Sleepwalker

Tony first noticed that Peter sleepwalked when Peter was staying for the week. Friday alerted him that Peter was wandering around the tower and 3:45 AM. So of course, he got up and sought to find the kid. He had found Peter in the common room, staring blankly at the TV that was not even on.

"Mr. Stark, it appears that young Parker is sleepwalking," Friday informed. Tony sighed in relief, that made the entire situation less terrifying. He was just glad the team wasn't here, as they haven't met Peter yet. Tony fidgeted slightly.

"What do I do?" He asked his AI in a soft whisper.

"I recommend leading him back to bed. Do not be alarmed if he begins to resist or talk. It is advised not to wake him," Friday matched his tone. Tony nodded and slowly walked toward his kid.

"Hey, Spider-kid, how about getting back to bed, huh?" Tony asked while gently putting an arm around Peter's back and guiding him to his room. They were almost there when Peter stopped. Tony stopped as well, staring at the kid, scared that he had women him. Instead, Peter turned and hugged Tony. Tony was surprise, but gripped the kid. After a while of not knowing what to do with the kid hanging on to him, Tony was relieved when Peter finally let go. He resumed leading him to his room, and successfully getting him back in bed.

The sleepwalking continued to happen almost every other night. The most memorable time was when the Avengers were there. Peter was in bed before they even arrived back from the mission. They were all hanging out, Tony with them, when Friday chimed in, silencing them.

"Mr. Stark, Mr. Parker is wandering the halls again," Friday informed. Tony sighed and stood up, everyone watching curiously. Before anyone could move, the door opened and a teen shuffled in. Eyes ahead. He walked in and turned towards the heroes. He just stared at them, making them extremely uncomfortable. Tony was wheezing as he made his way to Peter. He wrapped his arm around the kid and tried leading him, but he resisted. It was the first time that he had ever resisted.

"Hey, kiddo, let's get back to bed, okay?" Tony mumbled to Peter.

"Not safe," Peter said, still staring at the heroes. Everyone was confused, why wasn't it safe?

"What's not safe, buddy?" Tony asked, ready to get his kid to bed as soon as possible. Peter turned towards him and leaned on his chest.

"Tony, stay," Peter said in his chest. Tony's heart swelled. This kid was seeking him in his sleep. There was a snort from Clint, which earned him a smack in the head from Natasha.

"Yeah, I'm not going anywhere, but we need to get you back to bed, okay?" Tony ran a hand through the kid's hair. There was a sigh from the sleeping body.

"M'kay," Peter mumbled, then allowed himself to be directed back to bed. Tony had to explain to the team, why there was a kid in his tower, then it became normal for them to see Peter around, as nothing more than an intern.

Another memorable time, was when Friday had woken Tony, and the whole team, up. Informing them that a meal has been prepared for them.

Confused and tired, they made their way to the kitchen. In the kitchen they saw Peter making pancakes.

"Hey! Thanks Pete!" Tony called to him, only to not get a response. Tony stopped. What the fuck? Tony walked to the kid and turned him around. Peter was sleep cooking. Tony let out a laugh, before quickly covering his mouth. Peter jerked at the sound. Tony then turned Peter to the other Avengers, who saw that the kid was sleepwalking. They thought it was hilarious, until.

"'M gotta feed them," Peter mumbled, obviously worried.

"Feed who?" Tony asked.

"Orphans, they're hungry," Peter mumbled. Tony sucked in a breath. Even in his sleep, this kid was thinking of others. The rest of the team watched in amazement, except for Clint, who was scarfing down pancakes. Tony put his hand in between Peter's shoulders.

"They're not hungry anymore buddy," Tony mumbled while he rubbed circles on his back. Peter's emotionless eyes quickly darted in his direction.

"Dead?" Peter mumbled with so much sadness that Tony's heart broke.

"No, they're not dead, son, they're happy, with families," Steve spoke up. Peter's head went down onto Tony's shoulder.

"Good, 'm tired," Peter mumbled once again. A collective laugh filled the kitchen. Tony let an airy laugh into the kid's hair.

"I would hope so, let's get back to bed, okay?" Peter didn't respond, but let himself be guided to bed.

By now, everyone knows the drill. You see Peter sleepwalking, you lead him back to bed.
