I'm Denyefa4 on Wattpad, pere_theheartbroken_poet on Instagram and Emmanuel in my everyday life.

Nice to meet you! For this interview, may I call you Emmanuel?

Okay, thank you, Emmanuel! I saw you are currently writing a wide variety of books, but one that struck my eye was a book called "The Mate Bond!" The main character, Cathy seems very interesting! Would you mind telling us a bit about her?

You are welcome. Yes, Cathy is a very interesting character, she's a young fifteen (almost sixteen) regular bullied girl that has lost a lot in her life, due to her past she hardly opens up to the people around her but all this changed when she met are mates.

Ah, cool! She sounds amazing! If may ask, does she have any main bullies, if so what are their names?

Thanks. Yes, she has a main bully(s) by the name Macy (and her gang). fun fact: Cathy calls Macy (curse word) blonde (please don't tell Macy I told you that)

I won't, lol. Does Macy have a motive for bullying Cathy? (Also, apologies in advance, but can't add any curse words when I copy and paste this interview)

Okay. She does it for fun and because Cathy is an Omega!

Macy sounds like a really heartless person! Does anyone stand up for Cathy?

Macy is just a bored and insecure person that's always looking for ways to get rid of some of her frustration.

Before Cathy was transferred to the college of shifters she had no one to stand up for her and she was afraid of standing up for herself but everything changed when she met her mate, Nathaniel. Nathaniel stood up for her and also gave her the courage to stand up for herself.

Awwwww!! Nathaniel sounds very caring! Can you share some more about him?

Okay, Nathaniel is also a fifteen-year-old and the third son of the Alpha of the biggest and strongest pack in the country. He's considered a celeb because he's the soon-to-be Alpha of his pack, Nathaniel and Cathy's worlds are a contrasts of each other, Cathy is hated by the world but loved by her mother while Nathaniel is loved by the world but hated by his father. Nathaniel is the predator and not the prey, the hunter and not the hunted

Fascinating! The way Cathy and Nathaniel are compared of as opposites reminds me of other characters I've seen! Why would Nathaniel's father hate him though?

Nathaniel likes to be his own man, he hates being controlled and that's what his father like doing (controlling people). Also when Nathaniel's father learns that Nathaniel is mated to an Omega it really tipped him off the edge, most importantly Nathaniel's father started getting jealous of Nathaniel because he has a very rare type of abilities (powers) and the jealousy fuels the hate more.

I can relate to Nathaniel's hatred of being controlled, I'm the same way. When I feel like someone is controlling me I get really annoyed and aggravated. What does Nathaniel do when he feels like he's getting controlled by someone?

Wow, that's nice! Nathaniel is seen as a very annoying character so when he feels he's being controlled he won't lash out but rather he'll do something that you don't approve of and you'll do the lashing out for him. :)

Wow, that's kind of funny! XD Certainly not what I've seen other characters do when they feel too controlled! That makes Nathaniel very unique! I'm very interested about Cathy. Is there a specific conflict she faces in this book?

Cathy faces a lot of conflicts, first with herself then with Macy, Nathaniel's dad and brother and there will be other conflicts she'll face later on as the book progresses.

Ooo! I won't ask about her future conflicts because I'm sure the readers would not want this book to be spoiled. However, I do see there is a prophecy in this book. Can you share a bit about this prophecy?

Yes, there is a prophecy and the union of Cathy and her mates marks the beginning of the fulfilment of the prophecy, the prophecy involves omega declining with their mate Alpha saving the world from impending doom.

Woah! So mysterious! Do Cathy and Nathaniel get any help on the mission to save the world?

I think they do but that's for you to find out when you read the book :)

Perfectly fine that you don't want to say any more about their assistance! Is there a specific message that you would want readers to take away from this story, "The Cursed Bond?"

The cursed Bond has lots of messages to pass to the readers but I'll just point out one, in the book Cathy and Nath had to choose between themselves or the world but they chose both so I just to tell my readers that in every situation there's always another option.

Ah, very interesting message! Well, we've talked a lot about "The Cursed Bond" and I'm sure readers wouldn't want it to be completely spoiled. Before we go to another topic, I have two more questions about "The Cursed Bond." My first question: Which character do you believe changes the most throughout the story?

I think Cathy changed a lot after she met her wolf and Nathaniel, at first Cathy was seen as a shy, scared and broken girl but when she met her wolf and Nathaniel they inspired her to be a stronger and fearless version of herself.

Spoiler alert: she took the bold step and stood up to her bullies.

Amazing character change for her!! It's always great to see people overcome their bullies! My final question about this wonderful book: which character do you believe relates the most to you?

I think I relate to Nathaniel more as added a few things from my personal life for example his daddy issues, favorite things and many more so I think Nathaniel is my guy.

Great! Let's continue! I see you are writing a poetry book as well! I find poetry very relatable and relaxing! Is there a reason why you like poetry?

Yes, there is, there was a point in my life when my emotions were all over the place, and poetry was the only thing that could help me get my emotions back on track.

That's why I started writing poetry too! Do you have a favorite poem of yours that you would like to share?

Yes, I do, it's titled 'My Definition of Love'.

Love is like pin in a pile of hay stack

Hard to find but easy to lose

As the saying goes

Nothing lasts forever.

Love comes and goes at will

Just like how people do

It's just a passer by

And it takes everything that is attached along with it.

Love is like string

It can snap at any moment

But under the right circumstances

It becomes stronger

Love is like a flower that blossoms during spring

And fades away during autumn.

It doesn't stay forever

Because the seasons change and it changes with it.

Love consumes like a person addicted to drugs

If you are too attached to the drug

When it moves on, it takes something of yours with it.

Love is like a person

It starts as an infant then grows to a teen Then when it's an adult it would want to leave And it will, but in rare cases it endures longer than usual before it moves on

Looking for the next victim that will fall to it.

Okay, I'm going to be one hundred per cent honest here: I can feel every emotion in this poem! This is a work of art in my opinion! The way you used similes by comparing love to so many things is mindblowing! Did you write this based on a personal experience? You don't have to answer if you don't wish to.

Actually Yes, it's based on my personal experience.

Ah! Have you ever written poems inspired by "The Cursed Bond"?

No, I haven't, I've never really thought of it.

That's perfectly okay! Many songs are just poems with music. Which has me wondering, have you ever had a poem you've written turned into a song? If not, have you considered doing that?

Yes, recently I've considered turning one of my poems into a song, but won't be doing that now because I'm really busy.

Amazing! Do you have a favorite author on/off Wattpad?

Yes, I do, it's Owliecat. I love their work and kindness, they are just the best role model and I plan on being as amazing as they are.

Ooo! I'm sure you'll be as great as them in no time! What's your most favorite book genre?

Thanks, my favorite genre is the paranormal and supernatural, sometimes I prefer romance too.

No problem and cool! I'm not a huge fan of those genres, however I do enjoy searching up ghost stories lol! Do you have any hobbies outside Wattpad?

Yes, outside Wattpad I'm a ghostwriter and I'm also a student.

Awesome! Since you're a student, have you thought about what career you'd like to have?

Yes, I have, they are about three careers I'll like to pursue. The first is criminal law, second writing, and the third is cinematography.
