Peter can be real stupid sometimes 2
Yupppp
Peter woke up the next morning, feeling better than before. He noticed that he wasn't with Tony. In fact, he was still on the couch, by himself, surrounded by pillows and blankets. Peter pushed his way out of the mound and stood up. The onesie was a bit too big, so he had the sleeves covering his hands. He shivered slightly. When did the tower get so cold? He grabbed an ironman throw blanket from the pile and wrapped it around himself. He began his search for the team. The first stop was the kitchen. He didn't have to go far before he ran into someone, literally. He fell back on his butt with a little grunt. The person he ran into laughed softly before picking him up. It was Captain America.
"Hey son," Steve said while adjusting Peter on his hip. Peter let out a soft whine. Steve smiled and walked them the rest of the way to the kitchen. When they made it to the kitchen, Peter saw the time. He looked at Steve, who didn't seem phased that it was only 6AM. Steve set Peter down on the counter top so he could keep an eye on him while he cooks. Peter swung his legs back and forth. Steve smiled before handing him a sippy cup. Peter looked at it with a scrunched face. He's 15, not 2. Oh man... He's 2. With a sigh of defeat, he brought the cup to his mouth and took a drink. Apple juice was what was in it. Steve then handed him a small bowl of honey combs. Peter smiled at him and began eating. It was quiet in the kitchen, besides Steve humming while he works and the clatter of pans and items. Peter was grinning at the scene. Clint was the first to walk in. He took a look at Peter and grinned.
"How comes Peter gets to sit on the counter but I don't?" Clint asked Steve. Steve rolled his eyes.
"Because Peter doesn't get into stuff he's not supposed to," Steve shot back. Tony snorted from the door as he walked in. He went straight for the coffee pot, ruffling Peter's hair on the way. Peter let out a puff of air and pulled the blanket tighter around him. He grabbed his sippy cup and began drinking from it again. Tony came back with his coffee, and jumped up and sat on the counter next to Peter. Clint let out a noise and Steve just sighed. Natasha walked in, going for the coffee as well.
"Morning, Peter," she said. Peter waved and smiled. Soon enough, the whole team was crowding the kitchen, for no reason. Steve was fed up.
"If you aren't getting coffee, or if you don't own the tower, leave the kitchen now. Bruce, Peter, you guys can stay," Steve waved his spatula at everyone else, threatening to hit them with it. The all filtered out except for Tony, Bruce, Steve, and Peter. Peter finished his honeycombs and turned to Tony with the bowl in hand. Tony smiled and gently took the bowl from him. Peter put his hand on his lip the brought it down, palm up.
Cool story, actually. When we were fostering a little boy, he wasn't learning to talk well, but we always told him to use please and thank you. And at that point, he was like, 3 or 2. But, point is, he didn't know sign language. One day one of us gave him something and he signed thank you. It was lit.
'Thank you' Tony ruffled his hair again.
"Yup. Imma go get him changed," Tony said, jumping down, them grabbing Peter, who still had his sippy cup in hand. The blanket wrapped around him was held in place by Tony. Tony carried him to his room, where there was a box of clothes. Tony rummaged through it an pulled out a long sleeve shirt that said 'Boy Genius' on it, and grey sweatpants with red and white socks. Peter was changed quickly, the shirt was almost two sizes large for him, but it was comfortable. Before Tony could pick him up again, Peter was running down the hall, ironman blanket in one hand, and sippy cup in the other. He was giggling. He learned to walk early, so he could run by now. Tony figured he'd just let the kid burn out his energy. Peter found his was into the common room, where everyone else was chilling, except for Steve and Bruce. He saw Thor and made a bee line for him. He tried to climb the couch, but failed, so he just sat at Thor's feet. There was a coo from the team. Thor bent down and picked Peter up and placed him on his lap. Peter turned to Thor, and dropped the sippy cup, then booped him on the nose with a grin. Thor let out a laugh. Steve walked in.
"Breakfast is ready," Tony grumbled behind him.
"Finally,"
"I'm sorry, did you want to cook?"
"Hell no,"
"Tony there are child ears present,"
"'Tony there are child ears present'," there was a sigh as the team realised that this would be another fight. Peter's eyes teared up. They began yelling and that's when the tears fell. Clint was the first to notice. His father instincts must have told him.
"Shut up!" He yelled at the two as he stood between them. They stared at Clint, who pointed to Peter, who was now on the couch, instead of Thor, crying. Tony stared, wide-eyed. He didn't know how to deal with a crying kid! Clint scoffed before going to Peter and softly talking to him.
"Hey buddy, that was scary huh?" Clint asked. Peter shrugged. It was more that his senses were still dialed up, so it hurt. But sure. He wiped his tears on the blanket. Clint scooped him up in his arms, and with a glare at the two who caused the tears, he left down the hall. Natasha followed him. They took Peter to the training room, where they played a couple games with him to cheer him up. It was when Peter stopped participating that they called it quits. Natasha was watching as Peter was clenching and unclenching his fist. Weird.
"So, you like that Spider kid, huh?" Peter looked up quickly, eyes wide. He calmed down slightly when he processed the question. He simply shrugged. Natasha narrowed her eyes.
"Oh, so then is it you?" Peter quickly shook his head. Clint snorted.
"Don't worry little dude, secret's safe with us," Peter sighed in relief and defeat at the same time before-
"HEY DONT USE THAT FINGER"
"OH MY GOD YES"
He flipped the the bird.
