I like Tayo a lot and to be honest, I've been fantasizing of becoming his girlfriend but the way asked was just... the worst.

Don't get me wrong but he just blurted it out like I was some cheap girl that was begging him to become my boyfriend. And did he have to do it publicly, in the presence of his friends.

Then the kiss, I felt like he was trying to make Bella jealous but I wasn't sure. I just hope this goes well.

"cheers to Trayo!" Sandra squealed before everyone raised their glasses of sham pane in the air.

Yes, we were drinking shampane. It was Daniel's idea to celebrate.

"what's the meaning of Trayo? " Daniel asked before drinking from his glass.

"Duh.. It's a ship name. Combination of Trina and Tayo" Sandra said while pouring more wine into her glass.

All this while Bella had been quiet. She was texting the whole time.

Tayo held my hand tightly and smiled at me every now and then while Daniel was trying to look into Bella's phone. Sandra on the other was obviously going to get drunk with the way she was gulping down glasses on sham pane.

I was busy looking around when I suddenly saw Joshua. He walked briskly towards our table with a smirk. He was wearing a black shirt and and black jeans. Black suited him.

Bella hugged him immediately she saw him. I could see the death glares Daniel was giving Josh and the plastered smile on Sandra's face.

He said his hellos to us before he and Bella excused themselves. Daniel couldn't stop staring the whole time.

ISABELLA

Joshua held my hand and stood not far from the cafeteria.
Did I mention there was a butler or bodyguard following us the whole time?

He motioned for the butler who was standing a few steps away to come closer when we had stopped walking.

The butler handed him a him nylon bag and and he gave it to me.

"what's this?" I innocently asked. I looked up into his chocolate brown eyes and I was lost in them.

"it's for you, open it" he said and opened it.

The nylon contained a pink flat square shaped box. I opened the box and my mouth instantly dropped.

"oh my God. Joshua this is a diamond necklace" I was nearly stammering.

"that's not all, come with me" he took my hand and dragged me before I could say anything. He ran into the cafeteria and asked Daniel, Tayo and Trina to come outside. They were confused but they did as told. Still holding hands Joshua and I made our way outside.

I didn't know what was happening but I liked it. People were staring at us but I didn't give a damn.

We all got outside and everywhere was crowded 'cause it's the mall and it was Saturday.

"what are we doing here" I said feeling tired from the running.

Joshua was silent, he was smiling. Suddenly, John Legend's All of me started playing out of nowhere.

🎶 What would I do without your smart mouth, drawing me in and you kicking me out.... 🎶

The music was still playing loudly when a group of people appeared from the crowd and they all faced me and Josh. They were holding what seemed to be cardboards in their hands.

What's happening?

They lined up vertically all wearing white. They raised the cardboards high and they spelt....

The music was still playing and I was blushing and smiling like crazy while Josh knelt in front of me patiently waiting for my reply.

People had surrounded us by now. You needed to see people taking pictures and videos.

"Isabella you better say yes oo" Sandra shouted from behind.
"say yes! Say yes! Say yes!" Sandra started shouting and people joined her.

"so what's your---"

"Yes! Yes! Yes! I'll be your girlfriend" I squealed in glee not allowing Josh finish. I helped Joshua get up and we hugged ignoring the clapping and cheering.

This looks like a marriage proposal but it wasn't, it was just me getting the perfect boyfriend.

This is the best day of my life!

I think I'm in love.

"Joy! Joy!" I called out in excitement.

It was already 7pm and I just got home. My mom wasn't home yet.

I can't wait to tell Joy about my day!

She wasn't home. Now I was all alone.
After I agreed to be Joshua's girl, we went to an expensive restaurant which I've forgotten the name. I've been there before with my dad.
We talked and talked and that's when I realized that I didn't even know him that well before agreeing to be his girlfriend. But there's nothing to worry about 'cause he's a good guy.

And in case you're wondering, I was the one who asked him to come to the mall but I found out he actually planned on taking me there for our date. So since I was already there he surprised me with such a romantic gesture.

Isn't he the best?!

My phone buzzed and I took it out of my pocket.

I honestly don't even know what to think. Maybe they were angry with me or something. I can't tell. I really hope this doesn't affect our friendship.

I turned off my phone to avoid any of Sandra's disturbance.
I laid down on my bed and I dozed off before you could even say "humpity dumpity"

***next day***

((Door bell ringing))

"Isabella you've become deaf abi? Can't you hear the door bell?" mom shouted from the kitchen. She and Joy were preparing lunch while I was watching TV.

Isabella this, Isabella that...

Somebody will not rest in house sef....

I reluctantly stood up and went towards the doors.

I swung the door open and I nearly fainted when I saw her.

Katerina Isaac.

She can't be my stepsister. There must be another explanation. The shock on Katerina's face was evident.

"Bella what is wrong with you, let them in na" Joy said before I realized I've been staring at them like a fish.

"Good afternoon" I greeted the man in particular before they both made their way in.

Trina and I kept exchanging looks. My mom came out of the kitchen leaving Maria to set the table.
We all settled down at the dinning table and I was seated opposite Trina.

"you guys resemble oo" Joy had to say that

"I was thinking the same. I would think that you two were sisters if I didn't know you" Trina's dad said

"we're classmates" I blurted out.

The classmate I slapped.

"wow, that's interesting. I had no idea Isabella was going to Lagos Elite" Trina's dad said in glee.

Mom, Joy and Richard who was Trina's dad, kept on talking and talking mostly about how Trina and I would get along.

If only they knew.

"so I guess Katerina got her looks from her mother 'cause she looks nothing like you" mom said to Richard with a grin.

Katerina was more than embarrassed for some reason. She wanted to get out of here and I did too. This is ridiculous.

"Uhm.... Maybe that's because Katerina is adopted" Mr. Richard said.

This is shocking...

Katerina Isaac is adopted!
