Vansh and Riddhima shifted to their new house.It was small yet cozy.It had only one room for them as they could not afford much.Riddhima unpacked their things and started sorting them out.Vansh was helping her in cleaning the room which was full of dust.After cleaning the room and sorting out things, both became very tired.They had their dinner and drifted to deep slumber.

Days were passing with great difficulty. Vansh was working day and night to fulfill their needs.As a taxi driver,he earned very little.They were living hand to mouth.

In these days,Riddhima had been a constant support for Vansh.She never made him feel low.Many a times,there had been nothing to eat at home.But she never complained to Vansh about this.One day Vansh got to know that Riddhima was saving food for him by starving at lunch time.This made him agitated.

"Why? Riddhima!!! Why?Why are you doing this?It can affect your health.Why don't you understand that I have no one in this world except you?"

"Vansh!Calm down.Please,don't get angry.Ok!I'll not do this from now on."

"Sweetheart! You have to promise me that you'll not starve."

"I promise Vansh that I'll never do this."

Vansh took Riddhima to a bone crushing hug. Both were crying inconsolably. Many unspoken emotions were being expressed through their sobs.

"Stop crying like a baby Vansh! ", Riddhima spoke while breaking the hug.

" Even you are crying Sweetheart ",Vansh said while wiping her tears.

" Accha forget all this. Let's have our dinner.",said Riddhima.

"Yes! My sweetheart ",Vansh said while nodding like a baby.

Riddhima and Vansh sat down on the floor.Riddhima served the food and Vansh was looking at her lovingly. Riddhima fed him the first morsel of food and Vansh ate.Then Vansh fed Riddhima.

Suddenly tears rolled down the cheeks of Vansh.Riddhima got really afraid seeing him crying suddenly.

"What happened Vansh?Why are you crying like this?"

"I am sorry, Riddhima.Please forgive me.",said Vansh while sobbing.

"Why are you apologising to me?", asked Riddhima giving him a quizzical look.

"I have failed as a husband.I couldn't keep you happy.Today if we are in this condition,it's all because of me.I am the one who promised you a happy life.But see,
I am such a loser that I couldn't even keep you happy.", retorted Vansh.

" Who said that I am not happy?Who said that you are a loser?Who said that you have failed as a husband? Vansh! Marriage is not about losing or winning something. It's not a competition that one would win and others would lose.It's a beautiful and sacred relationship. It's all about standing by each other at the times of difficulty."

"I love you so much Sweetheart!"

"I love you too Vansh."

After having dinner,Vansh and Riddhima went to Marine drive to spend some quality time.Both were walking along the street having hand in hand.Riddhima rested her head on Vansh's shoulder and closed her eyes for some time. Cool breeze hit her face and the hair strands fell on her face. Vansh tucked the hair strands behind her ear.They stopped for a moment and stood face to face.

Vansh held her waist and pulled her closer to him. Riddhima put her one hand on his chest to get balance.He leaned his face towards her and Riddhima tip toed a bit.She closed her eyes in acceptance.Not wasting any more time, Vansh fused his lips with hers.It was a soft yet passionate kiss.They poured their love and affection through the kiss.

The street lights illuminated the place and evaded the darkness of night.The serene atmosphere brought tranquility in the raging hearts.Both of them were very exhausted though none of them expressed it.It seemed like the cool breeze and peaceful silence was mending their hearts and electrifying their souls.
