Another Field Trip...

Aaaaand here's another one. Hope ya like it. It isn't the best but oh well. Sorry it took so long. I'm taking advanced English and its keeping me busy.

______________________________

Only Peter Parker’s luck was this terrible. How he managed to deal with it on a daily basis was unknown, but he did. But today was on a whole new level. This was worse than the time he was dropped in a lake. Because at the end of the day, he found out that he Chemistry class was going on a field trip to…

STARK TOWER!!

The permission slip felt heavy in his hands as he made his way home. Maybe he could get Pepper to sign it. After Tony had come to Peter about Spider-Man, he instantly grew attatched to the young Spider.

Their relationship only grew from there, and Every since May’s passing two years before, He’s been living at the tower with Tony and Pepper. They had adopted the teen when they found out what happened, and Peter went from Tony’s intern to Tony’s son.

And not only is he now Peter Stark, (He’s still known as Peter Parker by his peers) but his family is the Avengers. And his entire class his taking a field trip to his house. It just couldn’t get any worse. He leaves the classroom with his best friend walking next to him.

“So what are you gonna do?” Ned asks him.

“I don’t know dude. I can’t let the team know about it or they’ll embarrass me for sure. And then there’s the other interns. I don’t know!” Peter starts to freak out more by the second.

“Well first I think you should calm down. A sensory overload would not be good right now, and you know they happen when you panic.”

Peter just nods as he tries to calm himself down.

“You’re right.” Peter feels his phone chime in his pocket and he pulls it out to find a text from Happy.

If you’re not out here in the next thirty seconds, you’re walking home.

“Who was it?” Ned asks.

“That was Happy. I gotta go. Are you coming over this weekend for movie night?”

“Of course dude. You know what, you should invite MJ.” A blush covers Peter’s face as he thinks about the sarcastic and intelligent
girl. He’s had a crush on her for a while, but of course he would never admit it. The only person who knew was Ned.

10 seconds kid…

“You know what Ned, I have to go. I’ll see you later.”

“Later Peter.” The two seperate and Peter makes his way over to the waiting vehicle. The drivers side window comes down to reveal a very annoyed looking driver.

“Hey Happy.” Peter says as he climbs into the back seat.

“Hey kid.” The conversation stops there and Peter leans against the window, watching the world move by as they drive to the tower. It only takes a few seconds for the teen to fall asleep.

It was later at dinner when everyone noticed the unusually quiet teen. He would normally be ranting about his day as Spider-Man or some Lego set he and Ned were gonna build. But he was completely quiet, pushing his food around on his plate.

“So, Peter. How was school today?” Steve asks from across the table.

“It was alright I guess. Kinda boring though.”

“How about Ned? What’s he been up to?” Bruce asks.

“Um… nothing much. He’ll be over for movie night on Saturday.”

“And MJ?” Natasha asks with a knowing look. No one misses the blush on the teens face at the mention of the girl.

“She’s fine.” Peter looks around before turning to Tony. “Dad, can I be excused?”

“Yeah, of course kid. You feeling okay?”

“Yeah. Just tired I guess. I’ll see you all later.” Peter clears his plate and puts it in the sink before moving to his room. He sits on his bed and starts studying for a Chemistry exam coming up.

It’s about 15 minutes when he hears a gentle knock on his bedroom door.

“Come in.” He says, not taking his eyes off the page. The door opens and in walks Pepper Stark, a concerned look on her face. Peter finally looks up and relaxes a little when he sees who it is.

“Hey mom.”

“Hey Pete. Can I sit?” She motions to a place on the bed, next to Peter. He nods and moves over, making room for her to sit down.

“So what’s bothering you? You know they were just picking on you about MJ earlier.”

“No, it isn’t that. Well I mean I guess that may be part of it, but that’s not really it. I don’t know. I’m just stressed out I guess.”

“Why?” Pepper asks softly.

“Well, my class is going on a field trip this Friday. You need to sign the permission slip for me to go, but…”

“What?”

“We’re coming here for the field trip. We’re touring the tower.” Pepper just looks at the boy in shock for a moment before laughing quietly.

“Only you, Peter. So I’m guessing you’re afraid the team will embarrass you?” Peter just nods as he looks down at the Chemistry Textbook in his hands. “I’ll try my best to keep them under control. But that’s all I can promise.”

“Thanks.” He pulls the permission slip from his bag and hands it to her with a pen. She takes it and reads over it before signing her name at the bottom.

“Here ya go. And it says you have to bring lunch, don’t worry about it. Steve is making Pizza for lunch tomorrow, and you and Ned can just come up to the house.”

“Thanks. And please don’t tell Dad?”

“You have my word. Now let’s go. Everyone is gonna play a round of Uno, so this should be fun.” Peter laughs before giving his mother a grateful hug. Once she leaves he puts away his textbooks before joining the team for the card game, feeling better about the soon to be disaster in the near future..

( ^ w ^ ) Gerard has given you a time skip to Friday, so here ya gooooo

Friday had arrived all to soon, and Peter was hating every minute. Ned and his mother had picked Peter up from the tower to take him to school so Happy wouldn’t have to make the trip. They had been the last two to arrive and after saying goodbye to Mrs. Leeds, they moved to board the bus.

Their Chemistry teacher Ms. Warren was waiting for them both, a stack of signed permission slips in her hand. Ned is the first to get there, and he turns in his slip before boarding the bus. Peter hands Ms. Warren his slip and is about to follow his best friend, when she stops him.

“Mr. Parker?”

“Yes Ma’am?”

“Why does this say ‘Pepper Stark’?”

“Uh...Well...ya see…”

“Nevermind Parker. We can discuss this later. But these lies just landed you a front row seat in detention.” Peter sighs in defeat and climbs aboard the bus before sitting next to his best friend. MJ sits in the seat in front of them, her nose in a book.

“What was that about?” Ned asks as the bus starts moving.

“I got detention. She thought I faked mom’s signature on the permission slip.” Of course Ned knew about all of it, and Peter was pretty sure MJ had figured most of it out.

“Well maybe you could get Pepper to explain things? Get you out of detention.”

“No, it’s fine. But Uncle Steve isn’t gonna be to happy about it.”

Before Ned can respond, a certain Bully moves to the seat behind him. As Flash sits down, he hits Peter in the back of the head before beginning his usual taunts.

“Hey Parker. Heard you landed yourself in detention. What was that about?”

“Leave him alone Flash." Ned steps in.

“Shut up Fatty, I wasn’t talking to you.” Flash retorts before turning back to Peter. “Did Ms. Warren call you out on your lies? I wonder what Tony Stark will say when he figures out you’ve been lying about him.”

“Flash, I said leave him alone.” Ned repeats.

“And I said I wasn’t talking to you!” Flash says, shoving Ned from his seat. Ned stumbles and would’ve hit the floor had Peter not caught him.

“Hey Flash, cut it out!” Peter says. “Bully me all you want, but leave Ned alone.”

“All three of you are losers, now sit down Flash before I come over there and beat you with my book.” MJ says, without looking up from her book. The three look to her in surprise. Flash just mumbles a ‘whatever’ before moving back to his seat.

“T-Thanks MJ.” Peter stutters, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “Y-You didn’t have to do that.”

“Yeah I did Parker. He was getting on my nerves, and I don’t like people bullying my friends.” Peter just smiles at her, happiness radiating off him. Friends was one step closer than he was before.

“Yeah.” Ned elbows Peter in the side before giving him a knowing look. Peter responds with a glare and quickly changes the topic.

They talk about Star Wars and Legos for a while when the bus comes to a stop. Peter looks out the window to see Stark Tower standing before him. The rest of his class sit with their faces pressed to the glass, trying to get a glimse of the tower. Even MJ puts her book away to get a look. Peter and Ned just Smile, seeing as they’ve both been here.

Peter lives here and Ned is over almost every weekend, so they’re both used to it.

“Alright everyone. You remember the rules! We represent Midtown, and I want you all on your best behavior. Especially you Mr. Parker.” Ms. Warren announces. Peter tries to ignore the stares sent his way as they all file off the bus one by one. A few minutes later, they’re all standing in front of the glass doorway.

Ms. Warren is the first one to step inside, the students following in behind her. They move up to main area where a tour guide is waiting. It takes them forever to get there, because everyone is gawking at the architecture.

Everything is Modern and clean, and definitely expensive. When they (finally) make it to they're tour guide, Peter looks up to see which intern it is. Their guide for the day is a girl by the name of America, one of the first interns Peter met.

Her red hair is tied up in a pony tail, and she waits with a basket of guest passes. The class gathers in a group while Ms. Singer begins her introduction.

“Hey guys! I’m your tour guide for Today. I’m Ms. Singer, and it’s great to meet you. First we need to give you your security badges and then we can be on our way.”

America moves through the group, handing out guest passes. She skips Peter and Ned and moves back to the front. Of course, Flash had to speak.

“Excuse me, Ms. Singer, Peter and Ned didn’t get badges.”

“What?” She looks around before spotting Peter and Ned in the back of the group. “Oh hey guys.”

“Hey Mer.” Peter responds with a wave. Ned does the same and America continues with her explaination.

“Well, Peter doesn’t need a badge because he’s already in the system. And Ned has a badge of his own. Ned, do you have it with you?” Ned pulls his badge out of his pocket and holds it up for her to see. The badge is red and blue and it simply says ‘the kid’s friend’ on the front. It has access to almost everywhere as long as Peter is with him. And it allows him to use the elevators and such for when he works with Peter and the other interns.

“Alright then.” America says. “Let’s continue.” They move toward the security check where each Student will step through and scan their badge. America steps through first, and FRIDAY’s voice rings through the speakers.

“America Singer. Level 5 clearance. Welcome back Ms. Singer.” Ms. Warren follows in behind her, scanning her guest badge. FRIDAY’s voice is heard once again.

“Guest. Level 1 Clearance. Welcome guest.” The rest of the class does the same, each of them looking around in awe at the sound of an AI. Finally it’s down to Peter and Ned, and Ned decides to go first.

He swipes his badge and goes through. What FRIDAY says leaves them all looking at him in surprise.

“Ned Leeds. Level 5 Clearance. Welcome back Ned, shall I tell Dr.
Banner that you’ve arrived?”

“No thanks FRIDAY.” Peter takes a deep breath and walks through, not having to bother with a badge. When he steps through he expects to hear FRIDAY’s usual greeting. Instead he hears something different.

“Hall Moniter Protocol activated. Calling Tony Stark…” Peter begins to panic. He forgot about the Hall Moniter Protocol. It was supposed to call Tony when Peter showed up during school hours, making sure Peter didn’t skip school to go to the lab. (He’s done it before…)

“No, FRIDAY. End Call.” He says frantically. A second later, Tony’s voice sounds through the speakers.

“Peter? Why aren’t you in school?”

“Well, ya see, I’ m on a field trip.” Peter mumbles. The sound of something falling is heard and Tony speaks again.

“No, DUM-E, stop it. Put that down before you break it. What were you saying Pete? I couldn’t hear you.” Peter looks at his class that stands in front of him. All of them except for Ned, America, and MJ look shocked and confused all at the same time.

“I’m on a Fieldtrip Mr. Stark.” Peter says, louder this time.

“Mr. Stark? What happened to da-”

“FRIDAY, End Call!” Peter says frantically. There’s a click as the call disconnects and Peter moves to catch up with his class. They all would continue to stare at him, but eventually America recaptures their attention.

“Alright guys. Moving on. First we’re going to visit with some scientists on the lower floors. They work in the biology labs, and if
we’re lucky we may run into Dr. Banner.”

They begin the trip to the first Biology labs, and Flash falls to the back of the group. He stops beside Peter before giving him a little shove.

“So how’d you do it. There’s no way that was Tony Stark. So I wanna know, how did you do it.”

“I told you that I intern here Flash. Now leave me alone.” Peter moves ahead to catch up with his friend, attempting to escape the bully. Before Flash can bother him again, they arrive at the Lab, and America was right. Parker Luck strikes again. Because standing in front of them is none other than Bruce Banner, talking to another group of scientists.

“Dr. Banner!” America calls. The doctor turns around to see the group of students behind her. “We’re sorry to interruppt. But thisgroup is on a tour and I’m sure they’d love to hear about what
you’re working on.”

“Well hello Ms. Singer. Hey kids.” Bruce says with a shy wave. “It’s nice to have you here. So here in the BioLabs…” Bruce continues
with a presentation Peter’s heard a million times. He’s even given it to tour groups before when Bruce had been busy. He’s about to completely zone out when Ms. Warren’s voice rings through the group.

“Mr. Parker! Pay attention. That’s two detentions, don’t get a third.”

“Parker?”Bruce asks in confusion. He looks around before finding Peter in the back. “Oh hey Pete.”

“Hey Uncle Bruce.” Peter replies quietly.

“Field Trip?” Peter nods and Bruce chuckles a little. “Did FRIDAY activate the hall monitor Proticol?”

“Yeah, so now da- uh, Mr. Stark, knows I’m here.”

“Okay, well good luck Pete. Because your gonna need it. And what’s this I hear about detention?”

“I… uh…”

“You know what, it’s fine. Just don’t let Steve find out.” Peter just nods and focuses on the tiled floor beneath him. And then once again, here comes Flash the Idiot.

“Wait a minute? You mean to tell me that you actually know, and care about, Parker?” Flash asks.

“Of course, Mr….”

“Thomson. Flash Thomson.”

“Well Mr. Thomson, Peter here is a very bright young man. And I care for him very much, he’s practically family.” Flash instantly
becomes quiet and after thanking Bruce for his time, America announces the next part of their tour.

“Next, The R&D labs.” She says as they move towards the elevator. They arrive a few seconds later, and move towards one of the more secluded labs. Peter immediately relaxes, thankful that they won't be running into any more Avengers.

As they enter the lab, he feels relieved that he won't be embarrassed. That is, until he hears Panic! at the Disco playing at full volume. Ned nudges Peter’s shoulder before saying…

“Is that who I think it is?” Peter just shrugs his shoulders as they follow America into the lab. When Peter walks in, he finds that his suspicions were correct. Because sitting at the work table is the princess of Wakanda herself. Peter’s greeting is automatic, and he doesn't think twice before grabbing a peice of scrap paper off a desk and crumbles it into a ball. He shouts 'YEET' as he throws the paper ball at her head.

"Oof." Is all she says. After a pause she continues speaking. “Hey Peter, it’s about time you got here. I’ve been working on something for your suit. I added some upgrades-”

“Thanks, but I’m… uh…” Peter interrupts. He clears his throat and Shuri looks up from her project to see the group of teens. “I’m with my class.”

“Oh. Hey Ned.” Is all she says as she spots her other favorite teen. She stands and walks over to the students. “Hello everyone. I’m Princess Shuri, it’s nice to meet you.”

The class stands there in awe, not exactly sure what to say. Two of the biggest nerds in school, know royalty. They all continue to stare as they listen in on the conversation.

“So Ned, you coming over for Movie night?” The princess asks.

“Yeah. What’re we watching?”

“I think we were gonna watch White Chicks.” The three continue their conversation as the class looks to them in awe. It’s a few minutes later when America calls them all to attention.

“Okay guys, we have to go now. You guys are going to go to Lunch in the visitor's lounge. Follow me..” She leads them from the room and into the visitor’s lounge for their break. Peter goes to the front to speak to Ms. Warren, ready to go up to the penthouse for lunch as planned.

“Um, Ms. Warren?” Peter asks unsurely.

“What is it Mr. Parker?”

“I was supposed to go somewhere else for lunch,” Peter pauses as he thinks of what to say. “My… boss, he wanted me to have lunch and discuss a few things. Could I maybe-”

“Mr. Parker, enough of this. You will not leave the group and you will stop these lies. That’s another detention, and if I hear one more word you’ll be sent back to the bus. Now join your class.”

Peter stares at her in shock. How could she still not believe him? Both his Uncle Bruce and Shuri had recognized him. His shoulders drop in disappointment as he nods and makes his way back to Ned and MJ. He sits down next to his best friend, feeling both stressed and tired. But more than that, he’s getting hungry.

They're sitting in a more secluded area of the visitor’s lounge, Ned working on eating his Peanut Butter sandwich while MJ snacks on an apple.

“What was that about?” Ned asks before taking another bite from his sandwich.

“Mom wanted me to have lunch with her today, but Ms. Warren won’t let me go. And she gave me another detention.”

“Another one? That’s not fair.”

“Tell me about it. Uncle Steve is gonna kill me when he finds out.”

“When I find out what?” A deep voice rings from behind Peter. The teen freezes as he notices the entire room has gone silent. Peter turns slowly to see the super soldier standing there, a confused look on his face and a pizza box in his hands.

“H-Hey U-Uncle Steve…” Peter stutters. He looks around at his fellow classmates, who look as if they’ve gone into shock for the third time that day. Ms. Warren is the only one not paying any mind as she talks to America about their next stop.

“Hey Pete.” The Avenger replies. “What were you talking about? What am I gonna find out?” Just as Peter goes to respond, his stomach growls loudly. Steve sits the Pizza in front of the teen before taking the seat across from him. Peter opens the box and grabs a slice of the cheese Pizza, devouring the entire peice in less than a minute.

“Thanks Uncle Steve.”

“No problem Peter. So now, explain.” Peter sighs and grabs another slice as he begins to explain the detentions and how his teacher didn’t believe him. The captain just looks at him, listening the entire time. He doesn’t say anything until Peter’s finished.

“So she thinks you’re lying?” Peter nods, starting on his 4th slice of pizza.

“Yeah. By the way, how did you know you needed to bring me lunch?”

“Well Pepper figured that something was up since you didn’t come up for lunch like you were supposed to. So I came down to you.”

Peter nods and says thanks again as Steve stands to his feet. “Well Pete, I’m going to go talk to your teacher. Maybe I can straighten things out.”

Peter watches as his uncle approaches Ms. Warren, and thanks to his enhanced hearing he can hear the entire conversation.

“Excuse me, Ms. Warren?” His teacher turns around to see the tall hero standing behind her.

“Y-Yes, Mr. Rogers sir?” She asks, slightly in disbelief. It's amazing how she hadn’t noticed him before. “I just heard that you’ve given Peter Sta- uh, Parker detention. Can I ask what for?”

“Well, you see, Mr. Parker has claimed to everyone that he knows Tony Stark. His lies have gone on long enough, so he has landed himself in detention.”

“But I know Peter, surely that’s enough proof.”

“Mr. Parker never said anything about captain America. And until I hear definitive proof of him knowing Tony Stark, his detention stays. Good day Mr. Rogers.” Steve gives a respectful nod to the teacher before looking back to Peter.

Peter’s seen that look before. It’s a look that says, Don’t worry. I’ll fix it. Usually this would comfort Peter, but right now it does the complete opposite. He can feel the stress building more by the minute, and the teen doesn’t need Spidey-Sense to know this won’t end well.

After lunch, The group was supposed to visit the Avengers training rooms. Peter is walking along side America, keeping light conversation as she leads the group. Suddenly their talk is interrupted when her phone chimes in her pocket. She takes it out and looks at the screen, a look of confusion covering her features.

“What’s wrong Mer?” Peter asks.

“Nothing, it’s just  there’s been a change of plans. I’ll just tell you along with the rest of the group.” America stops and turns to face the others, calling them all to attention.

“Alright everyone, there’s been a change of plans. Mrs. Stark has just informed me that Peter is to lead your tour from here, and you are all to report to a conference room for a Q&A. You’ll be in capable hands I’m sure.” America pulls Peter to the side for a second.

“Peter, do you know what this is about?”

“No.” Peter lied. He knew, it was actually pretty obvious. “What are you going to do?”

“Well, Mrs. Stark just gave me the rest of the day off and I had plans to have dinner with someone tonight.” Peter smiles at the
thought. He knew who it was because he had helped set it up. A friend of his, Maxon, from the R&D labs had come to him asking about America and what he should do. Peter helped him plan and gave him the best advice he could.

If only I could follow my own advice. Peter thinks to himself as he glances over at MJ.

“Okay Mer, have fun. I got this.” America gives a grateful smile before heading off. Peter turns to face the rest of the group.

“Okay guys, if you’ll just follow me-”

“Why would we follow you Parker?” Flash asks, malice in his voice.

“Because, as of this moment I am your tour guide. Now we need to report to the conference room, so lets go.” Peter turns on his heel
and doesn’t even check to see if their following. A few seconds later he can hear their hesitant footsteps falling in behind him.

They reach the conference room in record time, and Peter opens the door allowing everyone inside.

“Just pick a seat.” The entire class files inside and takes their place, Peter taking a seat in the very back next to Ned and MJ. The entire room is awkwardly silent as they wait. Peter isn’t sure how much longer he can stand it, when someone else enters the room.

Peter doesn’t have to look to know who it is, but he looks anyway. At the front of the room, stands Earth’s mightiest heroes. All in full uniform. And it isn’t just them. Loki stands off to the side, and Scott Lang is among the group. In the front stands Tony Stark, dressed in a business suit with his signature sunglasses.

“Hello everyone!” The billionaire says, clapping his hands together. “I’ve been kind enough to invite you here for a Q&A with these heroes, so lets hear it.”

Everyones hands immediately go up, but the first one picked is Flash.

“You in the front.” Steve says, pointing to the bully.

“I wanted to know if SI offered internships to high school level Students.”

“I’m afraid we don’t, but-”

“I KNEW IT! PUNY PARKER WAS LYING!” Flash shouts. He practically jumps over the seats to get to Peter, who is sitting frozen. When Flash reaches him, he grabs Peter by the front of his shirt. “I knew it Parker. And you won’t lie to me again.”

Flash swings his fist back and takes a swing at Peter. Peter drops to the ground with a thud, hand over his now bruised eye. But his only thought is that Flash is the stupidest person who ever lived. And he’s met a lot of stupid people.

Peter looks up at Flash who’s about to give another hit, when Peter hears a thud. The bully drops to the ground next, holding the back of his head and falling unconcious. And right where Flash had been standing stood MJ, a hardback book in hand and a confident smile on her face.

“MJ?” Peter asks, still holding his eye as he stands to his feet.

“Yeah Loser.”

“What-?”

“I warned him earlier on the bus. If he didn’t shut up, he was gonna get beat with a book.” She looks down at Flash who’s still on the floor. She looks back to Peter and holds up her book.

“I always keep my promises.” Peter just laughs and extends his hand, hoping for a handshake at least. But what Peter doesn’t expect, is when MJ takes his hand and entertwines it wit hers. She leans in and gives him a quick kiss.

“W-What-?” Peter asks, feeling happy, excited, and shocked all at the same time.

“You were taking to long.” MJ says. It’s a perfect moment until Peter hears someone shout behind him:

“YOU GO PETE!” Peter looks around, blushing furiously. Behind the two stands the entire class, and his entire team. Clint is standing there, his bow raised above his head in excitment.

“YEAH PETE!” Clint yells again. Tony begins the applause, and it just moves throughout the room. By the time everyone’s settled down, Flash is waking up.

All of the Avengers move to stand in front of him as he wakes. (Imagine the pose they do for Loki in the Avengers, when Loki loses.)

“What happened?” Flash mumbles as he sits up.

“You hit my son.” Tony says, his voice cold and serious. “You just punched Peter Stark.”

“And your lucky we don’t do worse to you.” Natasha adds in.

“Like make you hallucinate for days on end.” Wanda says. The Fear in Flash’s eyes is priceless.

“But Peter wouldn’t let us. So instead, we’re going to throw you out of here. And you will not come back. And you won’t bully anyone ever again.” Flash nods and scrambles to his feet before Hengoes to the door.

At that moment, Natasha decides that he isn’t moving fast enough. He gives him a kick to the rear, knocking him out the door and into the hallway.

“Okay guys, tour dismissed. Anyone says anything about a ‘Peter Stark’ and I’ll sue. Teach, I wanna talk for a minute.” Tony says. All the students leave the room.

Tony and his teacher have a quick discussion before Ms. Warren leaves the room. Only the team, Peter, Ned, and MJ are left.

“Dad, What did you say?” Peter asks.

“Just expect an apology at school on monday and no detention. Now who’s ready for movie night?” All hands go up. MJ takes Peter’s hand in hers and they all move to the penthouse for a movie and some snacks. Peter only has one thought as he follows his team.

I couldn’t have asked for a better family.

And there you have it my amazing arachnids. Hope it was okay. I larb you all,

Alexis.
