I felt like seeing Daniel was a huge surprise but I was yet to be surprised.

Everyone exchanged pleasantries with him, including Josh who acted like Daniel was his best friend. I knew everyone was ready to put the past behind them and I felt like I was the only one holding onto it.

"What do you think Bella?" mom asked drawing me out of my thoughts.

"Pardon?"

"Amanda thinks it's a good idea to get married in Paris but we think it's better to do it here where all her friends and family are," mom further explained and when I didn't roll my eyes, it was the hardest thing I'd done since I returned.

"And so what the hell is my business. If they're going to blab about their honeymoon too I'd prefer they get out" I wanted to say to my mom but I suddenly got an idea.

"Yeah, you know Chase is obsessed with Paris but definitely we're getting married in LA, close to his family and of course paparazzi," I lied. The lie was well garnished that I bet it tasted spicier than the chicken sauce we we're having.

"Speaking of Chase, he didn't come back with you why?" Daniel suddenly asked as though he personally knew my fiancé.

"Well, I came back to Nigeria for business purposes and he's busy too, you know, planning our wedding and all that," another lie.

Josh suddenly began to cough after I'd finished my last statement (lie). He seemed to be choking on something.

I hope it's a huge fish bone in his throat!

Amanda fed him with a glass of water and he calmed down.

"Speaking of weddings, have you fixed a date yet?" Sandra who was seated next to asked.

"Not really. But it's definitely going to be this year," I lied again and Josh resumed his choking. It was like he was the one suffering for my lies.

"Katrina what about your dad?" Tayo finally spoke.

"He not in the country as of now but we're expecting him this month," Trina replied

"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys that Stephanie sends her regards. She had to attend a friends wedding that's why she couldn't make it," Josh spoke for the first time.

"It's been awhile since I spoke to her. How's she doing?" Trina asked Josh. I'd almost forgotten they were once close.

"She's fine. She's just too busy for her own good," said Josh.

"I'll call her later," Trina said.

"So, Bella" Daniel started and I just wished I'd turn invisible, "Are you planning on staying longer? Or are you going back soon?"

"Wow, are you chasing her back to the US?" Sandra asked

"No, I just wanted to know if we'd have time to catch up that's all," Dan replied

"I'm still around but I can't determine the duration of my stay. Something might come up and I'd have to leave sooner than expected" I finally said something that didn't have a lie in it. I could see my mom smile to herself obviously happy I wasn't going anywhere yet.

"So where have you been Dan?" I asked the question no one wanted to ask especially Sandra who was probably angry that she didn't know where the father of her child was.

"Everywhere and nowhere. I've been traveling, trying to clear my head and think about a lot of things and I'm glad I did," Dan smiled genuinely and we continued eating our meal while making small talks.

Joshua's POV
I certainly deserved an Emmy for holding myself this long. I swear I just wanted to blow up when Bella kept mentioning her fiance. It made me feel better and jealous.

I won't deny it anymore, I was jealous and Daniel wasn't helping matters. It felt like all his concentration and attention was on Bella and I couldn't help but notice how he was flirting with her in the presence of his seven year old son.

What a hypocrite!

I undeniably still loved Bella. The only reason why I had her movie cancelled and pretended like I was a movie producer was because I wanted her to come back. I wanted to see her but this time, not on a TV screen.

At the same time, I didn't want to hurt Amanda's feelings since my mom was the one who had forced her on me and since then I'd been deceiving her. But breaking up with Amanda wasn't my main barrier, the main problem was that Bella was already engaged.

I hadn't realized how much I'd been staring at Daniel and Bella, laughing and talking like they'd newly wedded. I was boiling inside and I didn't know how long I'd be able to hold my jealousy.

"Joshua are you okay? You're red" Sandra pointed out making everyone stare at me. My hands were in a tight fist.

"He looks like a tomato," Trump deadpanned making everyone giggle.

"Are you okay?" Amanda asked grabbing my hands.

I pulled away from her grip and stood up, "I need some air," I excused myself and went outside.

Daniel's POV
If I didn't know better, I'd say Josh was still in love with Bella but he had a fiancé. He kept staring at her like he wanted to grab her and run away with her but I wasn't going to let that happen.

I took Trump and placed him on my lap and gave him the last piece of chicken on my plate.

Josh's girlfriend had gone to look for him. She looked like a lost, frustrated puppy.

I adverted my gaze back to the beauty seated right across and I knew she was the one I wanted to spend my life with.

Isabella's POV
To say I was curious to know what was going on with Josh would be an understatement. I wanted to NOT think about him but I was failing at that.

Who are you deceiving? You still have feelings for the guy!

A voice in my head spoke. I tried blocking out the voice and focusing on Daniel who was saying something about his trip. I just kept nodding like a lizard and trying hard not to look out the window to see what's up with Josh.

What is wrong with you? How can you be thinking of another man when you have a fiancé who you haven't called in weeks by the way and if you should be thinking of anyone, it should be Daniel!

Another shrill voice in my head said.

"Can we talk outside, privately?" Dan suddenly asked. I nodded and followed him outside. We stood in the small garden where my mom was deceiving herself that she suddenly found interest in flowers.

"There's something I want to ask you," Dan said before pulling out a small box from his pocket.

Before I could say anything else, he opened it and revealed the diamond encrusted ring in it.

"Bella?" I turned to see Josh staring at us.

I was short of words.

I stood in the middle of Daniel who had an engagement ring in his hands and Joshua who had a confused look on his face.

I promised drama didn't I? This is just the beginning.Well... It's the ending but whatever. BTW I write this story as it comes to me. I didn't plan for this to happen, I just write as the story unfolds in my head.

I just realized that this book has 3k+ reads now and I'm so happy. I had no idea I'd come this far with this story but I'm glad I did!
