Mondo is on the beach taking a walk to calm his nerves, he no longer remembers the reason for his anger, but walking on the beach helps him calm down, and better than walking his dog Akemi a little puppy Shih Tzu, found it abandoned in an alley a few weeks ago, and since no one wanted it, he decided to take it himself.

(For those who don't know "Akemi" in Japanese means cute and/or adorable)

Akemi did nothing but jump around and smell things, and Mondo did nothing but giggle at how cute that puppy was.

Mondo: "You really like walking around, didn't ya?" In response Akemi barks, waving as if it were an affirmative answer "Of course you like it, hahaha" he chuckles

When they near a rock, Mondo hears a strange dragging noise.

Mondo: "What was that?"

He wonders looking around while Akemi sniffs the air curiously, shortly after he lays his gaze on a rock starting to dazzle attracting the boy's attention

Mondo: "Hey, is anyone there?" he asks as he approaches the rock

He does not receive an answer but on the contrary he hear something that hits a can that he sees rolling away from behind the rock, and he realizes that there was something or someone behind there.

Mondo: "Hey? I know there's someone there. Come out!"

He hears a little frightened cry then hears a voice speak

??: "p-please, d-don't come near"

Mondo: "Are you okay? Something wrong?" He asked, strangely worried

The voice behind the rock doesn't answer, he must be scared of what Mondo might do to him, so the boy takes a few steps forward

Mondo: "don't be scared. I have no intention to hurting you"

??: "You can't fool me, I know what you humans do to creatures like me"

Mondo: 'creatures like him?' He thinks perplexed "Creature? What are you talking about?"

Again he gets no response, but he hears the sound of hands hitting something, whoever it is must have put his hands on his mouth, as if he said something he didn't mean

Mondo: "Hey, I won't do anything to you, I promise you" He continues to insist but still receives no response

At that point Mondo decides to see who he was talking to, whoever he was could be in trouble and he coulden't leave him there, when he overcomes the scoot he finds himself in front of a triton trapped in a net with wounds on his arms and tail

Mondo: "Holy shit!" His hands shot up to his mouth "Are you okay?"

The triton in response backs away in fear finding himself with his back attached to the rock

Mondo: "Hey, hey, calm down! I want to help you, okay?"

??: "I-l don't believe you, I know you tell me this just to get close to me and then stab me in the back, you are all like this you humans!"

Mondo: "Look here. You have to calm down. I know a lot of us humans are like that, but we have some decent people among us."

The triton remains silent for a few seconds and then looks away, while Mondo approaches him slowly

Mondo: "It's gonna be alright. Let me help you out of this"

With some hesitation the triton nods slowly

Mondo: "Okay, don't move too much or you could hurt yourself even more" he says helping the triton to get out of the net that with a little effort Mondo manages to free him

Mondo: "There. That's that. Now to help you with your wounds. Hm.. Stay there. Don't let anyone see you. I'm gonna go get something to help"

??: "...o-okay."

Mondo look towards Akemi "you stay here to keep an eye on him, ok?" The puppy barks and taking it with an ok from him Mondo goes away for a while leaving the puppy with the newt who looked at him with a curious face.

Shortly after Mondo comes back with something to help the wounds of the triton who shortly after he finds himself with his arms and tail bandaged

??: "t-thank you...."

Mondo: "yeah, no problem. You should be good to go just move your tail as little as possible"

??: "a-alrith" he looked at him with a slightly perplexed expression

Mondo: "something wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

??: "it just, you didn't freak out we you see me, unlike other humans who saw me"

Mondo: "Why would I freak out? you're pretty much just a human with a fish parts, aren't ya?"

Taka blows through the shell which makes a soft low sound

Mondo: he smiles "ya know, your kind sound pretty cool"

Mondo: "so I blow this when I want to see you?"

Taka: "r-realy? you mean it?"

Mondo: "yeah, of course. why would I lie?"

Taka: "that's great! thank you very much!" he said happy giving the shell to Mondo

Mondo: "no problem, Taka" Mondo smiled, seeing Taka's happy face as he took the shell

Taka: "you know, even though i'm the prince of triton's i don't have many friends, so i'm happy to have a human friend" he smiled

Mondo: "I don't see why you wouldn't have many friends. you're pretty cool, if I do say so myself"

Taka: "you..... realy think I'm cool?" he blush a little

Taka looks at him for a moment and then he laughs too

Mondo: "no problem" he laugh

Mondo: "I'm usually not this nice. Most people would usually calm me rude or too agressive."

Taka: "is that so? strange, you don't seem that kind of person to me"

Mondo: "Well, I kinda just felt bad for you when I first saw you.. You reminded me of my self when I was younger... Hurt and in a bad situation"

Taka: "someon... hurt you?" he ask worried

Mondo: "..." he looked away sadly "I don't like to think about it but if you're interested guess I can tell you"

Taka: "it is not necessary, if you're not comfortable talking about it that's fine, I don't want to oblige you"

Mondo: "it just brings back bad memories.. but I can deal with it this once if you want to hear about it."

Taka: "if you think you can handle it. alright then" he says coming out of the water, sitting next to him on the

Mondo: "Okay.. When I was a kid, I lived with my dad and my brother. My dad was an alcoholic and was very abusive.. Our mom had run awav because she was so scared of him for that reason. So she left us with him... One day, my brother got fed up with it and we ran away..."

Taka: "maybe that's why they call you like that, you behave that way so as not to be hurt again like it's hapened in the past"

Mondo: "... yeah I think you're right"

Taka: "but for me you are a very good person Mondo, you just needs to have the right opportunity to prove it"

Mondo: "thank you, Taka"

Mondo: "well then you should be going. I don't think you want to be seen with a human"

Taka: "yeah, for now it's not a good idea" says he going back into the water "but as I said with that shell you can call me everytime you want"

Mondo: he nods "well I'll see ya next time"

Taka: "sure thing! bye!" he smiled at Mondo before he disappearing under the water

Mondo: "bye!" he smiled as Taka swam off

Mondo stays on the beach for a few minutes thinking about what Taka said

Mondo: "...'for now it's not a good idea'... I wonder what he mean by that..." he asks himself as he looked at the shell he had in his hands.

Then he feels two small paws touching his leg and sees Akemi watching him while he barked

Mondo: "sorry budy, I got lost in my thoughts for a moment" he says while holding the shell in one of his pockets and peting the puppy's head "now we continue our walk, okay?"

Akemi barks wagging his tail, so Mondo takes the puppy's leash back and they continue to take their walk along the beach, and he don't know exlately why but the meeting with that triton put Mondo in a good mood
