Midnight

Karan and Tara were sleeping in Preeran's room, Karan was holding her hand,

Suddenly, Tara started murmuring in sleep,sweat buds started forming on her forehead,

Karan stirred in sleep and woke up,he looked at Tara and saw her panicking in sleep,

Karan(worried) - Tara...Tara kya hua?(sat on bed) princess utho...batao papa ko...kya hua?

Tara(murmuring in sleep) - mumma....papa...mumma....

Karan - princess utho...dekho papa yahi hai!utho...Tara!

Tara woke up with a jerk and sat on bed murmuring "mumma...papa"

Karan - baby kya hua?

Tara looked at him and hugged him tightly and started sobbing,

Karan(caressing her hairs) - shh..shh...kuch nahi hua...aapne bas koi bad dream dekha hoga...shaant!

Tara - Tara ne bad dream dekha...scary wala!Tara ko bahot dar lag raha hai!

Karan - kyu dar laga raha hai Tara ko? papa haina yahi...aur waise bhi meri princess to strong haina mumma ki tarah...to kyu dar rahi hai?

Tara - Tara strong hai..par mujhe ghost se dar lagta hai!

Karan - wo to kuch hota hi nahi hai!chalo ab aap so jaao!

Tara - papa ko huggie krke!

Karan smiled and laid on bed,Tara hugged him,

Tara - papa...kal mumma aa jaayegi na?

Karan - ha princess!aa jaayegi!so jaao aap!

Tara rubbed her eyes and slept after sometime,

Karan(mind) - mera dil kehta hai babydoll ki Tara ne jo naam diya hai wo tum hi ho!mera dil kehta hai ki ab tum mere pass wapas aajaaogi! Waapas aajao babydoll ab..mere liye..hamari princess ke liye!I miss you!

He looked at Tara and soon drifted into sleep.

Next Morning

Everyone was around the dining table except Karan,

Avni noticed Tara smiling widely playing with food,

Avni - kya baat hai Taru?aap khaana nahi khaa rahi...aur itni badi smile...kya hogya?

Tara - ha aaj Tara bahot bahot bahot khushhhh hai!

Rakhi - aisa kya hogya jo aaj Tara bahotttt khush hai?

Tara - aaj mumma wapas aa rahi hai!

All looked at her and then at each other,

Rohit - girlfriend ye aap kya keh rahe ho?

Tara - ha aaj mumma wapas aane waali hai!papa jaayenge mumma ko lene!

Shristi - Di ko lene...ye kaise....

Tara - chaasi aapko pata hai...jab mumma aayegi na...mai mumma ke saath bahot saari baate karungi...bahot saare games play karungi...aur aap sab ko mumma se mil waaungi...meri mumma bahot achi hai!

All looked at her smiling tearfully at her innocence,

Rohit - ha girlfriend...aap hum sabko bhi aapki mumma se milwaana...wo pkka aapke jaise hi hogi!

Tara - offo boyfriend...mumma meri jaisi nahi mai mumma jaisi hu!

All chuckle tearfully,

Karan who was descending stairs stopped listening Tara,he was in tears thinking of Tara's condition if he couldn't bring Preeta back today,

Tara saw Karan and ran towards him,he sat down,

Tara - papa aap jldi se jaao aur mumma ko lekar aao!

Karan - ha princess...abhi jaaunga...par aap school ke liye ready kyu nahi hue?

Tara - aaj Tara school nahi jaayegi!mumma ka wait karegi yahi par!

Karan - par....

Tara - no par!aap jldi se mumma ko lekar aao...fir Tara mumma ko khin nahi jaane degi!hmesha apne pass huggie krke rkhegi!

Not able to control Karan hugged her tightly,

Tara - ale bajarbattu...aap jealous mat hona..Tara apko bhi huggie karegi!lekin mumma ko jyada!

Karan - par bajarbattu to jealous ho jaayega na!

Tara - to aap bhi mumma ko bahot saara huggie kar lena!

Karan kissed her head and broke the hug,Tara wiped his tears,

Tara - jldi jaao..mumma ko lekar aao bajarbattu!

Karan(kissed her forehead) - okay!jldi lekar aata hu!hmm!

Tara nodded smiling widely,she ran towards Shristi and Avni,

Tara - chaasi chachi chalo...humlog mumma ki saari favorite dishes banate hai...Tara aapko batayegi ki mumma ko kya kya pasand hai!chalo jldi!

Avni and Shristi looked at Karan,he blinked his eyes,both nodded and left to Kitchen with Tara,

Rohit - Karan ye sab?Preeta ko kaha se?

Karan - umeed mili hai Rohit!ussi umeed ki taraf jaa raha hu!bas ab yahi hai ki ye umeed jhuthi na ho!mujhe meri babydoll wapas mil jaaye!meri princess ko uski mumma wapas mil jaaye!agar aaj Preeta nahi mili to...mai khud ko to shayad smbhaal bhi lu...lekin...Tara...(looked at him with tears) meri princess tut jaayegi Rohit...meri bachi tut jaayegi...dekha na tune wo kis tarah Preeta se milne ke liye excited hai...usne to jaise maan liya hai aaj Preeta wapas aajaayegi..lekin agar nahi aayi to..mai...mai Tara ko kaise smbhaalunga?

Rohit - umeed hai na?(he nods) to bas uss umeed par bharosha rakh!aur ja!

Karan nodded and left,

Rohit - I hope aaj Preeta schme iss ghar me wapas aajaaye!

In car,

Karan(on call) - yes coach...okay...ya thank you so much!ya okay!(cuts the call)

Karan(sighs) - city hospital!yahi umeed hai babydoll!bas...bas tum waha ho!

He opens his fist and looks at her jhumkas,

Milne hai mujhse aayi

His eyes were filled with tears,he remembered when they united again,the day they got to know the biggest Happiness of their life,

Karan - aise mur ke kyu smile kar rahi ho...mujhe dekh kar karo...mujhe bhi sukoon milega!

Phir jaane kyun tanhaai

The moments they spent together,their nok-jhoks,

Preeta - huh...bajarbattu!

He remembered them when they were doing shopping for the baby,

The happiness on her face,her smile,her excitement,

The day they got blessed with their little princess,

The best moment of their life,

Karan - so princess and princess ki mumma...yaani ki meri queen ka officially ghar me swagat hai!

And then the worst day, the news of her being dead,which killed him too,

Inspector - we are sorry to inform you Mr Luthra...hume aapki wife ki dead body mili hai!

He remembered the excitement and happiness on Tara's face,who was waiting for her mother at home,

Tara - no par!aap jldi se mumma ko lekar aao...fir Tara mumma ko khin nahi jaane degi!hmesha apne pass huggie krke rkhegi!

He bursted into tears,

Karan - please babydoll...please...ab mujhse nahi hota...mai ye hope nahi khona chahta...mai hamari bachi to firse uski mumma ka intezaar karte hue nahi dekh skta!iss baar mai tumhare bina nahi lautna chahta babydoll!please...mar jaaunga mai...tumhare bina kuch acha nahi lgta...kuch bhi nahi! Please...pleasee....

He reached the city hospital and rushed inside,

Karan(to receptionist) - amm..actually mai yaha ek doctor se milne aaya hu!

Rec - kisse?

Karan - doctor Pre..Isha..Isha Khurrana!

Rec - yes sir...she is the new physiotherapist here!

Karan - to mai unse mil skta hu?

Rec - sorry sir..but doctor Isha ka aaj off hai!

Karan(sighs sadly) - okay..amm..please aap mujhe unka address de skti hai?

Rec - sorry sir..we can't share any doctor's personal details!

Karan - dekhiye please...bahot important hai mera unse milna!please mujhe unka address de dijiye!

Rec - but sir....

Karan - please....pleasee..

Receptionist nods and gave him the address,he smiles and left saying thank you,

He sat in car and drove fastly,

Aashiqui baazi hai taash ki

His mind was running through thousands of thoughts,

Some negative and some positive,but he was not able to think anything further than meeting his babydoll,

Tootte-bante vishwaas ki

He reached the Tulips apartment and got down from car looking at it with hopes,

O, Milne hai mujhse aayi

He ran upstairs to the second floor and looked for the house number,

He went towards the flat and saw the name plate,

Isha Khurrana

Phir jaane kyun tanhaai

Karan - iss dil me jaisi bechaani ho rahi hai...wo saaf kehti hai ki ye tum hi ho babydoll...mera dil itna tez sirf tumhare pass hone se hi dhadakta hai!ye tum hi ho!I know!

He sighed deeply and rang the doorbell,

Kis mod pe hai laayi aashiqui

The door opened,a maid was standing there,

Maid - ji?

Karan - Pre...Isha Khurrana?

Maid - Isha mem andar hai!aaiye!

Karan nodded and went inside,

Maid - mai unko bulaati hu!are nahi...sahab aap unse andar jaa kar mil lijiye...maine cooker chadhaya hai!

Karan nodded and moved towards the room,

He entered and saw a lady standing in front of cupboard,her back was shown to him,

"Kon hai taai?"

He now knew she was his babydoll,how can he not recognize her voice,

Karan - Preeta!

She froze at her place, clothes fell from her hand,she turned towards him,

Karan smiled tearfully seeing her,she was his babydoll,his world,

Karan(whispers) - Preeta!

Preeta looked at him in shock,tears started flowing from her eyes,she stumbled a bit,

Karan - babydoll...tum...mai jaanta tha ye tum hi ho...jaanta tha tumhe kuch nahi hua!kuch nahi...(fell on his knees crying)

Preeta - Karan tum...yaha....

She went towards him and sat down,he looked at her and hugged him tightly,she hugged him back,both were sobbing in each others embrace.
