"What do you want me to do with a child at my age?" Sandra shouted. We were both in her room and no one was home except the both of us.

"I know it's complicated but... abortion is not the best solution" I tried to convince her but she seemed to have made up her mind already.

"I'm not going to ruin my life because of one mistake"

"you'll be ruining your life when you won't be able to have children in the future" I said

"that won't happen" she sounded convinced

"you should at least tell your parents" I advised her but she didn't seem to be listening.

"I'm not doing that. I'd rather commit suicide!" she exclaimed.
Now she was starting to scare me. Who said anything about suicide...

We were both quiet for awhile. It was an awkward silence.

"so what about you and Josh?, it's been two weeks now" she changed the topic.

"we're doing great, but.... sometimes it feels like I don't really know him. There's something wrong with our relationship"

"have you been to his house?" Sandra asked

"not yet" I replied

"why not?"

"he's been asking me to come for a visit but I don't want to knowing Stephanie will be there"

"since when did you become afraid of Steph?" Sandra let out a small laugh

"that girl is just too shady and you know she doesn't like me. She might poison me or something" I know that can't happen but you can never be sure sha.

"it's funny how you're suddenly afraid of someone you used to beat up" Sandra said before making her way to the big mirror on the wall.

"what do you mean by 'someone I used to beat up' I never knew Steph till I came back. Isn't she and Josh new students?" I was confused as hell 'cause I'm sure I didn't know Steph or Josh from my past.

"Isabella stop playing around, how can you be saying you don't remember Stephanie from when we were in S.S.1" Sandra said while checking out her back side in the mirror.

"I'm serious Sandra, I don't remember her from last year. I first met her at the airport the day I came back to Lagos" I said making myself comfortable in her bed. Sandra turned to me with shock registered on her face.

"you don't remember Stephanie the girl you bullied constantly..." I couldn't remember since I bullied a lot of people "the fat girl that used to wear glasses" Still can't remember "you shoved her head into the toilet and then she fainted"

Now I remember who she was talking about. I remember shoving this girl's head into the toilet and she fainted afterwards. I was suspended for three weeks. I even nearly got expelled.

"are you trying to say that girl was Stephanie?" I asked just to clarify.

"Yes, I thought you knew. After you left she changed completely. She stopped wearing glasses, reduced weight and looked really beautiful then, out of nowhere, Josh showed up, claiming to be her twin brother and that's how they became popular" I didn't realize my mouth had fallen open until Sandra closed them.

"how come I didn't know this? I should have recognized her when I saw her at the airport. No wonder she was saying I didn't remember her the first day I came back to school. No wonder she hates me so much" I said all in one breath

I can't believe this.

"I'm not surprised, you were never good at remembering or recognising people" Sandra said. For some stupid reason, all I could ask myself right now was, who is the father of Sandra's unborn child?

She told me it was simply a one night stand with one guy she met recently and the guy had gone back to Canada where he lived but I'm not that stupid and neither is she. I know Sandra and would never sleep with someone she didn't know very well.

I must find out who is responsible for your pregnancy Sandra.. I MUST

"yes that's true" I said not knowing what Sandra had said. I wasn't listening and I hope she didn't ask me a question.

"I don't think you've been listening to me" she said "I was asking about Katerina and her dad"

"what about them?" I replied with a disgust look on my face.

It has been two weeks since Katerina stared dating Tayo and two weeks since I had found out she is my soon to be step sister and we had barely said two words to each other.

The whole school already talking about it though. They just don't have anything better to do than to talk about what happens in other people's lives. I'm only waiting for the rumours and gossips to die down but I don't see that happening anytime soon with the wedding around the corner.
Even the teachers were talking about it. They made it look like Katerina would die within a day living with me.

I can't imagine living with Katerina. Of all men in the world my mom just had to choose Katerina's father. It's not even that he's handsome sef.

"well, I can't wait for the wedding sha" Sandra said

"for me, I can wait"

"so, when next I come I'll give you note on this topic" our Biology teacher before making his way out of the class with his big belly leading the way..

"I can bet a thousand naira that Mr. Adebayo is on his way to mama Tunde's shop" Hassan said making the whole class erupt in laughter. Mr. Adebayo was our Biology teacher who just left the class and he always visited the beer parlour during break to have a few bottles. Scratch that, a lot of bottles.

He once came into be class, drunk to the extent he asked us to wipe the board when there was nothing written on it.

The laughter soon died down and I couldn't help but notice Katerina and Tayo talking and laughing about something I couldn't hear.

"hey beautiful" Josh said appearing behind me. It was break period so most people were leaving the class. Joshua looked as handsome as always.

"hey " I said dryly with a smile. I stood up and we made our way out of the classroom with his hand around my neck.

"You're coming to my house today right?" he suddenly asked

"em... I don't know... "

Oh God, I better think of a good lie right now!

"why?" he asked

"I'm not feeling well" I said almost immediately

"I'm sure you'll feel better once you come over. It's not fair that I've been to your house several times when you don't even know where I live" Joshua was pleading with the look on his face

"And who says I don't know where you live?"

"Okay, where do I live?" he folded his arms around his chest while facing me

I should have just shut up!

Silence...

"you don't know my house" he finally said before we continued walking.

"okay, I'll come today"

"that's my girl" he smiled sheepishly "I have to go and find my sister first. I'll see you after school?"

"Duhh... Who else is gonna take me to your house?" he kissed my forehead before walking away.

I turned to the principal, Mrs. Sharon standing in front of me.

"Nwankwo!" she called my surname with her clear Yoruba accent "I thought I made myself clear about keeping boyfriends"

What's this woman's problem now?

I'm I the only one that has a boyfriend? She didn't see Katerina and Tayo.

Every time Isabella this, Isabella that!

"he's...ehhhh... Just a friend" I lied.

"I'm watching you, I already have an expulsion letter with your name on it in my office. Just one wrong move and you're gone!" she threatened before walking away with her shoe making 'koi koi koi' sounds.

Wonders shall never end.

I was half way into the cafeteria when I bumped into someone. I was light that I the person nearly knocked me down. I regained my balance and looked up to see who it was.

It was Dan...fucking...iel.

"you nearly knocked me down" I spat out. He ignored me and kept walking but I was fast enough to grab him by the hand. "you're still not going to talk to me?"

Ever since I started dating Joshua I became invisible to Daniel. He hardly said anything to me or even acknowledged my presence most times.

"how long are you going to keep avoiding me?" I asked. He pulled his arm away from my grip.

"until you come back to your senses" he said with a fierce look and walked away.

I just lost my appetite!!!

I decided not to eat anything anymore so I went back to the classroom hoping that no one would be there, but no, Katerina just had to be the only person in the class.

I walked past where she was seated in the front row and comfortably on my seat at the third row.

It was nearly ten minutes already and we didn't anything to each other.

"Uhm... your mom wanted the both of us to we as r the same dress to the wedding" she said. She was looking backwards now.

"That's not going to happen!" I opposed. I could my mom discuss that with her and not me?

"That's what I thought" she said "so when you get home you can tell her that yourself"

"whatever" I murmured

"And another thing"

What now! Doesn't she ever shut up?

"what?" I was pissed already.

"You can't tell anyone I'm adopted" she said in a demanding tone.

Who wants to know if you were adopted or bought. No one cares!!!

"I don't give a damn" I said

"just don't tell anyone about it"

"Are you trying to say your boyfriend doesn't know?" I asked in awe.

"He doesn't need to know" Katerina replied

"I'm going to tell him". Like he'd care. What's so bad about being adopted that she doesn't want anyone to know.

"if you tell him I'll tell Mrs. Sharon Joshua is your boyfriend" Katerina threatened. I was actually scared of Mrs. Sharon finding out but I was not going to let Katerina know that.

"Be my guest. What's the worse she can do?"

"then I'll tell everyone that Sandra is pregnant" she said with a smirk making my mouth drop open.

How did she find out about that?!

Don't bite my head 'cause I'm honestly sorry for the late update but school just started and I'll be busy for awhile but I'm still going to keep updating.
