Enjoy this little update you all.

"Peter Benjamin Parker you get in here right this minute!" His aunt May calls from the bottom of the stairs. Peter groans and rolls over in bed, trying to summon enough energy to move. Maybe if he just stays in bed, May will eventually give up and leave him to sleep. He buries his face in his pillow, closing his eyes once again. "I mean it Peter. You have thirty seconds!!"

"But Whyyyyy?" Peter yells back, his voice somewhat muffled by the pillow.

"Because I said so."

"But it's only like..." Peter looks up enough to glance at the clock on his nightstand.

"Noon thirty-ish. And it's a Saturday."

"Exactly. Now get up or no Spiderman for a week." Peter sits up immediately, moving to fast and making him slightly dizzy.

"I'm up."

"Okay, you have five minutes to be ready and out of your room." May leaves, closing the door behind her. Peter gets ready as fast as he can, stumbling around his room. In his haste to get ready for the day, he manages to trip over one of his shoes that was stranded in the middle of the floor. He falls to the ground with a thud.

"Holy Avocados that hurt." He mumbles to himself before standing to his feet. He walks to the kitchen where his Aunt May is waiting for him.

"What was that noise?" May asks.

"I..uh..dropped my shirt."

"That sounded heavier than a shirt."

"I was in it." May leans back slightly as she laughs.

"You know, for a superhero you sure are clumsy." Peter just shrugs before opening the fridge, looking for anything to eat.

"What's for breakfast?" He asks.

"I was thinking we could go through the drive-through somewhere." She says.

"Where are we going?"

"Well, there's a carnival in town for a few weeks and this is the first Saturday I've had off work for a while. So I figured, why not." Peter's excitement doubles as he pulls his Aunt into a hug.

"Thanks Aunt May. Really."

"Anything for you."

"When do we leave?" May grabs her purse and keys off the counter before walking towards the front door.

"Now. So let's go."

********************

They arrive at the carnival 20 minutes later and move towards the line for tickets. Once they get to the ticket booth, May buys two all access bracelets instead of tickets so they can ride most of the rides.

She gives Peter his bracelet as they walk through the carnival admiring the lights, the music, and the happy feeling that's in the air.

"What are we gonna do first?" Peter asks.

"I'm not sure. Whatever you wanna do." They eventually decide to play a few games, Peter winning only one and picking out a stuffed Spiderman toy and giving it to his Aunt. "So you could only win one? I thought you could do better Pete."

"Well those games are all rigged, and you know it. They set you up to fail." Peter replies. After walking around for a little longer, the two decide to go for a ride on the Ferris Wheel. The line passes faster than expected and soon enough, they're sitting in their seat. The ride slowly starts moving, and once they're up high enough, May speaks.

"I want you to know that I'm proud of you Peter. I'm so proud of who you've become. And I know Ben would be too." She says.

"I hope so. I really hope so."

"I know so. Your parents and Ben are looking at you right now, thinking about how proud they are. Your like my son Peter, and I may not be the best parent but I must've done something right."

"You did everything right May." They get to the very top and the ride stops. They look at the view for a second before Peter gets an idea. "Hey May, guess what."

"Yeah?" Peter takes the opportunity to rock the seat back and forth, swinging the duo.

"Peter Parker, stop that!" May exclaims, gripping onto the metal bar in front of her. "I mean it." This sends Peter into a fit of laughter, causing the seat to move even more.

"Come on May, it's fun!" Peter replies. May looks at him, thinking back to when he was just a child. He would always look so innocent and sweet when he laughed, and that's exactly how he looks in that moment. Like he's a kid again.

For the first time since his Uncle's death, Peter doesn't look like he's carrying the world on his shoulders. Peter could say the same about his Aunt. She looks happy, and he couldn't ask for anything better. Peter stops moving the seat as they make their way back to solid ground. As they walk away from the ride, Peter spots a familiar curly haired girl in the crowd.

"Hey look, it's MJ." Peter says, nudging his Aunt to get her attention. "Let's go say hi." They make they're way over to the teen, who is walking away from one of the concession stands and eating the cotton Candy she just bought.

"Hey MJ!" She looks up from the snack in her hand to look for the voice in the crowd. A second later, she spots Peter walking with his Aunt. She walks closer to the two, meeting them in a less crowded area.

"Hey Loser. What's going on?" Mj asks, tearing off and eating another peice of cotton candy.

"Nothing much. I thought maybe I'd finally introduce you to my Aunt. MJ, this is my Aunt May. May, this is MJ." Peter motions between the two and watches as they shake hands.

"It's nice to meet you ma'am." MJ replies.

"So you're the famous MJ. Peter talks about you a lot. Honestly I think that he might like you more than he let's on." MJ glances over at Peter, and of he didn't know better he's think she was blushing.

However, it doesn't take a genius to notice the red in Peter's face.

"Okay, I think that's enough. What's next Aunt May?"

Peter asks, trying to walk away before he embarrasses himself even more.

"Now Peter, don't be rude." She pulls Peter back over to face MJ. "I have an idea. Why don't you and MJ hang out for a bit while I take a break and grab a bite to eat?"

"I-I guess we could, if that's okay with you MJ." Peter stutters, running his hand through his hair.

"Sure. That sounds fun." May claps her hands together before speaking to the two teens.

"Perfect. I'll meet you back here in about an hour. Have fun and be safe." With that she's gone, moving through the crowds.

"So what first, Loser?" MJ asks, a small smile on her face. MJ smiled at him!The thought alone makes Peter's heart skip. "And don't say the Feris Wheel. That is extremely Cliche." Peter laughs.

"Okay, not the Ferris Wheel. Let's play a few games." MJ nods in agreement and they head over to the ring toss. After Peter's second try, MJ's laughing as Peter's frustration grows.

"Okay, this time. This time for sure." On his final attempt, he wins something and tells MJ to pick what she wants.

MJ looks at a selection of small items spread across a table. She's allowed to take two, so she chooses a bookmark and a simple bracelet. It's cheaply made, but she takes it anyway.

"Okay, now for the rides. What first?" MJ asks.

"Let's ride the Shooting Star." Peter replies. The Shooting Star is a ride that towers around 75 feet. Once strapped into the seats the seats rise up the top of the tower. After you reach the top, it drops and you fall, only to stop a few feet from the bottom.

"Yup. Let's do it." They get in line and moments later, it's their turn. The man at the front shows them their seats and how to make sure everything is secure. Once everyone is seated, the ride begins to move.

They ascend slowly at first, the contraption creaking the entire time. Peter feels an adrenaline rush as the ground gets farther and farther away.

But something else is there...His Spider-Sense is acting up.

He almost dismisses it as nerves from being so high up, until they're almost to the top. Suddenly, the ride stops. A loud click sounds, followed by a pop. Their row of seats shift a little, leaning forwards.

Peter's stomach turns as he looks over at MJ, who is trying to hide the fear in her eyes.

"W-We're fine Peter." She says, more to herself than to the boy next to her. Before Peter can respond another loud pop sounds, and one side on their row of seats drops down. Their seats now fall vertically, swinging slightly.

"PETER!" MJ yells, nearly falling from her seat. She doesn't bother hiding her fear as she looks at the ground below. Peter can feel his web shooters attatched to his wrist, and he does the only thing he can think of. He undoes the strap keeping him in the seat. He stands and jumps up, grabbing on to one of the beams on the tower. As he jumps, the other end of the seat comes loose and it starts is fall to the ground.

Peter shoots a web, attatching it to the back of the seats, stopping it from falling. Peter holds the beam on the tower with one hand, and the web holding everyone on the other.

This was heavier than the elevator in DC, and Peter can feel his shoulders aching, and he isn't sure how long he can hold on.

What am I gonna do?! Peter thinks to himself. Sudden;y he gets an Idea. It's not gonna be easy, but it's all he's got.

After he takes a breath to prepare himself, he begins to pull up on the web. He pulls up until his shoulders pop and his arms feel like they're about to give.

"Come on Pete. Come on." He mumbles to himself. "Just a little farther."

Once it's up far enough, he attaches the web to the beam he's holding, temporarily securing it to the tower. After adding a few more webs to hold it in place, he gently drops back down to the seat next to MJ.

"Nice work Bug Boy." MJ says, her breathing uneven and the fear still in her voice. "Now can you get me off of this thing?"

He nods and grabs MJ before climbing down the tower. When the both land on the ground, Peter immediately sits down in the grass, watching as people are brought back down to safety. That was exhausting. His entire body is aching as MJ sits next to him.

She leans in all at once, pressing her lips to his. Peter only hesitates a moment before returning the kiss, putting all his relief and affection into one simple kiss.

She moves away, and when Peter opens his eyes he understands why. A crowd has surrounded them now, and he can hear the whispers amongst them.

"It's the SpiderMan!"

"But He's just a kid!"

He looks up at MJ with his innocent brown eyes.

"Oops. Guess the cat's out of the bag." He whispers. Before she can respond, they hear the tell-tell signs of the IronMan suit, and the sound of his Aunts worried voice.

"Peter Benjamin Parker, you better not be dead. If you're dead, I'll kill you all over again." His Aunt May sees him as he sits up and basically tackles him in a
hug. "Never do that again."

"I won't. I promise." May looks at him, with an almost guilty expression.

"Sooo...I kinda made a phone call." She says. As if planned, The IronMan suit drops in behind her. The Suit opens up to reveal Tony Stark, still in a business suit. He had been in a meeting when he got the call, saying that his son- or..uh...Peter, was in trouble. He had dashed out of the meeting, ignoring the questioning looks of his co-workers.

"Hey kid, you okay?"

"I'm fine Mr. Stark. But we have a problem."

"What is it? Are you hurt?"

"No, but now everyone knows. Spiderman has been revealed."

"Oh, that's easy to fix." He motions for Peter, MJ, and May to follow him as he sends his IronMan suit back to the tower with the press of a button. "Let's go to the compound for the weekend."

"W-wait, how are we gonna fix this?" Tony puts on his sunglasses before replying and pulling out his phone.

"I have...Connections."

If you commented and I didn't mention you let me know and I'll fix it.

(Edit (2024): The fact that when I initially wrote this, I could thank people individually for their comments is mind blowing. This book is almost six years old, and even though I can't do that now, I thank you all for interacting with my story. I thank each and every one of you for your comments. I love you all so much. Your comments make me laugh, smile, and sometimes cry. Even though the writing isn't top notch right now, if you see this book through, the writing does get better. You get to see years worth of practice over the course of this book, which I suppose was the purpose of it. It's still not perfect by the end, because it's still just practice. My writing will never be perfect, but there's some undeniable improvement along the way. Seeing my own evolution as a writer is an odd experience, and I just hope you all stick around long enough to see it for yourselves.

I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Love, Nat)
