ponyboy's p.o.v

we walked out of the court room. Nathan's parents yelling at the top of there lungs.

"YOUR A NO GOOD HOOD! GO DIG A HOLE FOR YOURSELF!" I felt tears start to form in my eyes.

"GO TO HELL!" they shove her into the police call and drives off.

"come on pone,don't listen to her."

its your fault my baby is dead.

"ponyboy?"

"I'm okay." I said and walk to the truck.

"johnny, Caleb you comeing?"

oh so that's his name. i felt someone hug my legs. i look down quickly to see what had grabed my legs. it was jake.

"i seen him! i seen nathan ponyboy!" he was sobbing again. poor kid. if i lost soda I would probably be the same. I look down and see the 14 year old looking up at me.

"you don't believe me,do you!"

"Jakob i do believe you." i yelled as he ran across the steet.

"JAKOB!" I yell and run after him pushing him off the road."DO YOU WANNA DIE. HUH DO YOU!"

"i wanna be with my brother."

"hey are you two okay?"the gang come rushing over. i had pulled jake back into a hug and he just burryed his face in my shirt saying Nathan's name over and over.

"yeah,were alright." I pull Jakob closer to me.

"I don't wanna go to a boys home pony." memories of when soda and I we're in a boys home came rushing Back in my head. It was terrible.I don't want Jakob to go through that. He's to sweet of a kid. It changed people. I should know. It changed me and soda.

"Don't worry Jakob. I won't let them take you away."

Later that night............

"Please Darry."

"Ponyboy , we can hardly take take of are selfs. let alone jake."

"darry please jake need me.I made a promise to nathan to take care of his family and im keeping it. he's was another brother to me and so is jake!"

"WE CANT FEED HIM PONYBOY! ME AND SODA ALREADY WORK OUR ASSES OFF TO KEEP YOU!"

"Pony, its okay ill find sone other place to stay."he said tears froming.

"No,your staying here." i yelled. he looked at the floor.

"no,thanks alot pony." he said and ran out.

"JAKE!" I ran out passing soda,steve,Johnny and Caleb.

"What's going on?" soda asked but I ignore him and keep running after Jake.

"PLEASE STOP JAKE!" jake stoped in the street a truck going 100 miles per hour come down the street hiting sending him.flying. "JAKE!"

"Thanks for everything ponyboy."

"No,Please don't die!" I pulling him closer to me. First mom and dad then Nathan now Jakob.

"I love you." and with that his eyes closed. I start shaking and. Pull the lifeless body closer to me.

"Pony! Are you okay?" soda said sitting next to me. He stops when he sees the tears in my eyes and Jake's lifeless body in my arms. "Oh ponyboy."

"He was only 14 soda. He had a good life ahead of him now he's dead. I let down Nathan." I sob. He pulls me close and before I knew it I fall asleep on soda
