Zara stepped into the brightly painted, air conditioned room, with the smile still lingering from Zayn's antics on her face. She noticed a young woman siting behind a desk reading a book. Deciding that it was obvious she was the secretary, Zara walked towards her.

Noting the book the woman was reading, she made sure her smile was still on her face before clearing her throat to get the woman's attention. When the woman looked up she became short of words, but finally said, "Nice book, I really liked it. Though Maxon really pissed me off with his indecisiveness."

The woman dropped her book, but not before marking the page with a bookmark. She raised her eyebrow at me, "And you feel America wasn't as indecisive." She said waiting for me to say something back.

"True, but I feel Maxon should have at least taken charge at some point. Probably if he had said something, the indecisiveness wouldn't have dragged on as long as it did."

"I'm impressed. Most people would have backed off by now."

"I try not to be like most." I said, before laughing at my attempt at boldness. "I'm Zara Oputa, I'm supposed to come here to get my class schedule and other things."

"Oh yes, Zara, I was waiting for you. Though I expected you would be late, since you didn't know the way." She said gathering a file before pushing it towards me. "Here's your class schedule, school calendar, club pamphlet, excreta."

I flipped through the file, going through the papers while the secretary looked at me. I liked how my timetable was divided and the free periods I had. The school also had some great after school activities. I looked at cheerleading wistfully before closing the file.

"Thank you. But I'm not sure how to head to my homeroom class from here." I said.

"How silly of me, I was supposed to get someone from the welcoming committee to come and show you around." she said as she searched through her drawers for something. She raised her head with a book in her hand before reaching out for the intercom speaker on her desk.

She clicked the little button close on the intercom before saying, "Would Harry Styles please come to the office." She removed her finger from the button and said to me, "Well he should be here any minute now, why don't you sit down and wait."

"Thank Miss--." I trailed off realizing I didn't know her name and looked at her to complete it.

"It's Clarke, Nicole Clarke," she answered realising my problem.

"Thank you Miss Clarke." I said as I went towards a chair and sat down. "I better leave you to get back to your book." I said gesturing towards the said book.

She laughed but it seemed that she did what I said since she didn't reply. I looked up and saw that she was reading the book. I sat quietly for a while before I decided to bring out my phone and scroll through my Instagram feed.

The room was quiet except for the sound of Miss Clarke turning the pages of her book and sound of a notification alert on my phone. The state of quietness continued until the door was opened and closed and I looked up to see who had entered the room.

He was tall, for sure, my head wouldn't even reach his shoulders. Yes I'm that short. And I could see he had a thing for jewelry, with the necklaces and rings he had on. And when he smiled at Miss Clarke, I swear I got hypnotized by the dimple that showed up.

"Miss Clarke, my darling did you miss me?" He asked her, playfully grabbing her hands. Miss Clarke seemed to be used to his dramatic antics, so she only rolled her eyes and said, "Harry as the only member of the welcoming committee who hasn't actually welcomed someone, I've decided to make you take this one." She said gesturing towards me.

I stood up, walked towards them while slipping my phone in my bag. As I reached them, Harry turned and faced me, offering me a really wide smile with those green eyes twinkling. I swear I swooned a bit.

"Hi, I'm Zara, just moved from Nigeria." I said bringing out my hand for a shake.

Harry totally ignored my hand and pulled me for a hug. "Nigeria huh, home of the best jollof rice or is it Ghana."

"Lemme guess, you keep up with the twitter wars." I said, releasing myself from the warmth of his hug, happy that my skin was dark enough that my blush wouldn't show.

"It's hard not to. It trends for days, plus I want to know who actually has the best jollof rice."

Miss Clarke cleared her throat, which made us turn to face her. She was smiling and strangely winked at me. "Before you continue your very riveting discussion, you guys should know you're supposed to head for class." She said pointing towards the door.

"Calm down, we're going," Harry said to her before turning to me and asking, "Where are you supposed to be?"

Remembering my timetable, I said, "Homeroom with Mr. Bing."

That seemed to make Harry happy because he grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards the door saying, "Same here let's go."

Trying to keep up with his long strides, I turned and said, "Thanks again, Miss Clarke and I hope you enjoy the book." The last thing I heard before the door closed was her chuckling.

"Mind telling me why we are in such a rush? I know we are late but I'm pretty sure the teacher would let us in since we have a good reason for being late." I asked as we continued moving in a hurried fashion down the halls.

"Not hurrying cause of the teacher, its homeroom and its Mr. Bing." he replied.

"Then if the teacher isn't the case, can we slow down?"

"I don't want the bell to ring before we get a chance to talk. So come on we're also there."

I didn't answer as I saw his point and instead put my energy into following him as fast as I could. Finally we got in front of a door.

"We are here, are you ready?" he asked me.

I gathered myself and smiled at him, "Yeah, I'm ready."
