Chapter 28: Thursday 9th of March

San's POV

I glanced away from my textbook as a piece of paper was slipped onto my desk. I looked over at Wooyoung who had his head down and was writing but I could see the smile on his face. I rolled my eyes but checked around quickly before sneakily unfolding the note and looking at it.

Get lunch and then meetup ROR?

I held back a chuckle and nudged Wooyoung's ankle with my foot, making him glance over. I nodded quickly and his grin widened before he looked back down and I did the same. I held back a grin as I felt Wooyoung's foot shift beneath the desk, his ankle hooking behind mine. When the bell finally rang, we both got up quickly and left the room.

"Hey Woo, you staying in the Great Hall for lunch," Yunho called out as he and Mingi jogged to catch up with us.

"Oh, uh no, not today. San and I were going to go for a walk," Wooyoung said.

"Cool, why don't we all go out and enjoy the sun," Mingi said with a grin. I glanced at Wooyoung who had looked to me as well and seemed a little disappointed.

"We weren't going outside, just around the castle," he said.

"That's fine. I feel like we've barely been spending time together," Yunho said, wrapping his arm around Wooyoung's shoulder.

"I actually think I might have lunch with Seonghwa so you guys have fun," I said. Wooyoung glanced at me with a frown but didn't refute as we all headed to the Great Hall. It's been hard sometimes to get away and have some time to ourself as we still hadn't told anyone. Everything was still very new as it's been less than two weeks. I gave him a weak smile before splitting off from them and heading over to the Slytherin table where Hongjoong and Seonghwa were sitting.

"Hey, nice of you to join us," Hongjoong said with a grin.

"Hey," I said slowly, glancing between the two of them in confusion.

"Why do you look so guilty," Seonghwa asked with a grin.

"I'm not," I said quickly.

"Ok," Hongjoong said with a shrug. Seonghwa slung his arm over my shoulder and I shuffled closer, leaning into his hold.

"I'm glad you're happy Sannie," he whispered softly.

"Uh thanks," I replied slowly. It was an odd thing to say but I get it with how hectic things have been.

"Are you guys coming to the match tonight? Wooyoung's playing against Hufflepuff," I said as I grabbed a sandwich.

"Of course we are. We need to be there with you to support him," Seonghwa said.

"Awesome, I know he'll be happy with that. He went to my last match and sat through the rain so it's only fair I go watch as well," I said.

"Yeah that too," Hongjoong said with a nod. I frowned and glanced between the two of them with narrow eyes.

"You guys are acting weird," I said mistrustingly.

"No we aren't, we've just missed you," Hongjoong said with a pout.

"You haven't been spending much time with us the past like week and a half," Seonghwa said.

"Sorry, just been a bit busy," I said with a shrug.

"I bet," Hongjoong sniggered. Oh shit. They know.

"How? It's hasn't even been two weeks," I gasped, trying to keep my voice low. Seonghwa smiled softly and slipped his hand into mine.

"You're my little brother Sannie, and I love you. I notice pretty much everything about you because as the older brother, it's my duty to make sure you're doing ok," he said softly.

"Not to mention we're kind of the experts at hiding relationships," Hongjoong whispered as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. Ok, so this is actually happening. And this is definitely not the place to talk about it.

"Can we go somewhere priva-."

"Yeah, come on," Seonghwa said, standing up quickly. I followed the two of them out of the Great Hall and out of the castle completely. We walked for a bit until we got to a secluded area by some trees.

"How long have you guys known," I asked quietly.

"Since Tuesday last week. I noticed the way you looked at Wooyoung had changed. I mean I've known for a while that you've had feelings for him and were just too blind yourself to see it, but something had changed in you. I've grown up with you and I know every look you have, this was new. Plus Hongjoong mentioned the talk you two had so we've both been looking a bit closer lately," Seonghwa said. I bit my lip nervously and drew my knees up to my chest.

"Don't worry, we aren't mad that you've been hiding it. It's understandable given that it's pretty recent," Seonghwa said.

"I mean I wouldn't really have any right to be angry anyway," he added with a weak chuckle.

"No, it's not that. Um, I'm just nervous cos you guys know now. I hadn't really thought about what to tell you because I didn't think I would be telling you so soon," I said quietly.

"Oh Sannie, that's ok. If you're worried we don't support you or something, we both love Wooyoung, he's great," Seonghwa said softly.

"No, it's not that. We agreed not to tell anyone for a bit. We were going to wait until we were sure about everything before we told any of you guys," I said with a sigh.

"Are you not sure," Hongjoong asked.

"What," I questioned in confusion.

"Are you not sure about Wooyoung. Is this just a flin-."

"Hongjoong I've never been in a relationship before. I don't-. I haven't even had a crush on anyone before. This is all so new to me and to be honest I feel a little out of my depth but..."

"But it's worth it because when you're with him you feel happy, warm, safe," Seonghwa finished gently. I bit my lip nervously but nodded.

"I care about him, I know I do. But what if that's just, I don't know, my imagination. I spent years hating him. How could that turn around so quickly," I said quietly.

"Oh Sannie," Seonghwa whispered softly as he shuffled closer and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"You've been wanting to talk about this haven't you," Seonghwa said. Truthfully I've been stressing about it since I talked to Hongjoong. I kissed Wooyoung on a whim but it was amazing and I couldn't stop myself from doing it again. We've had a great week but these feelings are kind scaring me and I've been wanting to talk to Seonghwa but there was no way I was going to betray Wooyoung's trust by telling him.

"Can someone really go from despising someone to loving them. Or well no, I wouldn't say love. I don't think I love him just yet but I care about him, a lot," I said slowly.

"And that's perfectly ok San. You don't go straight to loving someone, it takes time. You care for him right now. You know you like him romantically. You two get along really well when you aren't forcing hate on each other and he's a good looking guys, so there's some feelings there. That's how it usually go," Seonghwa assured me.

"He is very pretty," I muttered before I even realised and the other two chuckled.

"Do you want to talk about that too? What you like about him? We're more than happy to listen," Hongjoong said with a smile. I glanced between the two of them nervously. Truthfully, I've been wanting to tell Seonghwa so badly, about everything, but again, I never wanted to overstep with Wooyoung's boundaries.

"Are you sure," I asked quietly and Hongjoong nodded instantly. I glanced down at my hands that were wrapped around my knees and pictured Wooyoung in my mind.

"He's got a very pretty smile. You know how the corner of his eyes crinkle up when he has a real smile, it just makes him look even happier. Also have you noticed he has two moles, not one. The second one is on his lip, right here," I said pointing to my lip as I looked up.

"It's adorable. And it's fun to kiss, it always makes him giggle in this adorable-."

"I'm talking too much," I cut myself off quickly.

"No you're not, this is literally the cutest thing ever. And by the way no, we've never noticed that stuff. That's the type of stuff I notice about Seonghwa," Hongjoong said with a grin. I frowned and rolled my eyes.

"It's not that big of a deal," I said.

"Sa-."

"We're happy for you. You can end this conversation whenever you want cos we're nosy," Seonghwa said, cutting Hongjoong off. I let out a deep breath and nodded.

"I know," I said.

"So how did it happen," Seonghwa asked.

"What," I asked.

"How'd you two get together. Who made the first move? Wh-."

"Baby slow down. Every time your mouth opens, you end up rambling and overwhelming him," Seonghwa cut in softly. I was thankful to have Seonghwa there because even though I like Hongjoong, he pushes a lot.

"Sorry. Um, what happened that brought you two closer together," Hongjoong asked gently.

"It was after last quidditch match. I took my time getting ready after the match ended cos I was pissed off with the result. When I came out he was sitting in the locker room," I explained.

"Wait, he went into your locker room," Seonghwa asked.

"Yeah. Everyone had already left and he was waiting for me so he just decided to wait inside out of the rain," I replied.

"I mean fair enough but he could have gotten into trouble if he was caught. You two have been doing well to not get detention these past few months, it would've been a shame to break that streak," Seonghwa said.

"Well Juyeon went into his rooms to assault him, I'm sure Wooyoung could get away with just waiting for his friend," I said with a shrug.

"Right. Well what happened then," Hongjoong asked.

"He scared the shit out of me to be honest cos I didn't see him. I was still in a bad mood cos of the match so I didn't want to talk much. I know how Wooyoung is, he loves joking around and giving me shit for not being as good as him at Quidditch and I just wasn't in the mood for that," I said with a sigh.

"He hung shit on you," Seonghwa said with a wince.

"No, he didn't. He was really nice about it actually. He said he knew it was disappointing but I did amazing. He actually hyped me up, it was really sweet," I said with a chuckle.

"Ah, I can see where this is going," Hongjoong said with a chuckle and I rolled my eyes.

"We were mucking around for a bit and tripped over and we ended up on the floor. We were mucking around for a bit and I uh, I ended up pinning him down on the ground so he wouldn't be able to fight back-."

"Shit, this is so much better than our story," Seonghwa said, shuffling closer. I raised an eyebrow and glanced between the two of them who were watching me with rapt attention. It was a little odd but also really funny in a way.

"I kind of went with the spur of the moment and kissed him. I w-. You good," I asked as Hongjoong squealed. Seonghwa huffed and whacked Hongjoong in the back of the head.

"What? I'm sorry that I think this is absolutely adorable. I can't help it, it's making me want to coo and squeeze his cheeks," Hongjoong said with a frown.

"You're weird," I said, shaking my head.

"Come on, finish the story," Hongjoong said.

"There isn't much else to tell. We kissed, it was amazing so we kissed again and then again and then Wooyoung said we should take the day to think about things and figure out where we both were in terms of what we want. So that Sunday when we both stayed back from Hogsmede, we caught up and talked things through. He said he didn't want this ruined like last time with our friendship so we had to communicate properly. We both agreed we wanted a relationship and that we'll keep it to ourselves for a few weeks to settle in. Obviously we've got to keep it hidden from everyone else because his dad can't find out and I know Yunho is going to be pissed but I can deal with that," I said.

"That's very mature of Wooyoung, I'm glad you two talked properly. Especially because this is all going to be very new for you, you're not very experienced," Seonghwa said and I went red.

"Yeah thanks for blurting that out," I mumbled.

"Oh god Sannie, I didn't mean it like that. I just mean you've never had a boyfriend and probably haven't kissed many people, none that I know of. That's assuming you'd tell me something like that," Seonghwa said.

"I would but I never needed to cos you're right, I'm not very experienced," I said nervously.

"Does that worry you," Hongjoong asked.

"A little. I mean I know Wooyoung is good with this stuff and has definitely got more experience. I caught him making out with someone in a bathroom once," I said.

"If it helps ease your worry a little, he hasn't actually had a boyfriend before. So you're both navigating this together," Hongjoong said.

"Great, so we're both going to probably screw this up," I said with a groan, dropping my head into my hands.

"No you aren't. I personally think you two are going to be really good for each other," Hongjoong said softly.

"I hope so, I don't want to ruin it but I'm a screw up, i-."

"No you aren't. We'll end this conversation here ok. The bell will ring soon and I don't want you to start overthinking. Hongjoong and I are happy for you," Seonghwa said firmly.

"He is right, we're both more than happy for you," Hongjoong said, ruffling my hair. It's a relief to know Seonghwa supports me as he's my closest friend and I'm happy Hongjoong supports me as well. This might actually come in handy that they know as well.

"Can I ask you guys for a favour," I asked.

"Of course. What is it," Seonghwa asked.

"Tonight after the match, can you try to cover for Wooyoung and I. Obviously he'll have time to celebrate the win but we haven't been able to have a whole heap of alone time lately," I said slowly.

"We'll figure something out for you Sannie, promise," Hongjoong said with a nod.

"Thank you, I appreciate it. And please don't tell Wooyoung you two know, I want to be the one to tell him," I said.

"Of course. But make sure to tell him straight away ok," Seonghwa said and I nodded.

"I promise," I said just as the bell rang to signal the end of lunch.

"I'll see you guys at the game," I said as I got up to go to class.

~~~~~
I was heading down to the quidditch pitch after dinner to find good seats to watch. As I was walking through the hall that lead to the stands, my wrist was grabbed and I was tugged away. I chuckled and let myself be pushed into a closet near the end of the hall.
"Seriously, this is so cliché," I muttered as I crowded forwards, pinning him against the wall.
"Just shut up and kiss me," Wooyoung said as he wrapped his arms around my neck and tugged me down. I kissed him passionately, my hands slipping down to grip his waist and pin him to the wall.
"Are we seriously making out in a closet right now," I laughed as I pulled away after a minute.
"Why do you keep stopping. We hardly get any time alone, so if we have to kiss in a closet, then so be it. Though this one is familiar," Wooyoung said as he glanced around. I frowned and glanced around as well before chuckling.
"This is the storage closet I dragged you into when you were having a panic attack before the match against us," I said.
"Yeah. I was terrified to fly with you because I hurt you the last time," he said.
"It was an accident when you hurt me. I was being horrible as usual," I said, leaning down and pressing a delicate kiss to his forehead.
"Let's not thinking about this right now. I don't have very long until I need to go out," he said.
"Ok, ok," I chuckled.
"We don't need to kiss, I just wanna hold you," he whispered. I smiled softly and wrapped my arms around his waist, dropping my head onto his shoulder. Wooyoung let out a breath and tightened his hold around my neck, dropping his head down onto my shoulder.
"I love you," he whispered softly. My heart skipped a beat and I tightened my hold around him.
"Don't worry, you don't have to say it back, I just wanted to say it," he added quietly and I nodded. I turned my head in his shoulder and pressed a kiss to his neck softly. My eyes watered slightly and I blinked quickly to stop the tears from falling. Seonghwa tells me he loves me all the time but that's as a brother, as someone I have grown up with. Sure, Wooyoung implied and mentioned he loved me when we were talking about it but this was the first time he said it so directly.
"I need to tell you something Youngie," I said softly as I pulled back. Wooyoung eyes furrowed and I saw the worry in them.
"It's nothing bad. Or at least, I hope it isn't," I said slowly.
"What happened," he asked quickly.
"Seonghwa and Hongjoong know about us," I blurt out, not knowing any other way to word it.
"Oh," Wooyoung said quietly and I panicked. I didn't want to upset him.
"I'm sorry, I swear I didn't tell them. They were acting stupid during lunch and I realised they had figured it out. Seonghwa said he knew me too well and could tell from the look in my eyes that our relationship had changed or some shit like that. I had talked to Hongjoong before that day and asked him how he knew he loved Seonghwa, just to try and make sense of my feelings. He told Seonghwa and I guess that put him on high alert to figure out what's going on in my life," I said quickly and Wooyoung chuckled.
"Sannie, it's okay. First of all I believe you but second of all, I wouldn't be upset if you did tell them. I know you two are close and this is all new to you. If you needed to talk to someone, that's ok," Wooyoung said softly as he cupped my cheek softly.
"We agreed not to talk to anyone for a couple of weeks, I wouldn't go behind your back about that," I said quietly as I placed my hand over his.
"And I appreciate that. So what did they say," he asked as he leaned back against the wall. He grabbed my hips and tugged me forwards so we were pressed up against each other. There wasn't very far to move because it was a closet but I smiled softly.
"They're happy about it, both of them. Actually Hongjoong was so excited he kept going off on little tangents and Seonghwa had to keep stopping him," I said with a chuckle.
"I'm glad they were happy for you. I know Hongjoong would be super excited but I'm glad Seonghwa doesn't have a problem with it," Wooyoung said making me scoff.
"Hwa's basically adopted you Woo. You're like his first child," I said. It's true, Seonghwa definitely has a soft spot for Wooyoung. It might be after everything that Wooyoung's gone through but it's also probably because Wooyoung can be a sweetheart when he isn't being a douche and Seonghwa can be protective.
"That's a bit weird. If you're basically his brother and I'm his son, does that make you my uncle," he giggled and I rolled my eyes.
"Looks like we've got a Targaryen situation on our hands here. You're Daemon and I'm Rhaenyra," Wooyoung said and I snorted.
"You have been watching way too much of House of the Dragon Sweetheart," I said fondly. Wooyoung's breath hitched and he smiled softly.
"I like that name," he whispered.
"What? Sweetheart," I muttered as I rested my forehead against his and he nodded slightly.
"Well Sweetheart, Hongjoong and Seonghwa have agreed to cover for us later tonight after you celebrate your win so we can spend some time together," I whispered, nuzzling my nose against his lightly.
"Oh yeah? What makes you so sure we're going to win," he asked.
"Because you're good, really good and so is your team, I'll admit that. You'll knock it out of the park," I replied, pressing a brief kiss to his lips.
"In that case, I look forward to tonight. I'll play for you," he said.
"You going to try and beat my last match score," I asked him.
"Nah, we'll just see what happens. I'll just be happy having you there to cheer for me. I would ask you for to wear my scarf but on account of us needing to hide it, I can't," he said with a sigh.
"Give it to Yeosang. I'll sit with him and hold it in my lap," I said softly, making him look up quickly.
"You'd do that," he asked.
"Of course. You're my boyfriend and even if I can't show it publicly for a couple years, I want you to know that I support you," I said.
"God, have I told you I love you," he said, before kissing me gently.
"You have but it's nice to hear. Now I've taken up enough of your time already, you should probably get warming up," I said, pressing a kiss to the tip of his nose.
"Fine but I'll see you after the match. The boys spoilt our time earlier," he said.
"Go get em tiger," I whispered, pecking his lips one last time before opening the door and stepping out. I glanced down the hall to make sure no one was there before opening the door wider and letting Wooyoung step through.
"I'll see you later," he said.
"Good luck," I replied.
~~~~~

"Damn, they're going to clean sweep every team this year," Mingi said.

"Hey, I think that's a bit much. They're good but next time we come up against them, we'll win," I said with a frown. He wasn't wrong though, Gryffindor were beating Hufflepuff easily. Not as well as we were but their seeker is better than Hufflepuff's so when he get's the snitch, they're going have a much bigger margin.

"Dude you guys fumbled a 140 point lead last game," Jongho scoffed. I frowned in annoyance, clenching my hand around the scarf in my lap.

"I did not fumble that-."

"And yet you still lost," Jongho chuckled.

"Shut up Jongho and stop being a dick," Seonghwa said angrily.

"He's jus-."

"Stop, everyone. This is a touchy subject, you're just going to piss San off which will subsequently piss Seonghwa off so let's all just be quiet and watch the game," Hongjoong cut in quickly.

"Sorry, I was just having some banter, I didn't mean to upset you," Jongho said quietly, glancing past Yeosang to me. I just gave him a tight smile and a nod. I looked back out across the pitch to watch Wooyoung. He was playing well. He'd gotten five of their thirteen goals. I fought back a smile, trying to keep my face neutral as I watched. I've always watch him with this hatred inside me because he's good. He's good and I was telling myself I hated him so I was jealous. Now though, it was just nice to admire the way he was playing. He bumped into one of the Hufflepuff chasers, making them lose control a bit and he swooped up the quaffle. He was flying through the air before he suddenly pulled up and ducked, a bludger going over his head. I gasped in shock, my heart racing. I've played quidditch since I was a kid but I've never worried much about it.

"Hey, he's ok." I jumped in surprise as Seonghwa whispered in my ear.

"He's ok, so please stop crushing my hand," he added. I glanced down quickly to see that I had one hand tightly squeezing Seonghwa's that was sitting on his arm rest.

"Oh, sorry," I said guiltily as I pulled my hand from his.

"It's ok, you can hold my hand if you want, just don't cut off the circulation," he chuckled.

"Sorry, this is really stressful. Do you ever get this stressed watching me," I said quietly as I leaned closer to him.

"Yes, all the time. You have always stressed me out, especially since the incident with Wooyoung. Wooyoung was actually pretty stressed last game," Seonghwa said with a nod.

"Wait seriously? But that was before..." I trailed off.

"Yep, that was before," he said, patting my shoulder before turning back to the match. This time I couldn't stop the smile from slipping onto my face.
