Chapter 2
''You're at fucking school right? Not getting into problems with those stupid goofs you hang out with?" A deep voice asked harshly through the phone.
''Yeah yeah. We're all back at school."
''Good. And if you know what's best you better having the fucking mon-"
I hung him up before he even finished his sentence. I honestly wasn't in the mood to be dealing with my dad. I don't really care if he gets mad that I hung up when I get home.
I really don't care.
I walked around, looking for Jonas. When I found him, I walked up to him, trying to act casual but of course the dude was still able to look past the pokerface.
''What's up with you dude?" Jonas asked.
I glanced down at my phone and looked back at him. That told him everything.
''The demon called?" He inquired.
''And I hung up."
''Isaac-"
''Look Jonas, I know what you're gonna tell me and it's fine with me. I honestly don't care whatever the hells gonna be happening to me when I get home.. I am just not in the mood to be arguing today."
''Dude."
Jonas placed a hand on my shoulder. ''Are you sure you don't want to move in with me? I know I don't live in those fancy ass houses they always show on TV, but its better than living with that monster."
''You know luxury and all that crap isn't the problem Joe. I'm not moving in with you when I know you're dealing with your own problems. I'll be fine. Really."
Jonas thinned his lips, giving me a look of disbelief but he didn't say anything. He patted me.
''So.. What the hell happened back there with Dianne? Did you finally let yourself loosen up and have fun?" He teased.
I rolled my eyes. I knew Jonas knew that wasn't what happened.
"Nope.. Rick called me before we can-" I started to say but was interrupted by the bell ringing for next period.
I kept walking with him until I stopped by the door to my next period, my absolute favorite class (not at all) math.
''Well, watch ya later dude." Jonas gave me a pat on the back before he started walking to his art class.
I had my hand on the doorknob, ready to open the door until I decided.. A little smoking wouldn't hurt before going to class would it?
I caught up to Jonas and stopped him from walking. ''How about we smoke a joint or 2 before we go to class?"
''You read my mind." He smirked as we started walking out of school.

''Where were you Mr Robinson?" My nosy teacher Mr. Rogers just had to ask when I came in late.
''That's none of your business." I snapped back, earning a couple of giggles from the class.
''Young man, if you continue giving me this attitude I'm afraid I'll have to send you to the principal's office. It's been 24 minutes since class started."
''Well I'm here now aren't I?"
He sighed and scratched his balding head. "You know what, forget it and just sit down and listen.'' He looked back at his smartboard and continued writing.
''Now where was I? Oh right, in order to find the X in this problem, you need to first-" He paused before he started sniffing around. ''Are those cigarettes I smell?"
Shit.
''Which one of you was smoking? Just make my life and your life easier and tell me who you are." He waited for someone to respond to him.
''Very well. If you're not telling me I'll have to find out who you are myself.'' He said as he paced around everyone, eyeing us all carefully. He checked a few kids' backpacks and smelled them, looking pretty stupid as he did so to be honest.
He looked at some girl named Amber, who seemed to be texting with someone on her phone. ''Miss Amber, hand me your phone."
''What? Why?"
''First of all, you're supposed to have your phones put away at this time. Second of all-"
''You know what I don't wanna hear your boring lecture whatever here." She let out a huff before handing the phone to him.
He eyed her suspiciously. ''Can I see your backpack?"
She scoffed but shook her head. ''Why? I have nothing to hide."
''If you have nothing to hide it shouldn't be a problem letting me see your backpack."
''I don't have any fucking cigarettes if that's what your insinuating, Mr. Rogers!" She snapped.
''Language please." He warned.
''Well I already said no to checking my backpack. The only stuff you'll be seeing in my backpack are stuff that we girls don't really want others seeing if you know what I mean." She held onto her backpack defensively, her face starting to heat up in anger.
My teacher let out a sigh. ''I'm afraid I'll still have to check."
''I already said no, and if you want to call the deans office, my mom, the whole world be my guest I don't give a fuck you have no right to embarrass me a no is and no and if I said it wasn't me it wasn't me!!"
I was starting to get sick of all the fuss happening because of one fucking cigarette so I just stood up. ''It was me." I could feel everyone's eyes on me but I couldn't care less.
Before Mr. Rogers could say what I knew he would say, I took my backpack off my seat and started getting up.
''Yup I know. The principal's office." I mocked the tone of his voice, grabbing my backpack. I walked out of class, but instead of going to the principal like I should have, I walked out of school..not surprised when I saw Jonas out as well.
''They snitched on ya too? You know what they say, 'snitches get stitches' so let's go give that fool a piece of our min-"
''You're lookin' at him." I told him. He looked at me in confusion until realization hit his face. He gave me a funny look.
''Dude why would you do that to yourself?" He chuckled.
''That old man was starting to getting fucking annoying as fuck. He wouldn't quit bothering the class, especially Amber. He should've just stopped insisting when Amber told him to."
''I knew my dude had some gentleman in him." Jonas teased, before he started unzipping his backpack.
I shrugged.
Might as well be what my father never was....never will be.
Look, I may be a lot of shit. I know.
I am, and probably can be anything BUT like my dad.
I'm not gonna be the same type of person he was with my mother.. Or with me.
''Let's get outta here dude. I'm done being in class."
''But what about our last day? Dude, if your dad founds out he's gonna-"
''I'm used to it." I said with a sigh.. because I really was.
