3rd Person POV
Peter and Tony were tinkering in the lab with
AC/DC blasting on the speakers. Everything thing was fine until Tony exclaimed "Hey Pete, why don't you pick the music today?" Peter hesitated. He knew that Mr. Stark probably thought he listened to pop music. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not his thing.
After a second or two, he pressed play on Spotify playlist. The first couple of songs weren't that bad. new school Panic! and some Twenty One Pilots. He sang along to everything and it was going great. That was until "I'm Not A Vampire" by Falling In Reverse came on.  It wasn't until a certain line that Tony's attention had shifted to the music.

And Whiskey seems to be holy water

'Not the worst thing he could be listening to' Tony reminded himself. The chorus soon came up:

I'm insane,well I can feel it in my bones, coursing  through my veins, when did I become so cold?
For goodness sake where is my self control?
If home is where the heart is then my heart has lost all hope.

Tony was shocked to say the least. He sincerely believed that the kid listened to Beyoncé and Katy Perry. Not stuff like this.
As the song progressed, the more Tony was reminded that he had A LOT to learn about his mentee. Peter tinkering on his webshooters, was completely unaware of  Tony's staring. Totally absorbed by the music and the task at hand.  

Hi my name is Ronnie.
I'm an addict. (Hi Ronnie!)
Daddy should have never raised me on Black Sabbath.

That line was what got Peter's attention. Despite it being one of his favorite lyrics, he had completely forgotten about it. His eyes met Tony's and they stared at each other for a whole minute until the silence was broken. "Uh-" Peter had started until Tony cut him off. "Kid, what was that?" He exclaimed. "Isn't that a little too dark for your personality?"
He did not expect the response he got. Peter snorted before replying"Mr. Stark, I've been listening to what is considered 'Emo' since middle. You get used to it."
Just as he finished his sentence, "You know what they do to guys like us in prison" by My Chemical
Romance came on. (I freaking love that song) He snapped his attention back to his webshooters leaving Tony stunned.
The day went on like that. Peter enjoying his music and Tony not believing that when Peter was smiling at the music blasting through his headphones, he was listening to Welcome To The Black Parade. He made sure to remember all of this.
