And it's coming together

I sat at the foot of my bed, terrified. Shaking. I look at the clock. 3:33 am. I stood up and filled a bag up with clothes and slipped out the window, tears streaming down my face. No one would listen. No one will believe me. I ran to Ava's as fast as I could and went straight to her bedroom window, pounding on it. The room lit up, followed by the curtain swinging open to Ava standing in the window half asleep.
She sighed and slid the window open.
"I need to talk to you, I don't know who else to go to." I said.
"What happened? Are you ok?" She asked.
"No, I'm not. I had a dream."
"Okay Martin Luther King, can you be more specific?"
"It was about him."

I explained everything to her. The dream, what had happened at school, everything. She looked terrified.
"What did he mean by 'he is almost ready,' Jordan?"
"Ava, I don't know. I dont even know who HE is."
Suddenly her vision went straight to my neck and her face instantly turned pale.
"Don't freak out.." she said.
Knowing me, she should've known better to say that because I instantly jumped up to look in the mirror and what I saw, scared me in ways unimaginable.
A hand print. Right where he grabbed me.
"Do you believe me?" I asked, looking at Ava.
Her face said yes but she said "I don't know Jordan.. are you sure you didn't fall?"
I had never been so angry in my life. I grabbed my bag and went to slip back out the window.
"Jordan, I believe you, wait!"
I stopped and looked at her.
"I've been dreaming too.."

My heart sank but at the same time, I felt relieved.
I set my bag down.
"Tell me everything."
