ShivIka OS : The Unforgettable Moment

Annika wakes up from her deep sleep feeling something. She looks at the time which is striking at 2.30 a.m and sighs. She turns and sees her "Billu" who is none other than the great Shivaay Singh Oberoi who is sleeping peacefully beside her. She smiles looking at him and kisses his cheek. "Love you, Annika." Shivaay mumbles in his sleep making her to chuckle. "He can feel me even in his sleep. So cute. My handsome kanji aankhon waala tadibaaz bhagad billa." She laughs after finished saying these. Suddenly, she holds her stomach in jerk. "Arrey!! This baby doesn't like me calling his/her papa like this." She slaps her tummy gently, "Haww!! You haven't come to this world yet but started to support your bhagad billa papa??" The baby kicks again and this time Annika screams a little. Shivaay wakes up hearing her voice. "What happened, Annika??" He asked feeling concerned for her. "Your son kicked me!!" Annika says pointing towards her tummy. She again complaints to him."He is just like you. Troubling me a lot." Shivaay looks at her raising his eyebrows. "What?? It's normal for baby to kick when you are pregnant." Shivaay tells her caressing her tummy. He remembers something. "One minute, what did you say?? I troubled you?? And what was another one?? My son is kicking you?? How do you know it's a boy?? How if it's a girl??" He asked her crossing his arm below his chest. "No. This must be boy. Girl won't kick like this." She too answers him crossing her arms like Shivaay. Shivaay looks at her in disbelief. "What logic is this, Annika??" He asked her amused with her answer. "This is khidkithodh Annika's logic." Annika answers proudly at him." Shivaay couldn't stop from smiling looking at her cuteness. He hugs her and kisses her forehead. "Why are you awake now?? You supposed to have a proper sleep during this time." Shivaay says while hugging her. "I know, Shivaay but suddenly I felt to have your Saira Bano and white sauce spaghetti." Annika says while snuggling more closer to him. "At this time??" He asks looking at the time while Annika just nods her head like a kid. "Ok but you can't drink Saira Bano, I mean Americano. You should not take caffeine during pregnancy. So, I will only make spaghetti for you." Annika agrees with him.

Shivaay makes Annika to sit on the counter at the kitchen and he started to make spaghetti which his khidkithodh wife hates and now craves to have it. Annika just looks at him admiringly recalling how he took care of her since she got pregnant and how he handled her mood swings patiently. He understands her well and knows how her mood will be during this pregnancy. During her first trimester, she always vomiting most of the time. Once, she couldn't control herself and vomited on their bed at night. Shivaay was the one cleaned the stain and changed the bedsheet without making faces. Annika feels bad for troubling him and started to cry. But, he consoles her saying it's his duty as her husband. Annika cries and ended up vomiting on him. He just laughs during that time. Annika just smiles recalling all those moments.

Shivaay finished making spaghetti for Annika and sees her lost in her thought. "What are you thinking??" He asks her. Annika looks at him and says, "I was thinking how lucky I am to get you as my husband." She hugs his neck and kisses his cheek. Shivaay smiles and feeds her the spaghetti. Annika enjoys having the spaghetti from her husband's hand. "Hmmmmm. It's delicious. You know, Shivaay? No one can make delicious food like you. You are really a good

cooker." Annika says proudly. Shivaay chuckles listening to her. "Annika, it's not cooker. Cook is the correct one. But you can say as chef too." He corrects her while wiping her mouth with a cloth. "Haan... Haan... That is what I'm saying, Chef Shivaay Singh Oberoi," she said hugging his neck. Shivaay smiles at her. "So what else do you want, Mrs Shivaay Singh Oberoi??" He asks her bending himself a bit. "Woh... I want to go for a long drive tomorrow. Will you take me??" Annika asked him. "Long drive?? But you are in your 7th months now. You have to be careful this time." He said stroking her cheek gently. "Don't worry, Shivaay. I already asked our family doctor. She said there won't be any problem. Besides, I want to spend some time with you. Please don't refuse me." She pleads hugging his arm which melts Shivaay's heart. "Ok ok. I will take you," he tells her. Annika grins happily, "Really?? Love you, Shivaay!!" She hugs him in excitement but her baby bump blocks her from hugging him. She looks at her bump and him making a puppy face. Shivaay chuckles at her antic and hugs her gently.

The next day, ShivIka get ready for their long drive. Their family asked them to be careful. "Shivaay, make sure Annika to have her food and medicines properly." Pinky told Shivaay. "Not only Annika, you too must have your food and medicines correctly," says Tej. "Here are some fruits and snacks for you both to eat during your journey." Jhanvi comes bringing some parcels. "I know you both want to go for long drive. But please come back before night." Shakti says while walking towards them. "Ok, mom, papa, bade papa and bade mom." Shivaay replies towards them and turns towards his sisters in law who are smiling at him. "You guys want to say something??" He asked them. They just smile and answer, "You both just take care of yourselves." ShivIka hug both of them and leave for their long drive.

ShivIka are having fun with their long drive. Shivaay continuously asking Annika either she is fine or not. "Shivaay, I'm good only. You just focus on your driving." Annika replies him while lying on his arm. Shivaay feels thankful that the car is automatic one where he doesn't have to change the gear plenty times. He knows Annika loves to lie on his arm whenever they drive to somewhere. That is the reason he bought this type of car. "Annika, if you feel hungry or anything, just tell me. I will stop the car." He said kissing her head without losing his concentration on his driving. Annika just nods her head.

"Shivaay!! Stop the car!!" Annika screams making Shivaay startles. He stops the car at the road side. "What happened, Annika?? Why did you scream?? Are you feeling any pain??" Shivaay asked feeling worried about her. Annika shakes her head as no and points towards somewhere. Shivaay turns towards the direction she is pointing. "Golgappe!! I want to eat golgappe. Please buy for me." Annika says looking at the golgappe stall. "No way, Annika. You are not going to have any road side food." Shivaay refuses her. "Please, Shivaay. I feel to have it." Annika pleads to him. "Annika, the food must be unhygienic. You should not eat road side food in this condition. I can't take the risk." Shivaay strictly said to her. Annika turns her face away sulking with him. Shivaay holds her face and turns towards him. "I said that you can't have road side food. I never said that you can't have golgappe. I will buy from a different shop which is hygienic." Shivaay says in a gentle tone. Annika grins happily, " Really??" Shivaay smiles and nods his head. Annika hugs him in excitement. Shivaay continues his driving.

Shivaay stops the car at a restaurant. He gets down from the car with Annika. "Do you want to have it here??" He asks Annika. "No. I will have them in our car." Annika replies him. Shivaay orders the golgappe and waits at outside the shop. Suddenly, they see some people running towards their direction. Annika hugs his arm feeling scared while Shivaay pats her hand assuring her that he is with her. The shop owner rush out from inside and shuts the door locking it. ShivIka go towards him. "Why are you closing your shop??" Shivaay asked him. "My wife called and said that some riot is happening. You both too faster leave from here." He says and leaves from there hurrily. ShivIka turn and see few man are running bringing rods and sticks. Annika hugs Shivaay in scared. "Let's leave, Annika." Shivaay said and takes her to the car. He opens the car door and about to make Annika sit inside. Suddenly, a man throws a rod towards them and it hits Annika's stomach. Annika screams in pain holding her stomach. "Annika!!" Shivaay too screams seeing her suffering in pain and holds her before she falls down. He wants to go and hit the man but stops himself thinking about Annika. "Shivaay, it's very paining. I can't bear it." Annika cries holding her stomach. Shivaay sees those people are nearing them. He makes Annika to sit and close the door. He quickly runs to the driver sit and speed off the car from there.

Shivaay continues driving the car as fast as he can leaving from the place. He sees Annika beside him who is still struggling with the pain. "Annika, please wait for some time. We will reach hospital in a while." Shivaay says with a trembling voice. They already left the place but Shivaay couldn't find any hospital. Then, he realised that they are away from the city. He punches the steering in anger. "Where I have reached?? What place is this??" Shivaay cries looking at the place. Annika holds Shivaay's hand and says, "Shivaay, my water bag is broke." Shivaay looks at her shockingly, "What??" Annika nods her head weakly controlling her pain. "Shivaay!!! Please do something!!" She cries begging him. Shivaay takes his mobile and dials a number. "Hello!! Annika is having labor pain. I don't know what to do. We are at isolated place and no one is here. I only can see lake beside us here." He cries while speaking. The person on call said something to him which shocks him. "What?? Me?? No, I can't!! How I will....??" Shivaay said in trembling voice. "Shivaay!!!" Annika screams calling him. Shivaay turns towards Annika. "I can't bear anymore. I feel like I am losing my life," Annika says clutching his shirt tightly struggling with her pain. Shivaay can't see her suffering like this. "No!! As long as Shivaay Singh Oberoi is here, nothing will happen to you!! Do you trust me, Annika??" Shivaay asked her. "I trust you more than myself." Annika says weakly looking at his eyes which are worrying for her. Shivaay nods and kisses her forehead. He thinks something and nods towards himself.

Shivaay lifts Annika who is still struggling with her pain and walk towards the lake. He places her inside the water and makes her back leans against the cliff. He runs back to his car and brings some stuffs with him. He keeps them on a rock there and gets into the water. He takes his handkerchief and wipes his hands. He kneels inside the water in front of Annika. He holds Annika's face who is still crying in pain. "Annika, be strong!! I know you are my khidkithodh Annika who will never give up easily. I'm with you, Annika and we will together welcome our baby to this world. Just control this pain for some time." Shivaay says to her and kisses her forehead while Annika just nods weakly controlling her pain. Shivaay lifts her maternity gown towards her knees and spreads her legs. "Relax first, Annika. Don't be tensed, ok?? Calm down

yourself. Take a deep breath and gather all your strength." Shivaay says while rubbing her belly from upwards. He continues his act for some time. "Annika, be ready. When I ask you to push, use your full energy and push. Ok??" Shivaay tells to Annika which she nods weakly. "Push, Annika!!" Shivaay says after a while in a louder voice. Annika gathers her strength and push. However, the baby doesn't come. Shivaay asks her to repeat again. She takes a deep breath and again pushed using her full force while screaming. She falls behind feeling exhausted. She hears baby's crying sound and sees Shivaay holding their baby proudly in his hands showing towards Annika. She smiles in relief seeing their bundle of joy in her husband's hands. He takes a scissors and cuts the umbilical cord. Annika extends her hand to touch the baby. Shivaay lifts her slightly and gives the baby to her. Annika hugs the baby close to her chest. "We got an angel like you. It's baby girl." Shivaay says proudly. Annika nods and kisses his cheek. "I love you, Shivaay!!" Annika confessed to him. "I love you too, Annika!!" Shivaay too confessed.

The Oberois reached hospital after receiving Shivaay's call. They enter a ward where Annika is admitted. Pinky goes and hugs Shivaay. "Oh my maata!! Luckily, you boths are safe." Pinky says hugging Shivaay. "I'm sorry, mom." Shivaay cries while hugging Pinky. All are confused with him. "Why are you saying sorry??" Pinky asked him while caressing his back. "You too must have struggled a lot while giving birth to me. How much pain you must have faced that time. I'm sorry, mom." Shivaay continues and cries badly. "Arrey!! You are crying for this?? This pain is nothing for a mother. All the pains will be vanished after seeing her baby." Pinky said wiping his tears and kisses his forehead. Others just smile seeing them. "Annika putthar, you are fine right??" Daadi asked Annika. "I'm fine, daadi and happy too. I got an angel. And the most happiest moment was my husband has delivered the baby for me." Annika says proudly looking at Shivaay and caresses her flat tummy. Shivaay goes towards her and holds her hands. "What else a wife needs than this?? Not everyone will get this chance. I'm very lucky enough that my husband has delivered our baby." She continues saying looking at Shivaay. Her happiness has no boundaries now recalling the moment. Shivaay hugs her gently and says, "I felt bad that you delivered the baby inside the lake but you are saying like this." Annika wipes his tears which are making their way out from his eyes. "I don't care where our baby has born. You were with me that time. That is more important and precious for me." Annika says cupping his face. Shivaay hugs her. "Where is our granddaughter?? We want to see her." Shakti asked Shivaay. "She is a premature baby. So, she has been placed in incubator for observation. But, the nurse will bring the baby for Annika to feed her." Shivaay explains to them. Shivaay goes to his brothers and sisters in law. "Thank you very much, guys. You all have helped very much. I was totally blank that time. But, you all gave me the strength to do the delivery." They smile and hug him. "And Rudra, luckily you told me about the nearest hospital after tracking my location. That's why I manage to brought Annika to this hospital quickly." Shivaay continues and pats Rudra's cheek. "Bhaiya, we did what we can do for our bhaiya and bhabhi. Don't make us away by thanking us." Rudra said hugging Shivaay.

The nurse enters the ward with the baby. All go to the nurse except Shivaay who is sitting beside Annika holding her hand. "She is too cute. Bhaiya, she is having kanji eyes like you." One of his sister in law said which make him to blush slightly. "So there will be two kanji eyes." Omkara said and all laugh hearing him. "Excuse me. The baby need to be feed by her mother."

The nurse said to them. Everyone agree and the nurse hand over the baby to Annika. Annika hugs the baby close to her chest. "Bhaiya, you too hug them. I want to snap the picture of you three." Rudra said. Shivaay nods and hugs them. Rudra snaps the picture. All leave from the room leaving three of them. "I will wait outside," Shivaay said and about to get up but Annika stops him. "I want you to be beside me when I feed our baby. I want to be in your embrace while feeding her." Annika says with love filled eyes. Shivaay smiles and embraces her while she started feeding their baby.

Few months later...

"This is how you had born in this world." Annika closes her diary and looks at her daughter. "Is this what a mother will tell to her baby as a bed time story??" Asked Shivaay who was standing at the door listening to Annika. Annika looks at him. "Yes. She too must know right, how her papa welcomed her to this world?? That's why I have started telling her now. Shivaay sighs shaking his head in disbelief. "Annika, she won't understand this now. She is just 6 months old." Shivaay tells Annika and signs her to look at their daughter who is looking at them blankly. "I know but I don't find any other stories than this. Besides that, I'm not only saying it to her but for me too. That was the most unforgettable moment in my life." Annika tells him. Shivaay just smiles and hugs her. Shivaay lifts their daughter and kisses her forehead. She started to cry feeling sleepy. "Aww!! My baby is feeling sleepy!! Come, today papa will make you to sleep." He places her on his shoulder and pats her making her to sleep. Annika just smiles admiringly seeing them. "Thank you, God for giving me this wonderful man as my husband who is willing to do anything for me and his family. I got everyone through him only. Starting from daadi till my daughter. I wish this happiness will remain forever with us." She prays closing her eyes. She opens her eyes and sees both of them already slept. She smiles and covers them with the duvet. She switches off the lights and lies beside her daughter who is sleeping beside Shivaay.
