While only taking up about 10% of the world's population (Magelings included), for most of history, elementals have been the dominant powers in the world. In the early days they were worshipped as idols, deities by humans. On the outside they look just like humans, but when they start channeling their magic powers, their appearance will began to shift into their respective element. But with the rise of new advanced human technology, the balance of power is beginning to shift. The magic of the old vs the technology of the new.
