"Ow.." I groan quietly as Isaac was cleaning my injuries.

He had me lay down in my bed, once we got to my house.

"Who did this?" Isaac asked after he finished cleaning up my injuries.

"It doesn't matter-"

"Yes, yes it does matter. Because if you don't tell me, those pieces of shit are going to think it's cool to do it again, and I'm not having that." He growled quietly, his face softening as he looked at me.

I felt tears threatening to just burst then and there, but I didn't want to let them out. But my emotions just won and I let out a quiet sob.

It really surprised me when he slowly hugged me. I hugged back.

"I don't want to go to school anymore... I-I don't know why they hate me so much.."

"Who? Who did this to you?" Isaac asked again.

I pulled away, looking away from him and staying quiet.

"Audrey, you have to tell me. And you have to tell me right now."

I sighed quietly. "It was.. Clarissa and.. some other people who were with her. She was mad because Leo was flirting with me."

I looked at Isaac, who seemed more enraged than ever.  He started getting up, but I stopped him.

"Please.. Don't do anything crazy.." I muttered quietly.

"I won't.. For now. But when tomorrow comes those assholes better have their days counted-"

"But you were suspended.. weren't you?" I ask him.

"That doesn't matter, they're still not going to get away with their shit." He said, as he settled back on the bed. "Is there anything you need?"

"It's okay I'm fine." I responded, a few seconds later hearing Blake run to the door.

"Uncle Isaac! Audrey!" He smiled.

I started getting up but he stopped me.

"I got this. You just rest okay?" He said as he got up.

I just nodded slightly, resting my head back on my pillows.

A few seconds later, the smell of eggs and other pretty nice smelling things filled up the air. My eyes widened when the door opened and Blake walked in with a tray of food.

"Uncle and I made food for you." Blake smiled.

"Enjoy!"

"Isaac, not uncle." Isaac corrected firmly.

Blake pouted.

"Thanks you guys." I smiled weakly at them as I ate.

"What happened to you auntie?" Blake asked when he looked at me.

"I.. hit myself with the wall." I quickly lied. "But I'm okay now."

To all of our surprise, my door opened. My eyes widened seeing my mom, I didn't think she would come out of work so early.

"Oh my goodness! Audrey, dear. What happened?! Are you okay sweetheart?" She ran up to me, placing a hand on one of my injuries. She looked at Isaac, giving him a look then giving me a look.

"Mom.."

"Isaac.. Can you please leave?" I ask him gently. He nodded. "If you need anything just call me, okay?" He said before walking out of my room, closing the door behind me.

"Normally, I would be telling you how you shouldn't be bringing boys when your dad and I aren't around, but honey, what happened? You look like you just got in a fist fight or something!" She said concerned.

"I didn't trust me...." I lied, trying to sound as sincere as possible.  "I just hit myself by mistake. But I'm better now, Isaac helped bring me home.. And-"

"Isaac?" She asked with a brow raised.

I sighed.. Since I knew I had a lot of explaining to do.

What the fuck? What the hell was wrong with them? I took out my phone and texted one of my friends. They've gotten into beef with Leo, so I didn't doubt that they'd know where he lived.  I went to the address they gave me, pounding loudly on the door. Leo opened the door, a scowl forming when he saw me.

"What the hell do you want?" He glared. I glared right back.

His friends who were with him walked over to him.

"Is this idiot bothering you?" One of them asked.

"We can fuck him up right now-"

Leo stopped them.

"Give us a second." He said, not looking away from me.

They nodded and walked away.

"So, what do you want?" He repeated, this time sounding more impatient.

"You better keep your stupid girlfriend away from Audrey or else I swear-"

"Girlfriend?" He repeated, knitting his eyebrows. "Oh Clarissa huh. What did she do now?" He chuckled under his breath, a scowl still formed on his face.

"She and some of her other friends beat Audrey up for absolutely no fucking reason."

"Oh shit, really? She's a feisty one." He mumbled under his breath before looking back at me. "So, what exactly am I supposed to do about it?"

"You better control your girlfriend, because when you mess with of one of my people you mess with me. And when you mess with me, you're messing with our gang."

Leo just let out a laugh.

"You think you're so tough aren't you?" He said, his laughing cutting short.

"What do you think you're doing? Threatening Clarissa? Threatening us?" Leo snickered.

"I'm not fucking around." I growled, pushing him back to the wall before he raised a fist.

"Just fucking wait tomorrow. All of you are paying." I said, a dead serious tone, before I walked away with Ryan and Daniel, who came with me for backup.

2 days later, after school

I walked home with Michelle. My mom refused to let me go to school so I ended up skipping yesterday.

"Girl, you need to tell the principal!" One of my friends exclaimed once I explained to them why I was absent yesterday.

"What that bitch did was straight up assault! You should've told me so me and the girls could've squared up and teach those bitches a lesson!"

I chuckled weakly.

"Michelle, even if you guys were there I'm sure they still would've gotten me.."

Those girls were in actual gangs... So would we even stand a chance?

"Okay, we may not be as tough as them? So what? I'll at least blind them with my pepper spray." Michelle and I laughed.

"Anyway," I began, when I stopped laughing.

"It happened outside of school...Even if I were to tell the school.. There's so little they can do."

"Girl.. You should've stayed at home." Hazel said.

"I'm so happy Isaac saw you and brought you home. He's a really nice guy." Hazel acknowledged. I smile weakly.

"It's fine... I couldn't miss any more of my homework, especially when we have a test this week." Hazel nodded.

"Well yeah, but we could've sent you screenshots of the homework or something."

We stopped walking when Clarissa walked up to me. Michelle and Hazel got in front of me.

"What the fuck do you want now, bitch?" Michelle snapped. "Wasn't hurting my poor friend fucking enough?"

"You stay out of this." She said, her friends dragging Hazel and Michelle away. I backed away.

"Leave me alone!" I shouted.

"Having Isaac threaten Leo huh? Wow you're such a pussy you know that?" She pushed me to the ground.

Michelle and Hazel tried freeing from the girls.

"Hey leave her alone!! You dumb blonde!" Michelle yelled.

I looked at the floor, expecting to get hit or something soon. Clarissa has made freshmen year a living hell for me..  But I never thought she'd go as far as beating me up. Now she was about to do it again. And of course I just had to be my weak self. It was over for me.
