boyfriend and I are back together. Go find someone else to spend your time with."

The other guy tilted his head to one side to look at Newwie.

"Newwie???" he addressed Newwie once more.

Newwie covered his face and shook his head. That was enough answer for Ben. Ben walked away, shaking his head as well.

It seemed that the earthquake and tsunami had depleted everyone's energy. Everyone just lay motionless where they were, not bothering to eat or drink or anything else. They slept through the night in utter exhaustion.

When morning came, everyone was awakened by the loud blast of an incoming ship's horn and two helicopters hovering overhead.
