Arbir were sitting on a table in Cafe Valentines. Ranbir had already imagined even the waitress as Prachi and so Aryan had also played his 'Prem pujari' role very well.

Aryan drank 3 glasses full of beer and looked up to find Ranbir staring longingly at the beer bottle.

"Oiii! Kya hua?", Aryan asked Ranbir.

"Kuch nahi yaar! Beer ki bohot yaad aa rahi hain!", Ranbir answered.

"Abe to saamne hi hain na pi le!!!", Aryan exclaimed.

"Nahi yaar main nahi pi sakta.", Ranbir answered.

"Kyun?", Aryan asked him filling another glass with the liquid.

"Kyunki Prachi ko pasand nahi hain aise ladke jo piye.", Ranbir told him.

"Oho!!!!!", Aryan smirked.

"Vaise ab main Prachi ke ghar jaaunga yaar!", Ranbir said.

Aryan, who was busy drinking, suddenly spat his drink out. "Abe pagal hain kya?! Tu abhi jaayega uske ghar?"

"Haan kyun?", Ranbir asked.

"Abe yaar vo to abhi soo rahi hogi.", Aryan told him.

"Nahi yaar. Meko pata hain vo nahi soyegi. Vo aaj actually usko ek bohot important kaam karna hain.", Ranbir said.

"Ohhh! Phir to koi problem hi nahi hain.", Aryan yelled excitedly.

"Yo bro!!!", Ranbir also exclaimed.

He suddenly became tensed, "Par..."

"Kya hua?", Aryan asked him.

"Aise khali haath thodi na jaaunga main. Kuch saath mein leke bhi jaaunga na!", he said.

"Jaise ... ?", Aryan asked.

"Dekh tujhe to pata hi hain ki tera bhai kitna accha singer hain? Hain na?", he asked.

"Haan pata hain. To?", Aryan asked him, confused.

"To main Prachi ko ek restaurant mein leke jaaunga aur uske liye ek accha sa gaana gaaunga.", Ranbir told him dreamily.

"Ohohoho! Tujhe bhi bade acche ideas aa rahe hain?!", Aryan exclaimed.

"Pyaar mein hain na tera bhai!", Ranbir said casually.

They laughed and making a promise to each other that Ranbir would tell everything to Aryan, they left for their respective destinations, Aryan to his house and Ranbir to Prachi's.

Prachi was sitting on her bed, completing some office stuff.

Ranbir reached her house. He parked his car a bit away from her house so that people around them wouldn't get suspicious about him.

He got out of his car and straightened his hair properly. Excited, he almost ran towards her house. He suddenly stopped near the staircases and remembered an incident.

Flashback

"Abe yaar! Iss ladki se ek file sambhali nahi jaati aur sab kehte hain ki ye sabse best employee hain!", Ranbir ranted as his eyes laid on the file which Prachi had forgotten in his car.

He looked up and saw that she was about to enter her house.

"Prachi!", he called out to her.

Startled, she whirled around and saw him getting out of his car and went towards him curiously.

She suddenly lost her balance and was about to fall from the staircases when she felt two strong arms holding her tightly around her waist. She opened her eyes softly when she felt no harsh ground. He stared at her as she landed in his arms.

BGM Ishq sufiyaana

She was the first one to come out of the trance. She immediately straightened herself and murmured a 'sorry'.

Still not completely in his senses, he asked her, "Er ... tumhe kuch feel hua kya?"

"Huh?", she asked him, bewildered. "Oh n-nahi! Main thik hoon mujhe chot nahi lagi.", she answered immediately.

Her answer brought him back to his senses and he murmured, "Oh ok ok."

"Ye tumhari file reh gayi thi.", he said handing over the file to her.

"Oh Thank you.", she thanked him and the both turned to go. He sat down in his car and turned to look at her who was also looking at him.

"Bye", she said.

"Bye.", he said in return, passing a small smile to her.

Flashback ends

Ranbir smiled at the memory softly.

"Mmm ... kitna jhalla tha na main uss time pe? Tabhi samajh jaana chahiye tha meko ki I love Prachi!", he whispered silently.

"Lekin ab to realise ho gaya hain na? Ab to main Prachi ko propose karke rahunga.", he smiled again.

Climbing the stairs, he reached her doorstep and was about to knock when he suddenly stopped.

"Nahi khat khatana kyun hain? Itti acchi bell to hain free ki!", he laughed.

He was about to ring the bell but stopped suddenly, "Bell bhi nahi baja sakta. Bell bajaya to sab jaag jaayenge Prachi ko chodke. Par, Prachi ko uthana bhi to hain. Kaise uthau Prachi ko?"

He turned his back towards the door and mumbled, "Aur ... agar bahar Prachi aa bhi jaaye, to main bolunga kya usko? Huh? I love u? Nah! Aryan ke saamne to bohot badi badi baatein kar raha tha ki ye karunga, vo karunga, ye karunga! Aur yahan?!"

He then became serious and said, "Accha ek baari ko maante hain ki Prachi bahar aa gayi. Thik hain? Prachi mere saamne khadi hain to main usko kya bolu? Main usko ye bol sakta hoon ki ..."

He moved round and round around himself once and grimaced, "Ek to ... pehli baat ... sabse main problem ye ho gayi hain ... ki ... mujhe tum sabme dikhne lagi ho. Thik hain? Main jahan dekhta hoon, ladka ladki, mujhe tum sabme dikhti ho!"

He clutched her door firmly and leaning on it, he murmured, "Aur dusri problem ye ho gayi hain ki ... maine life mein aisa kabhi feel nahi kiya hain! Kabhi nahi!"

"I'm sure tumhe lagta hoga ki mere iss life mein bohot ladkiyaan rahi hain, I'm sure sabko pata hain..." Then shrugging, he complained, "lekin unn ladkiyon ke saath vo feeling nahi aati hain yaar! Feeling aati hain bhi to chali jaati hain!"

"Lekin lekin lekin ...", he clutched her door again and said dreamily, "... lekin tumhare saath na, vo feeling aati hain mujhe, aur, vo feeling, mere saath, mujhe lagta hain, hamesha rehti hain!"

He reminisced her angelic face again and said, "I swear Prachi, maine aisa kisike saath mehsoos nahi kiya hain!"

He suddenly straightened and continued, "Ab tumhare paas do options hain. Thik hain?"

"First option.", he again clutched her door and said, "Vo ye hain ki ... tum ... mere proposal ko haan bol do ... taaki ... ye ladka bekar na ho jaaye!"

"Aur option two. Option two ye hain ki ...", he closed his eyes and muttered longingly, "Tum ... haan bol do plzz! Kya pata tumhe hi pyaar ho jaaye mujhse?"

He suddenly grimaced and wondered, "Lekin, jaaun kaise, tumhe batau kaise?! Aah tch! Prachi!"

He hung on her door merrily for sometime before noticing something. "Are!!!", he exclaimed, "Prachi ki window!"

He climbed her window silently and peeped inside.

Prachi yawned and mumbled, "Ha! Kaam to ho gaya! Ab vo Ranbir mujhe befaltu daantega nahi!" Ranbir heard this and felt bad for scolding her everytime.

"Ab ye kaam complete ho gaya hain na? Ab jaakar uss Ranbir ke muh par maarungi. Baklu kahin ka!", she said angrily.

Though he felt a bit bad on hearing her words, he suddenly felt very nice when she called him Baklu. 'Vaise to jab tum mujhe Baklu bulati thi, to mujhe bohot gussa aata tha. Lekin aaj bohot accha lag raha hain! Dekha tumhare pyaar ka jaadu?! Bak bak karne vaala ullu! Haha!", he laughed silently as he thought.

"Nahi! Main ye sab uss Ranbir ko kyun doon?!", she suddenly piped up which made him look at her in confusion. "Maine to usse vada kiya hain na? Ki main usse aur spoilt twin se door rahungi? To main door hi rahungi unn dono se. Main Sweety ko bol dungi vo jaakar use dekar aayegi. Vaise bhi mujhe aaj bohot hurt hua jab usne mujhe daanta. Haan akele mein daanta hota to thik hota, jaise hamesha daantta hain. Par, spoilt twin ke saamne?! Mujhe bohot bura laga."

She frowned while her words and her hurt voice pierced his heart and broke it into pieces. He cursed himself for hurting her feelings, as dread, guilt, remorse and regret filled his body, shattering it down into pieces. He closed his eyes tightly as he felt some tears rolling out of them.

"Par jaise Maa ne kaha, vo itna bura bhi nahi hain!", she suddenly said. Ranbir looked up at her, his eyes full of sheer ecstasy. "Chahe kitna bhi bada buddhu kyun na ho vo, lekin dil ka bohot accha hain. Usne uski dosti kitni acche se nibhayi. Hamesha mera saath diya, mujhe bachaya, sirf bachaya hi nahi, apni jaan khatre mein daalkar mujhe bachaya." She smiled softly while he grinned widely.

"Lekin sochne vaali baat hain. Usne mujhe bachaya kyun? Vo to mujhe bilkul pasand nahi karta. Phir kyun?", Ranbir smiled as he remembered that the same question had popped up in his head when he had saved her by risking his own life.

"Humph! Hero banna chahta hoga aur kya?!", she said rolling her eyes, whereas his face fell. "Nahi par ... Maa ne to bilkul sahi kaha. Vo ye sab mere alava kisi aur ke liye nahi karta.", she said thinking a lot as a small ray of hope ignited in his heart that she might realise her feelings for him.

She thought hard as several memories flooded her mind in which he saved her, without caring about his own life, his own reputation. Why would he do this, she wondered. 'Koi aisa to tabhi karta hain jab ...'

"Ittifaq!", she exclaimed. "Ittifaaq, coincidence, ho jaata hain.", she said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Vohi to! Ho jaata hain! Pyaar!", Prachi suddenly heard a voice which startled her completely.

She turned to the source of the voice was shocked to find ...

Kal pata chalega. 😅 Sorry. Par meko ab English ka thoda padhayi karna hain. Maana ki it's my best subject, par iska matlab ye nahi ki kuch bhi study karke na jaao! So 👋🏻. Agla update kal ya phir parso milega. Uske baad seedha exams khatam hone ke baad, matlab 30th March ko. I know ye bohot boring tha. Lekin don't worry exams ke baad acche se changes karke de dungi.
