Sruthi pushed open the door in a swift motion and pulled out a chair for herself. She sat on it with a grumpy face. All things had messed up her mind that she totally forgot about the happenings around her. Few eyes were fixed on her imbecile acts. How will it not? Afterall someone has just interrupted their important meeting. "We will have this meeting tomorrow. You may leave" "But ma'am-" "I think I was clear enough" came a soft yet commanding voice. Immediately they obeyed and left the room not before casting a vague look on Sruthi. The owner of the voice got up from the chair and moved towards Sruthi. "This face doesn't suit my baby" she said while circling her arms around Sruthi.
"Gayu! Then what shall I do ma?" Sruthi asked while removing her hand and turning towards her. Tears had already traced it's way down her cheeks. Gayathri couldn't stand her tears at all, as she sees Sruthi as her own daughter. She considers her as a 5-year-old. She held Sruthi's face in her hand and said, "Baby, you are strong. You only tell me that life is an unimaginable puzzle. When it's playing with you, you can't fall weak na kanna" "But...But...Gayu... What's my fault here? He has cheated me na? Then why is he pointing out at me? What have I done" Sruthi said with a broken tone.
"Sru, he doesn't deserve your tears. You had been strong all this while. Now what happened?" Gayathri asked. "I'm still strong. Tears Don't make a person weak. It just shows that that person has some feelings, which certainly that idiot doesn't have. Scoundrel, ogre, pinnochio-" Sruthi started ranting. "Woah baby! Can you hear what are you talking? Did you see any English film recently? Relax! Listen! I have filed the complaint. Just the way you asked me to. Now what should I do?" Gayathri asked.
Now that gave some ray of hope to Sruthi. She immediately looked up with her eyes shimmering in the royal gold light. "Now it's time for some fun!" She said. "But Sru? What happened? Why are you pulling this issue right now? After so many years?" Gayathri asked. Those shimmering ones started producing pearls of tears from Sruthi's eyes. "He betrayed me Gayu! He's no different from any other guy!! He's greedy! You know what he has made me sign a contract paper where I should pay him ₹75 lakhs within 6 months!!! Can you even imagine? What does he think of me? Even if I work day and night, I could never pull up such a large amount!!"
Gayathri was in such a shock that she couldn't interpret things going on. She picked up her phone and said, " Uh hello! Aakash! Yeah, make the papers this way. If the person tries to escape, his property, both movable and immovable will be sealed forever. Yeah! Make it quick!" "Property? Gayu, what the hell are you talking? It was just repriman-" "Shut up Sruthi. You don't know about him. I've been trying to keep myself calm even after seeing your red eyes. Not anymore!" Gayathri kneeled infront of Sruthi and cupped her face and gave an assuring nod to her.
Anirudh's P. O. V.
'Mild sounds of flying were constantly heard. Except for that nothing was heard outside but internally, someone was shouting his lungs out. He couldn't decipher his feelings. Nothing seems perfect and nothing is going according to the plan. He again looked at the paper were his love had signed accepting to all terms mentioned. He knew, that it was impossible for his girl, but he had no other option'. I closed the book and threw it on the floor. My current situation has already been written, not only in my fate but also in the book which gave. I have changed myself so much for her. Eventhough I hate reading, I've started making that as a habit. What the hell did you do to me? Why me Sruthi?
All my frustrations had piled up to an extent that it might burst at any moment now. My fist banged the table on it's own. I realised that only when that stinging pain along with dripping of blood from my fingers hit my head. "Ani! Are you alright? What-" Amma came rushing hearing to the breaking sound of the glass. "What the hell have you done to yourself, Ani!" She screeched looking at the blood dripping down from her son's knuckles. She ran towards his room and searched for first aid box. She dressed his wounds while her tears were constantly falling on his hand. "Amma stop this. Why the hell are you crying?" He yelled. "Now have I lost the right to even cry?" "What are you talking Amma?" "What the hell are you doing Ani?"
"We cry for only those whom we care the most. Tears aren't something to easily flow down! What has happened to you? You seem so wierd from yesterday! By the way, where were you last night......" All her words seem to vanish somewhere. 'We cry for only those whom we care the most' This was constantly ringing inside my head. So was Sruthi true to me? Did she care for me? "Ani are you even listening?" Amma shook me back to reality. "Amma, after I left the engagement hall, how did things go there?" I don't know why did I ask this but somewhere around that question lies my answer. "Why are you changing-" "Amma please! Just say did anything go wrong there?" "What are you saying Ani? Of course not! Everything went well. But one thing was saddening" Now I know that there is my answer.
"Sruthi ran back to her room and I heard that she never let anyone in"
Vanakkam Makkals!! How are you all? I know it was a long wait but no more!! Give it up for our new entry, my mommy, GayathriUtrapathy!!!
