Tony

I took a deep breath as I turned on the modifications Bruce had sent me.

"You got this dad" Peter said who stood next to Bruce behind the screen.

"Thanks kiddo. I'll see you in....an hour?" I said questioning looking at Bruce.

"90 minutes" he corrected

"Oh....should be a piece of cake then.m" I said and walked towards the radioactive area.

Normally when there was a gamma experiment gone wrong Bruce would be sent in. But right now we needed data. Also general Ross still didn't trust the hulk even though Bruce had now full control of the big guy. So I was the one who had to go into the gamma prison to get all the leftover data. Thank god the prisoners are in a temporary prison somewhere else or this would really be a nightmare.

"The gamma shields are working Tony. You can continue inside the prison" Bruce said through the comms.

"Alright" I said and started flying towards the prison"

"Just warning that when you get inside the comms may get a little jammed since some of the prison safety protocols are still working" Bruce said.

"Okay" I said confirming that I heard him

Finally I managed to get to the prison. Bruce was right when he said that the comms might get a little jam. They immediately started making a buzzing sound. I just ignored it and continued inside. Since the whole place looked like a mess I didn't feel like exploring too much. Instead I headed straight towards the control room where I could get the surveillance cameras recordings so we could know why a gamma bomb suddenly went off.

After what felt like forever I finally found the control room.

"Bruce if you can hear me, I found the control room. I'm starting the download now" I said.

"Tha......ood Tony.....outside soon" Bruce said through the jammed comms.

I ignored it and started the download which went pretty quickly. Maybe I could see what kind of prisoners they were actually keeping here? I've got almost an entire hour left. So I turned on one of the computers and started hacking.

"Warning intruder alert! Warning Intruder alert!"

Oh uh.....that can't be good. I turned around only to see the 10 feet thick reinforced steel door close down and lock me in. Great. Using my repulsors is really gonna drain the suit's energy.

"Hey I've got a problem. I'm locked into the control room. I repeat I'm locked into the control room" I said in the comms.

Hopefully Bruce could do something from the outside.

"I can't....from the outside.....But.....Peter inside" Bruce said.

I frowned confused. He wasn't....he wasn't gonna send in Peter, was he? I mean besides the suit I was wearing, the only thing that could possibly survive in here long enough without becoming a monster or dying was maybe Bruce. Why was he staying behind?

"Bruce do not send in Peter! He can not be exposed to this much gamma radiation!" I yelled through the comms.

"On my....Stay ca....dad!" Peter's voice spoke.

My eyes widened in pure terror. This can't be happening. Peter can not come in. He's not....oh my god. Is he gonna die? No, I'm not gonna let that happen. I turned back to the closed door and sighed deeply. It doesn't matter if my armor would be half dead. This was my son it was about. I had to find him.

Peter

"Alright the oxygen mask and gamma suit seem to be fully operational. You can go inside the prison Peter" uncle Bruce said as I stood in the radioactive area testing the oxygen mask we had worked on.

"Alright do you have dad's last known location?" I asked as I started walking towards the prison.

"Yeah I'll send them to your A.I"

I cleared my throat.

"She has a name" I said.

"Like father like son" uncle Bruce sighed. "I'll send Karen the location"

I smirked as I got the location of dad. Soon I reached the prison and I remembered what uncle Bruce told dad before he went in. I'm basically on my own until I find dad.

Finally I had gotten through the door. It took forever but finally I could start searching for Peter. I tried contacting him or Bruce through the comms but they were now completely jammed. So instead I did the second best thing, I yelled for Peter. I kept flying around and calling for him, hoping that I had misunderstood and that Peter wasn't entering the prison. But my heart sunk as I heard a familiar voice respond.

"Dad!? Dad where are you!?" Peter's voice echoed.

I stopped and looked around for a bit. To my right a couple of feet away I could see a silhouette in the green smoke. That had to be Peter.

"Peter listen tell me exactly how long you've been...." I said but shut up when I got to him.

Peter was wearing a yellow suit and an oxygen mask with a tube going from the mask to a backpack. He was also wearing glasses and a hairnet.

"There you are! We were worried when you reached out. Uncle Bruce said that the data had to be monitored carefully so we'd know if the radiation suddenly started expanding so he....dad? Are you okay?" Peter said and waved his hand in front of my helmet.

The amount of relief that came flowing over me was undesirable. I stood there completely frozen for a couple of minutes, unable to talk. Until finally I just hugged Peter.

"Wait.....did you think I was gonna enter a highly radioactive area without at least an oxygen mask!?" Peter asked almost offended.

I couldn't even answer him. I was just so glad that he was okay and for once in his life thought things through before he did them.

"Don't....don't ever scare me like that again" I said.
