(??? POV)

Darkness.

That's all I saw when I woke up, all I could gather from this situation was that: 1. I was in a metal cage. 2. I'm surrounded by boxes. 3. I have no idea of where the hell I am, or where I'm going. Next thing I know, the box suddenly stops and I'm thrown to the center of the box.
I suddenly heard a bunch of voices, boys voices. The top of the box opened, and in jumped a blond boy who noticed me the second he came in.

"It's a girl,"he said.

"Holy shuck!"

"I call dibs!"

"Shut up, will you? You're scaring her," he started,"Hey, it's alright. I'm Newt, do you remember your name?"

I shook my head, and teared up because of the fact that I had none of my memories. Newt noticed this, and started to comfort me.

"Hey now, it's alright. I won't hurt you," Newt said. I noticed that he had a very strong British accent.
We both climbed out of the box, and then a dozen or more voices started to talk at once.

"Holy shuck, it is a girl"

"Like I said, dibs!"

"Is she hot?"

I started to get teary-eyed at all the boys overwhelming me. Again, Newt noticed this.

"Oi! Shut up, you slintheads! You're freaking her out," he said to the others...wait a minute. Shuck? Slinthead? What the hell is going on here?! Then, a dark-skinned boy walked up to me.

"Welcome to the Glade, greenie. I'm Alby, do you remember anything," he questioned.

I finally gathered enough courage to speak. "N-no, I don't remember anything," I said.

I finally saw an opening between the gigantic group of boys. So, I did the only thing I could think of.... I ran.
I ran as fast as I could towards this really big opening in the wall.

"She's heading for the maze!"

"Someone stop her!"

"Run girl, run!"

I ran until I bumped into a hard chest and fell on my arse. When I got a look at who I ran into, I was speechless. The person I ran into was a tall, tan, handsome asian boy.

"You okay," he asked.

"Y-yeah, I think I'll be alright," I stuttered.

"Come on, let's get you back to the others, greenie," he said. There it is again. What is a greenie?

We both started to walk back to the others. Newt and Ably came up to us once we got there. They started to talk about some tour or something like that. After, they turned to me at the same time. Creepy. (Lol, jk. We all love those three cuties.)

"Alright greenie, since you and Minho have started to get cozy with each other, he is gonna give you the grand tour," Newt said while smirking. Wait, why is he smirking? And Minho? Oh, that must be the boy's name.

"Umm, okay then," I said nervously. But, hey. Wouldn't you be nervous if you were the only girl surrounded by a bunch of guys?

"Let's go," Minho said.

"The rest of you shanks, get back to work," ordered Alby.

During the tour, Minho told me everything about the Glade.

"Alright greenie, we only have three rules here. 1 . Everyone does their part. 2. Never hurt another glader. 3. Never go outside the walls of the maze unless you're a runner. Soon enough, you'll get your job here, which covers rule number one," he stated.

"Wait, maze," I questioned.

"Yeah," he pointed to the entrance that I tried to run to,"That's the maze. You can only go in there if you're a runner."

I opened my mouth to say something, but he cut me off "No, you can't be a runner... unless you're chosen to be one."

I stayed silent, until the end of the tour. He walked me back to the Homestead, where I'll be staying since I'm the only girl. I feel soooo special.

"Get some rest, tomorrow you'll have to try out different jobs, so the keepers can see what you can do," he said and started to walk away.

"Alright, thanks Minho," I yelled after him.

"No problem," he yelled over his shoulder.

I walked into the Homestead, Newt already showed me where I was gonna sleep. Then, I laid down on my hammock. I thought about tomorrow until sleep took over my body.
