In retrospect, he should've listened. However he stopped paying attention to field trips right after the one where he got bitten by a radioactive spider.

So when the teacher started talking he zoned out, not really caring. When he got home he gave May his permission slip and then went patrolling.

The next day he turned in the paper. By the time the field trip arrived, Ned was practically buzzing with excitement. And Peter? Peter still didn't know where they were going.

It may seem impossible that he still hasn't figured it out but he has learned to just block everything unimportant out. It helps to do that when you have super sensitive hearing.

So the bus was was pulling into the mystery destination and Peter could hear Flash saying something a few seats behind him but since he had his earbuds in he didn't hear it fully.

As they got off the bus Peter suddenly regretted everything he has ever done. Of course the field trip would be here. It's just the type of luck he has.

Peter's head was spinning with different ideas to get out of S.I. His mind stumbled across the stupidest idea possible. So stupid that it might work.

So he took out the knife that Aunt Nat gave him for his birthday and proceeded to stab himself.

He then called out to his teacher.

"Uh Mr.Jones? Could I be excused?"

Heads whipped to look at him. Eyes staring at him in horror.

Betty then screamed.

"OH MY GOD PETER!"

It was total and utter chaos. He, MJ, and Ned just stood there. Flash stared at them with confusion written all over his face.

Peter decided he should speak up before it got even crazier.

"So am I excused?" He said in the most nonchalant voice he could muster.

Mr. Jones stared at him for a total of 5 minutes before running a hand down his face and sighing deeply.

"Sure Peter just be careful."

Peter nodded before turning around and heading up to Tony's lab where he hoped to find the billionaire.

His class just watched him leave in total utter shock.
