i wish i could say i was wrapped in warm embraces instead of

  silken sheets 

that i don't know 

where they came from?

i wish i could say i would be 

wrapped 

in hugs and smiles and laughter

but instead 

you came and 

coiled yourself around me

sucked my breath away 

and yet how come you're

still asking for more?

i sat there and told my woes to the skies 

lay myself on the bare earth 

and drenched it with you

the cold earth

against my warm woes and sunken toes

as it wrapped itself around me and put me to rest.
