3rd Person Perspective

2 DAYS LATER:

The elderly couple walked inside their house, while their son dragged their luggage and daughter in law offered them water.

The male sighed, and his wife followed, sighing too. "Papa Ji, Nani ji ki tabiyat thik hai ab?" Surbhi asked, to which Yash nodded in agreement and looked at his father in search of answers. "Beta bas pucho mat. Ab to Aisa lag raha hai jaise maa jaane hi waali ho..." Yash's mother replied making the younger male question "Kya hua hai Nani ko... Abhi to thik thi achanak se kya-"

"Kya hua kya nahi ye nahi maalum. Bechari mein ab chalne ki taakat bhi nahi bachi. Maa ko bolne mein bhi kitni takleef ho Rahi thi. Kuch boli hi nahi, siway Y/n ki shaadi karwane ki baat ke..." The elderly woman sobbed, making her husband sigh.

The young couple went shocked hearing her, "Y/n ki Shaadi, Papa abhi wo choti hai mai pehle hi keh rahe hu Y/n abhi kahi nahi jaayegi" Yash asserted, clear and stern whilst Surbhi nodded worriedly.

"Beta, Tumhari Nani bas ek hi cheez chah Rahi hai." His mother said, "Par Mummy baat ko samjho. Mai bhale hi mazak mein kehta hu Y/n ki shaadi ki baat but it's too early for her to get married!"

"Papa aap shaant kyu ho? Nani nanu ko mana kar diya na aapne?" Yash questioned gaping at his father who was sitting  with an upset face.

"Aakhri samay hai unka.. kaisa mana karta beta. Mere maa baap to kab ke chal base... Ab sirf wo hi bade hai." Yash's father sighed.

"Par Papa-" He cut Yash off, "Bas karo Yash, wo kal hi humare Ghar aa rahe hai. Y/n ki shaadi ke baad hi jaayenge. Kuch karna hai to, ladke dhundne shuru Karo ek bhai ka farz nibhao." Yash's father said, frustrated and walked to his room leaving Yash standing with his head low.

Afterall, hearing about his precious daughter's marriage had taken a toll on him. He was helpless and frustrated, unable to do anything in front of the wish of his elders.

"Yash, itni badi baat nahi hai. Shaadi ek na ek din sabki hoti hai. Ladkiya to waise bhi paraya dha-"

"Badi baat nahi hai, Maa? Seriously? Meri behen ki shaadi ki baat hai. Uski zindagi barbaad nahi hone dunga mai." Yash asserted turning away but a voice rendered him to halt in his steps.

"Bhabhi kya ho raha hai sab log tez tez baat kyu kare rahe ho..." Y/n said, coming out of her room while rubbing her eyes.

"Kuch nahi Y/n... Wo bas Nana Nani Ji aane waale hai... Us baare mein hi baat kar rahe the. Aap sojao," Surbhi said, caressing Y/n's head, "huh? Nani ki tabiyat kaise hi ab? Wo sach mein aarahe hai?" She questioned, her eyes suddenly widened.

Yash sighed looking at his sister.

It is too early.

He thought, "Bhai aap Ghar kab aaye mai aapko dhund Rahi thi..." Y/n mumbled, and then walked towards him embracing him from the side. "Bhaiya, mai kal bahar chali jau ghumne? Office mein Harshit bhai hai na, or Naina... Unhone mujhe invite Kiya hai-"

"Nahi Y/n. Aapko kitni baar kaha hai office mein Jo log hai unse zyada baat mat kiya karo. They all just want to take advantage of you, your riches!" Yash, frustrated with all things, once again accidentally vented his anger on Y/n inducing her to back away from his embrace.

Y/n gulped and nodded, before walking back to her room. Seeing all this, Surbhi sighed, speaking up "Daant diya na fir? Bas ye hi Karo aap. Kabhi to use apni life jeene de-"

"Surbhi, kaunsa tareeka hai ye apne pati se baat karne ka?" Yash's mother asserted, her tone rigid as she glared at the said girl. "Sorry mummy ji..." Surbhi turned her head down.

"Mai thodi der bahar jaa raha hu." Yash informed, "10 bajne wale hai Yash itni raat ko kaha jaa rahe ho-" Surbhi worriedly stated but once again got cut off. "Yash tum mere saath chalo. Tumhare papa or mujhe baat karni hai tumse. Or Bahu tum zara chai bana do, sar dukh Raha hai." The elder woman ordered walking ahead leaving the younger couple behind.

Yash patted Surbhi's back as a gesture of comfort and then followed his mother.

Surbhi walked inside the kitchen, unbeknownst of the person who was following her. Suddenly a tiny voice entered her ear, "Bhabhi..."

Surbhi flinched keeping her palm where her heart resides, "Hey Bhagwan, Meri jaan nikal gayi..."

"Ye bhaiya ki kaunsi behen hi jiski shaadi ho rahi hai...? Jitna ki mujhe yaad hai, humari koi cousin nahi hai." She suspiciously questioned, looking at her sister in law. "Aap. Nahi Y/n Rona nahi- RONA NAHI-" Surbhi asserted and then regretted it immediately as the younger girl sobbed.

"MUMMA"

Meanwhile, Yash was sitting in front of his father. "Dekho, Yash. Mai maanta hu ki tum abhi Y/n ko vida karne ke liye taiyar nahi ho. Par kuch cheeze na chahte hue bhi karni padti hai. Mai tumhari chinta ki wajah samaj sakta hu..."

"Agar aap samajh sakte hai to Maaniye meri baat or ye Y/n ki shaadi ka khayal apne Mann se abhi ke liye nikal dejiye." Yash groaned, grabbing his hair. "Yash kyu zid kar rahe ho. Tumhari Nani apne aakhri waqt mein apni naati ki shaadi hoti dekhna chahti hai usme kya galat hai?" Yash's mother scolded.

"Maa aap to na hi bole. Aapne to humesha Y/n ko ek bojh ki tarah samjha hai. 19 saal ki thi wo jab aapne pehli naar bola tha ki ab shaadi kardo!" Yash frustratedly went on.

"Bakwaas mat karo Yash. Tumhe achi tarah pata hai mujhe Y/n se bohot lagav hai." She glared. "Dekho beta. Agar tumhe Y/n ki itni chinta hai. To tum uske liye koi aisa dhundo jo use humesha khush rahe." His father stated in a soft tone, assuring Yash.

Yash sighed hearing him, the older male himself was saying all this with a heavy heart. "Thik hai papa. But agar Y/n is shaadi ke liye manzoor nahi hogi. Tu uski shaadi nahi hogi." Yash sternly stated, clenching his jaw.

"Mai uske liye best ladka dhundunga. Jo use sach mein khush rakh sakega."

NEXT DAY
YASH'S WORKPLACE

Yash was sitting with his finger resting on his forehead, whilst his entire focus was on the file in the hands — wait wait wait, let's re do that. His entire focus was taken by his thoughts.

Acha ladka

Successful

Jo meri behen ko khush rakhe

Bilkul perfect

Yash sighed. Calling for his assistant, who soon walked in his cabin.

"Shukla Ji, Ye shaadi ke liye ache ladke kaise dhundte hai?" Yash asked with a straight face, "Huh?" The male was embarassed, "ladke kaise dhundte hai?" Yash repeated.

"Matrimonial sites ya fir jaan pehchaan se sir..." He awkwardly replied. "Thanks. You can leave." Yash nodded, turning back to his work.

Acha ladka

Perfect ladka

Y/n ko khush rakhne wala ladka

Yash sighed finally looking at the bio data of his sister that his father had sent him earlier.

His sister was perfect.

In whatever she did, she was flawless.

Well mannered, and respectful.

Though she was little stubborn at times but itna toh chalta hai?

Matrimonial sites pe to mai nahi jaane waala. Saare dhongi hote hai udhar.

Yash thought, determined to look for a guy for his sister under his knowledge.

He sighed again, this time turning his attention back to work. His eyes were now on the file he was reading earlier again.

Tanishq Gupta

The file read, "TANISHQ GUPTA!" Yash yelled, jumping on his chair in excitement.

How could he ignore that guy? He was literally an idol as perfect as he could be. Tanishq Gupta and his family had been ideal to Yash.

And Tanishq Gupta for certain had a way to Yash's heart with his way of working and his persona itself.

He smiled, calling for his assistant again this time excited, "Shukla Ji, Mera Mr Raghav Gupta se contact karwaiye. Rishta bhejna hai."
