"No, No go away."

The kazekage muttered as local news reporters  were flooding into his office, trying to get his opinions on his brothers death.

"But sir kazekage! We must know how you feel about him"

"And i know that you must! Leave my office"

Gaara grinned his teeth, squeezing the bridge of his nose with his two fingers as he  shushed the reporters away.

The door shut close loudly. Leaving behind the two young boys that had something to say to the kazekage.

"Father..."

"Tch what is it n!- oh, what is it ?"

Shinki and Araya stood up straight in sync. Shinki cleared his throat.

"We are here for the mission"

Shinki held out a hand to get the papers Araya had returned. Gaara went through a single pile, finding exactly what he was looking for.

"Here, there has been, robbers all around the small town next to this village and i need you to take care of it."

Gaara gave harsh eye contact to the puppeteer as he spoke.

"It's a day walk, and none of the trains go there, i want a clear report. Maximum five days. Am i understood?"

The boys nod, receiving a sight of relieve as an answer before quietly leaving the room.

"Is he always like that"

"Father? Totally."

The boys have been walking for three hours and they left around two so it should be five atleast

As they walk in the silence for hours neither of them seem bothered by, shinki opens his mouth, his gaze on the small motel that was about 3 kilometers away.

"Araya."

The boy twitched awake, since he had been daydreaming the whole time, trying to figure out what to respond.

"Y-yes shinki?"

"How about we stay there"

Shinki pointed at the motel.

"But we only have five days...."

"And?" Shinki shook his head,"we'll be there in no time"

Araya sighted, trying his best to walk beside shinki, slowly getting lost in his own steps and thoughts. Araya did that often, that way he didn't need to talk more than necessary.

Other one of his legs wasn't doing as planned and he tripped. On his way down, face first of course shinki grabbed him by his wrist.

"Careful, Araya"

Araya lifted himself up, thinking that shinki would automatically let go of him. For few minutes they walk, shinki holding arayas wrist softly.

"U-uh shinki.?"

Araya played with the collar of his shirt with his fingers. Trying to say something.

"Yes, Araya"

Shinki didn't even glance at the brunette. It seemed like he didn't even realize he was holding Araya by his wrist.

"You're holding m-"

" I know, and i have zero intention of letting you go"

Shivers went down arayas back. Why was shinki doing and saying such things?.

"You'll fall again"

Araya sighted, shinki had no other intention than stopping him from falling.

Araya wanted shinki to slide his hand down onto his. He eagerly wanted to be close to the taller one.

"Two people room, ma'am"

Shinki said to the front desk lady, as this nodded and handed him a key. Spinning the key on his fingers as they walked up to their room. The air in the, atleast 20 year old motel was thick and hard to breathe. shinki saw few cockroaches on the corner of his eye, gagging at the thought of one crawling into his mouth while he slept. Shinki wasn't used to living in filth, Gaara was a clean freak. Who spent his free time, either gardening or cleaning.

"Shinki.."

Shinki mumbled quietly as he walked trough the door that Araya was Holding open for him.

"Shinki..."

Shinki turned around to see araya.

"There's only one bed, a-a-and we asked for two maybe i should go ask for a new room o-or we could"

Shinki showed his hand on arayas mask, covering the part where he thought arayas mouth would be

"This will do fine, quit blabbering"

Shinki sat on the bed, the sand that was surrounding him was gone in a blink. Araya was trying to process everything.

Was shinki going to sleep next to him?
