Angels and Demons (Part 1)

Tony is an angel.
Stephen is a demon.

Tony's PoV -

It's a lovely day in New York City. I fly high above the city avoiding crowds of admirers. Not only am I a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist, but I'm also an angel. Due to war and cross-breeding with humans, there aren't many angels left in the modern world meaning that when I walk the streets humans swarm around me to admire and touch my pure white wings. I prefer to keep my fans at arm's length so I take to the sky.

I'm enjoying my flight, looking down at the busy streets below. When I notice a chaotic scene. A swarm of angry people huddles around someone, kicking and hurting the injured person. I must intervene. I quickly fly down to the street below. I shew the mob away with a swoop of my strong wings sending the humans tumbling back or falling on the dirty alleyway floor. I protect the injured inside my large wings. A handsome man about my age lays bloodied and passed out in my arms. He sports sorcerer clothes and white streaks in his hair but most noticeable are his pure black, ungroomed, demon wings. The shouts of the human mob echo around me urging me to retreat from the demon but I can't. He's... stunning. I've never seen a demon before. Centuries ago my ancestors ridded the demons from the face of the Earth during a long war. Though the angels suffered strong casualties the demons suffered far worse. I thought they were all gone but here a demon lays dying in front of me. Something in me wants nothing more than to help him.

As gently as I can I lift the injured demon into my arms and fly us both away from the mob. His black blood stains my clothes and my wings. That will be hell to get out of my feathers but I can't worry about that now. I need to help him. I safely land at Stark tower. My fellow Avengers question me as I walk inside the commons room but I ignore their questions and take the hurt demon to my room. I lay the demon on my bed. His large untamed wings drape over my king-size bed. Woah, his wings might be even larger than my own. Beautiful.

I carefully wrap his wounds in special angel-made gauze. I position myself so that I sit on my knees next to him. I carefully hold my hands over the special gauze, close my eyes, and I start my healing song. I sing quietly in hopes that the other Avengers will not hear me. It's quite embarrassing. Finally, I end my song and open my eyes. I eye the demon and notice that he's awake. He looks much better. More alive. "Thank y-you," the demon quietly states still weak.

"You're welcome. I hope you feel better," I reply while taking the golden gauze off revealing perfectly healed wounds.

I look back up at the demon but he's already asleep. I sigh. I want to know more about him. Is he evil? What's his story? But that will have to wait. I leave my room, making a point to ask FRIDAY to alert me when he wakes.

Once I walk into the commons room I'm swarmed with questions.

"Was that a demon?"

"Yes," I reply.

"Why was he hurt?"

"A gang of humans attacked him."

"Is he evil?"

"I don't know, I don't think so..."

More questions follow me but I tune them out and retreat to my lab. I brew a cup of coffee and settle in for a night of work. At about 3 in the morning, FRIDAY alerts me of the demon's wake. I stand to go check on him when a ring of sparks forms in my lab. The demon steps through the apparent portal, "Hello, Tony Stark. My name's Doctor Strange."

"Woah, that's some serious magic there. Is that demon magic?" I ask.

Strange laughs at this, "No, actually demons don't have magic but I learned this through the mystic arts."

"Oh..." I don't know what to say. He's so damn gorgeous.

"May I ask why you saved my life?" The doctor asks.

"I don't know. It just didn't seem right to leave you there to be killed. Even if you are a demon." I reply.

"Well, thank you, Stark." Now, Strange seems at a loss for words. "I guess I should be going, maybe I will see you again sometime." The doctor begins to form a portal.

Before my brain can even comprehend, I speak, "No! Umm, you can stay here awhile or at least till you fully recover. There's plenty of room here."

"Thank you, Stark, but I don't want to impose besides I don't think the other Avengers would take too kindly to the likes of me."

"No, you're not imposing. I insist and who cares what the others think? This is my home and I can invite who I like to it." I think I convinced him, his portal fades away into mere sparks. "Besides, I need to teach you how to take better care of your wings. They're a mess, how can you even fly with those."

"I can't fly. I was never taught," Stephen awkwardly replies.

"I can teach you that too."

With that, I find Stephen a room across from my own.

I awake the next morning to yelling from the commons room. I hurry from my bed to the commotion, blasters set ready for battle. I find Steve with Stephen pinned against the wall. Steve's shield presses painfully against the doctor's neck. The other Avengers back Steve with arrows, daggers, etc, aimed at the demon. "Steve, what the fuck are you doing!" I yell at the captain.

"Just protecting you, Tony, we told this monster to get out but he lied and said you told him he could stay here."

I blast the bully of a super soldier in the chest, knocking him off Stephen. "I did tell him, he could stay. Besides, I can handle myself, Steve. Everyone, you are to treat Stephen as a member of the team he is my guest here."

With that, I take Stephen's hand and drag him to the elevator. I push floor number 56. "Thanks for saving me again," Stephen smiles.

I laugh, "Stephen, we have to quit meeting like this."

He smiles with perfect white teeth. Beautiful.

We step out onto the spa floor. "If you don't mind. I'm going to teach you how to properly groom your wings." I state.

     Stephen nods, "Thank you."

I lead Stephen to the hot mineral water bath. I carefully remove my shirt only now realizing I'm still in my pajamas. Only in my boxers I enter the hot water with a sigh of relief. "Join me!" I pat the spot next to me.

A cute pink blush crosses Stephen's face as he follows suit and removes his shirt as I had done. He carefully folds the material and sits it on a nearby chair, unlike the crumpled pile I threw my shirt in. Gently, Stephen eases himself into the hot water. "This is nice," Stephen sighs in relief.

Dark black loose feathers are already falling off the demon into the mineral water. "Come here, let me brush out your wings," I state and Stephen's face once again darkens into blush but he listens and sits in front of me.

I grab a brush from the small cabinet next to me and begin brushing out the loose feathers. Soon the water is covered in his gorgeous black feathers. I might have to sneak in here later and keep a few for myself. I push the thought aside for now and listen to Stephen's content sighs as I brush through his large wings. Once done with the brush I use a pick comb to fluff his feathers and remove the more stubborn dead feathers. I use my hands to prod at his wing's oil glands before combing the oil onto his wings making his already strikingly black feathers somehow even blacker and glossier. Finally, after several hours I finish his grooming. "Ah, that was nice, Stark." Stephen ruffles his wings in contentment.

"Call me, Tony, Stark is much too formal," I reply.

Stephen smiles at this, "Okay, Tony, may I groom you now?"

     "Really?" I ask.

"Yeah, that's how angels used to do it right? You're kind would spend hours helping each other groom."

"Yeah, but I've never really had another angel help me with that before," I reply.

"Well, would you let this demon be your first?" Stephen asks.

I eagerly nod before positioning myself so that I'm sitting in front of Stephen as he had done with me.

It's nice letting Stephen groom me. He gently guides the brush along my wings untangling all the feathers and getting the loose ones out. Soon the bath is full of my loose white feathers and his black ones. They swirl together in the water in a lovely dance. I can't help but let out a few moans. Stephen's hands gently clean my wings and preen me in just the right places. "Are your wings that sensitive?" I can practically hear the smirk in Stephen's voice.

"I don't have to let you do this. Besides I heard your sighs and whimpers when I was helping you," I sass back.

"Touché".

When Stephen finishes I relish stretching out my freshly cleaned wings. "You did great, they've never felt this nice before, thank you."

Stephen looks lost in thought as he watches me. "I hope you don't mind me saying this but you are absolutely beautiful, Tony."

I feel a blush creeping across my face. "Well, I think you're quite handsome yourself." I flirt back.

Like a magnet, I feel drawn to Stephen. I snuggle into him and place a gentle kiss on his lips. After a few moments, we break the kiss. Blush surely dusts both of our faces. I close the gap again for a deeper and longer kiss this time. When we finally break I lean against my lover and whisper, "I love you." Into his ear.

His reply comes soon after, "I love you too my angel."
