Rayaan's P.O.V

I was drinking my morning boost up drug; coffee. Coffee one thing I can't function without I have to at least going through one cup before I start the day.  When Mr. Larry our butler announced that Sophia was here to see me and that she was in the living room. I took my cup of warm delicious bitter sweet coffee with me as I went to meet Sophia.

Just as I entered I saw a figure wearing all black covered from head to toe the only thing visible was the person's familair piercing hazel greenish brownish eyes.

"Sophia...?" I asked hesitantly. Cautiously staring at the person standing there. Holding my breath and questioning my sanity if I was just seeing things. Maybe I need to cut off my caffeine.

"Who else would I be? Malakul Mot (The angle of death)?" the person remarked laughing

"Oh My Allah Sophie! Is that really you?" I asked placing my free hand against my chest

"I thought we were over this. Yes, it's me Ray." she said with her eyes full of amusement as she lifted the niqab (a veil that covers the face) to reveal her smiling face. I ran up to her placing my coffee on a nearby table and gave her a tight hug. We haven't seen each other in almost a year and half. she was one of my only favorite cousins. I guess being the same age and almost similar birthdays accounts to that.

"Ray your choking me"

"Oh My Allah. Sophie!! When did this happen." Still holding her in arm's length as I pulled away alittle

"Thank you. I thought I wouldn't see the light of day again after that hug. I can't believe your grip is that strong when you look like that"she stated teasing "Anyways I've been a niqabi for almost a year now."

"Wow and you didn't tell me."

"I thought you already knew habibty since your parents know."

"You know I am like the last person that knows what's going around me"  It was a very sad truth. I don't know why but that's just how it is.

"True that" she stated laughing

"We can talk more as we pack up. I brought boxes."

We talk more than we packed. Even after we prayed Dhur my room looked like it was barly packed at all. It looked like a huge mess but, it was the most fun I had in a long time. That's one of the reasons why I liked hang out with Sophia she can make the most boring thing into a really fun thing. We were done a few mintues before magrib

"Do you want to go to the Masjid and pray?" Sophia asked

"Yeah let's go." I said because the last time I was in the masjid was last year for Eid Ul Adha Morning Prayer.

"Okay, I'll just make wudu first." She stated as she got up and walked towards the adjacent bathroom

Being at the mosque had always given me a peaceful feeling of fulfillment, a sense of belonging even though there was barely anyone there, we stayed a few minutes after we prayed Magrib prayer listen to the the Imam's lecture and in those few minutes I felt free of all worries until my ring tone sounded distributing the quite sanctuary I fumbled to get my phone out

Oooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh You're a good soldier Choosing your battles Pick yourself up...

I was finally able to put in silent with my cheeks flaming in embarrassment. The damage was done and everyone that was still there were staring at me like I just commuted murder

"Ray... Ray... that... was... Epic ... you should have seen your facial expression." Sophia choked out laughing with her witchy real laugh holding her stomach almost rolling around break the deafening silence

"Sisters I am going to have to ask you to keep it down." Some lady said coming behind us we looked up at her frowning disapproving face Made Sophia to zip up

"We should go." She whispered to me.

"Couldn't agree more."

We got up fast and left to get our shoes from the shoe rank. I called my chafer to inform him that we were ready to go.

"Can you sleep over since we are going to leave tomorrow to go see our place we could go together?"

"I'll have to call Baba and ask but I'd love to." She said as she got out her iPhone and called her father, it was decided that she'l be staying over tonight. This was going to be epic.
Sophia never slept in the guest room when ever she slept over. We shared my room barely got any sleep done when she was here. Talking, watching movies, dramas, prank calls and evil schemes. Back then she was my inseparable opposite twin. Though our fathers were brother and we looked nothing alike. She was almost like a younger version of her mom; the hazel eyes, light carmel skin tone, and heavy soft natural curled dark brown hair. When Ummu Sophia died during labor. It hit Sophia hard because that day she lost three people in her life her still born brother, her mother and she also lost her relationship with her father. That was five years ago alot has changed with her since that day. A year after her mothers death he father remarried. I remember that day like it was yesterday after the wedding I found Sophia hidding in the bathroom crying. I've never seen her cry that hard and when I asked her what was wrong she never gave me the answer she just said "Inna illah wa inna ilyhi rajiun (to God we be long and to him we will return)" and after that she never slept over again until today. It seemed just like the old times back when we were in our early teen.

I dozed off while we were watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone the hunderdth time on my Mac. I think it was around 3 a.m but I really didn't have the energy to think.
