-------------------------------------------------------------

"According to Kija, Shin-ah, and Eyre, the Ryokuryuu's presence disappeared in that direction." Yun says and we all continue walking down the cliff trail. Hak steps away and turn the other direction.

"I'm going to go back to the town."

"Huh?"

"I wanna look at the weapons in town. I'm the only one that can pick. Shirohebi-sama, please hold onto this."

"Why me?!"

"Well, take Eyre with you. Make sure she buys some clothes." Yun shoves me forward. "Keep an eye on her." I puff out my cheeks before turning around. Hak takes my hand and smirks.

"Now don't stray off."

"I'm not a child! I'm older than you!" Hak still doesn't let go of my hand and I fume. We soon reach town and decide that it's best to buy the weapon first. He looks though the windows, contemplating on which weapon store would be best.

"Oh, you're..." A voice says besides us and our heads turn simultaneously.

"Hello, hello. It must be fate that we meet again." Jea-ha says, sparkles flying around him. I turn to Hak, since Jea-ha was obviously addressing him.

"Hak, do you know him?"

"Well, more or less."

"Oh! You're that pretty lady from yesterday! I'm glad to see you're wearing the kimono I bought for you." He sends me a wink and I roll my eyes. Jea-ha swings him arm around our shoulders and leans in.

"Truth is, I'm being chased."

"By officers?" Hak and I ask in unison.

"Ummm, well something like that. Don't worry, your pretty face won't be in harm's way." He tips my head up to him again and I elbow him in the gut.

That's when I find myself waiting outside a certain building, waiting for Hak and Jea-ha to finish their conversation.

"How could they just leave me out here... Q^Q" I crouch in front of the store, trying to block out the weird noises.

Just endure it. As soon as they walk out, they'll be so full of holes, people will toss coins to them in hopes of their wishes coming true.

"Eyre? What are you doing in front of here?" My head lifts up and I see Yona there with Yun. I smirk.

Hak you're so dead.

I point to the room above me and they look up.

"AHH! Hak! What are you doing there?!" Yun is the first to react. His face strikes with shock and he looks down at me with a glare. I smile innocently, lifting my Beretta up, and clicking the safety off while drawing a line across my neck with the other hand.

"No, this isn't what it looks like. He made me come... Te ine (He's gone)?!" Hak jumps off the railing, clearly pissed off.

"What are you doing here in broad daylight?" Yun interrogates.

"What are you guys doing here?"Hak fires back.

"Kija says he feels the Ryokuryuu's presence from around here. I didn't think it'd be a place like this, and that you'd be here. And to make matters worse, you forced Eyre to come with you. So dirty." I pretend to sob, just to lay it on him worse. Yun shuffles over and hugs me, glaring at Hak.

"Um, don't misunderstand. I was-"

"Hak."

"Huh?"

"Just tell me when you want to come to a place like this! I didn't realize that you..."

"You've got it wrong!"

"All right, thank you for the kind words." Yun claps him hands and helps a 'crying' me to my feet. We all walk to where Kija said he would be. Which is relatively close considering it's near the building.

"What?! How dare he lie to the princess and go to such an immoral place! And to force Eyre to go with him!"

"I've lost my respect for him."

"Now hold on. You guys need to listen-"

"Kija, Yun, don't say that. Even Hak has times when he wants to pay with girls."

"Don't say something outrageous like you know it all."

"Eyre, would you like us to buy you something to get your mind off it?" Kija asks me as he gives me a piggy back ride. I shake my head, keeping the beads of 'tears' in my eyes.

I deserve an Oscar for this.

That's when Hak grabs us and shoves us in a narrow alleyway.

"Quiet." He shushes and I see officers walk past us.

"It's the officers. We should leave once we've got what we need."

"We draw too much attention." We all continue walking, down the slightly less crowded streets.

"Kija, do you feel the Ryokuryuu's presence?" Yun asks him and he shakes his head. The map pops into my head and the green dot is out at sea again.

"He's in the ocean." I comment as the map slowly vanishes.

"What?!" Yun cries out but he's interrupted by another girl's voice.

"Umm..." She glances at Hak warily.

"Huh? You're that girl..."

"Yes, thank you for yesterday." She bows with a smile and I raise an eyebrow.

Yesterday?

"It's dangerous for you to walk around here where the officers are."

"I can't help it. I work around here, so..." I hop off Kija's back and step towards the girl, gently grabbing her hand.

"Why don't we talk about it else where?" She hesitantly nods her head and leads us to a nearby restaurant.

"What?! You punched and kicked an officer?!" Yun yells at Hak and bonks him over the head. He grasps it painfully and glares at Yun before continuing.

"Basically. But it was another passer that kicked him." The waiter returns with a platter of dumplings and I thoughtfully chew on one.

"Uh-huh. What a courageous passer-by. You did something that stands out a lot, huh?"

"I was being extra careful."

"Uh-huh. Do the officers here do things that stupid in broad daylight." Yun asks the girl and she sadly nods her head.

"Yes. They make a racket in stores, take girls when they want... All we can do is try our best to not provoke them."

"Why?" I ask her but Hak fills us in.

"Yang Keum-ji."

"Keum-ji?"

Kimchi?

"I heard he's the lord of Awa. That everyone in town is afraid of him." Hak finishes and the girl nods.

"Y-yes. Keum-ji has all the officers working for him. To do business, we are forced to pay unreasonably high taxes to Keum-ji. There're also disturbing rumors in this town, but we can't do anything about it."

"No wonder the people here lack spirit." Yona says and I tilt my head in confusion.

"Really? They look quite lively to me." I say and Kija nods his head, although Yun makes no comment.

"It looks lively, but it looked like they were faking their smiles" Yona concludes.

"What about the pirates?"

"Pirates?" Hak and I asks in confusion.

This world has pirates?!

"There was a boat anchored at the coast nearby. It'll be more crime-filled if things like that are here."

"No, they've never harmed the people here." The girl clears up for us.

"Oh, really?"

"How so?" I ask.

"True, they commandeer ships, but they commandeer Yang Keum-ji' ships."

By the time we've come back to our little camp site, Shin-ah is there guarding and the moon is relatively close to being above our heads. Kija's head moves to the right, left, anywhere, trying to locate the Ryokuryuu's presence. Hak shivers and question marks pop out of our heads.

~*~

Hak flinches again.

"What? You've been all weird since yesterday." I explain quite irritably to Hak and he shakes his head. We're all walking in town, in search of the Ryokuryuu, although Shin-ah isn't with us. I feel for the guy though.

I'll buy something for him while we're here.

Everything in the town is peaceful. Well, as peaceful as it could get. Everyone is still falsely smiling, and ever since Yona pointed it out yesterday, I've noticed it a lot more.

"Let's try that way." Yun points off and we all nod.

"Kija, where's the Ryokuryuu?" He turn his head a few times.

"I think he's in this town, but he's very fast and won't hold still." Glass shatters in front of us and a vases crashes out the window. A shard flies in my direction and I hold my arms up to protect myself. Luckily, Kija caught it before it hit me. I nod my head in thanks. We all dash forward to the store and peer in through the smashed window.

"W-what's going on?"

"The officers are making a racket." Hak states simply and I instinctively inch my hands towards the guns I have under my kimono. Since the kimono is long, Yun made straps and holders that I strapped to my thigh. He made me wear leggings though, or what I classify as leggings since they basically are. Anyway, Yona's eyes burn with hatred as she suppresses herself from running in and shooting arrows at the officers. We both walk forward, gun and bow in hand. Hak places a hand on my shoulder and Kija does the same to Yona.

"You mustn't, princess." He warns.

"But.." I shrug Hak's shoulder off and click my tongue in anger, walking the opposite direction. They all follow me and I see the officers leave out of the corner of my eye. In the town square, Hak pauses to look at a billboard.

"Oi. I'm going off on my own. Take care of the princess." Then, he dashes off. I stare at his retreating back in confusion.

"What's gotten into him?" Yun asks.

Unsurprised, Yona let's out a, "Ah." We all look at the billboard.

"AH."

Wanted

"Ah, look. A picture of Hak..." We all stare at it for a moment before bursting out into laughter. I tear off the paper from the billboard and neatly fold it, promising myself that I'll look at it whenever I get the chance. From there we continue walking on. Kija leads us to a different direction for a while before we spot Hak running towards us.

"Hak!" Yona yells out as he comes to a stop in front of us.

"Hime-sama, why are you here?"

"He said he felt the Ryokuryuu's presence around here." I fill in, pointing to Kija.

"What?"

"I will try over there." Kija dashes off and I follow after. We walk around the block a bit before stopping in front of where we left off.

"Did you find him?" Kija asks me and I shake my head. He head whips to the roof above us before grabbing me and pulling me into his chest. That's when I hear a loud crash and bang, dust flying into the air. I close my eyes as it soon clears up.

"Ouch... My strong body even amazes me." A familiar voice says and Kija and I look down at Jea-ha.

"Are you two... together?" He asks us before I jump away from Kija, waving my arms around just as he is. Jea-ha rants angrily while in the pot, having his butt stuck in it. I calm down slightly and chuckle.

"Hello, little White Dragon." He says before turning to me and winking, "And a hello to you too, Eyre dearest." I roll my eyes, arms folded across my chest.

"I never thought the Hakuryuu would be such a beautiful young man." Kija pauses for a minute before tilting his head with a closed eye smile. Next thing I know, I'm on his shoulder and the pot with Jea-ha stuck in is on his arm.

"Ryokuryuu mitsuke mashitaa~!" He runs around town and I'm shrieking.

"Kija! Put me down!"

"Eh?! We're going like this?!"

"The Ryokuryuu fell from the sky! This must be destiny!"

"Hey, hey, hey, Hakuryuu-kun! We'll draw attention like this! We shouldn't stand out, right?"

"Hm?" Kija skids to a stop and I almost fly off his shoulder if it wasn't for Jea-ha catching me by the waist and gently setting me down to my feet. I sigh and thank him. Jea-ha didn't fly out of the pot, like Kija thought he would.

"Huh? What a strange buttocks you have."

"How swollen do you think my butt is?"

"Why are we talking about this?!?!"

"I have been looking for you."

"Wait, are we going to talk here, like this?"

"Our master awaits. My Four-Dragon brother, let us protect our master together." Jea-ha looks down at Kija, a strange glint in his eye.

"What do you mean protect? Is he a king or something?"

"No, not right now, but she-"

"Unfortunately," Jea-ha swings his right foot and swings it right at the pot. The pot shatters into pieces and Jea-ha freely jumps away, stepping in front of us by a couple of feet. "I like my life style right now, and I have things I want to do. So I have no intention of going just because a stranger says so." He turns his head to look at us. "Sorry." Then sticks his tongue out.

"Wait! Aren't you a Dragon? Dragons should live and die to protect their master. After thousands of years, finally... Finally, our master has come for us. We are not Dragons just passing on the blood. The long cherished dream, that the past Dragon could not realize-" Jea-ha stops walking.

"Good grief, of all the Dragons, the one that came for me is like a marionette. Is you own thought a part of that cherished dream of the past Dragons? If you blindly wish to protect your master just because you were told to, then that is not a cherished dream, it's just a nightmare. I feel sorry for you." And then he jumps away, leaving a shell-shocked Kija standing there. And me, I grab ahold of Kija hand, squeezing it lightly.

-----------------------------------------------

- Eyre got bored half the time during their walk to Awa, so when she blasted Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi and got to the chorus, everyone had memorized it by then. Even Shin-ah was singing along.

- Everyone held a debate on who was the most motherly one, Yun or Eyre, when those two went out to fill up their water supply. Ao had the most votes.

- When Yun said, "We only have 21 miles till we get to Port Awa." Eyre made the '21' joke and only Hak got it, since the two had a great bonding time when they were guarding the cave room.
