Aditi's breath held when Shubman entered the field with his opening partner Rohit Sharma, the captain. New Zealand bowlers went aggressive on him, still he hit each ball with all the passion he had for his work.

At each four and six, Aditi cheered for him.She sat beside her brother, and David Beckham next to her. The star studded row didn't intimidate her, instead she made friends with a few of them.

Sharing a few jokes and gossips in between with her current acquaintances, she kept her mind on the pitch. Shubman played several eye-catching shots.

Aditi caught the camera's attention, holding hands with Kiara Advani for a moment while laughing beside David. Hardik sipping on his nariyal pani beside her. A smile crept Shubman's face, she became his motivation.

The next ball served to him by Rachin, he shot the ball and ran to get a run. He reached his fifty, receiving applause from the fans, Aditi cheered from him with the crowd's howls.

In the middle of the 23rd over, after managing a single, Shubman sat down and took deep breaths. Rohit who was up in the dressing room came down to the dugout to see what was happening.

The medic rushed to him. He points to his groin, and then traces a line down his leg all the way to his knee, as the physio was checking on him.

Aditi was worried for him asking her brother if she should go check on him. "Thodi der se jana abhi pura attention hai uspe." Hardik suggested. She nodded at her brother and kept her eyes on Shubman.

Eventually, the decision is taken and he walks off the field. Aditi's eyes caught a glimpse of her mother who seemed uneasy with the situation.

Shreyas Iyer coming down to replace him. After a ball or two she called to check on him. "Kya hua? Theek hai? Is is hurting? Dou you want me to come over?" She bombarded him with questions.

"Are aaram se. Panic kyu ho rahi hai. Kuch nahi hua mujhe. Chill kar." Shubman's peaceful voice calmed her down. "Mummy ko bolna mai theek hu. Her phone is switched off. Kuch nahi hua. Ok?"

"Ha." Aditi nodded her head. She got up and went to where Shubman's mother sat. She assured her, "Aunty, Shubman se baat hui abhi. Normal cramp tha. He's fine. Aap chinta mat karo." Kerat smiled at her and patted her cheek.

Aditi went out of the audience area to the medic room. The physiotherapist came out of the room before she went in. Ishan was there poking his thigh, "dukh raha hai kya?" He earned a slap from Shubman.

He saw Aditi coming in and went to her, whining about it. "Kyu pareshan kar rha hai bacche ko." She patted Ishan's cheek while scolding Shubman.

His jaw dropped at the way his girlfriend defended Ishan. "He's the one teasing me and you're yelling at me. Isme meri kya galti, uski harkate hi aesi hai."

She sat beside him as ishan and her laughed. She pecked his cheek and pulled it. "Hua kya exactly." She asked about his leg.

"Kuch nahi, muscle cramp tha. Normal hai." He put his hand on Ishan's eyes closing it shut. Then moving to kiss Aditi. She held his face in her hand as their lips locked.

When they pulled apart, Shubman removed his hands from Ishan's eyes. Ishan smirked at the two, earning a glare from both.

After a while she left the room, returning back to her place. "Where were you?" Kiara asked her.

"I just had to use the washroom. Had hard time finding it." She was about to sit back when Anushka called for her.

Vamika squealed and jumped in her arms. The screen showed her pampering the baby Kohli. Ferguson bowled at Virat, scoring two runs, he recorded his 50th ODI century. The whole crowd went crazy.

Virat jumped and punched the air in delight after completing the second run. He was on his knees. The helmet comes off and he raises his hands before bowing down.

Sachin Tendulkar, in reply, stands and applauds. Anushka showed flying kissed on him. Sachin Tendukar came near them and congratulated Anushka. He took Vamika from her and played with her.

Lastly, he looked up as if he's watching his father's proud face in the clouds. Aditi teared up, witnessing the gesture. She missed her father dearly.

Anushka came and hugged her tight. Hardik hpooed from his seat and took his younger sister in his arms as she shed tears.

Aditi was the closest to her father, in all the three siblings while Krunal and Hardik were more attached to their mother. His demise affected her the worst. She was in London, when he passed away, and she couldn't come back due to the pandemic restrictions.

Lastly Shubman came back on the field and scored 80 runs before the inning ended. He was a bit low as he couldn't get a century.

During the break, everyone was congratulating Virat and wishing him on his birthday. "Happy birthday, Cheeku bhaiya." She hugged him tight.

Virat caressed her hair, "Tu roi kyu. Pagal." Anushka told him about why she cried as the whole scene was displayed. He again hugged her tighter. The two stayed with each other for a while, reminiscing about both of their's fathers.

Anushka captured a picture of the beautiful moment. Shubman waited behind while they hugged.

When Aditi spotted him, she went to him and gave him a side hug. "You know everyone saw you ugly crying." The two went into a room for privacy when everyone was engaged in the break. He pecked her lips and hugged her.

"Vaise roi kyu." He held her face in his hands.

"Papa ki yaad aa gai thi." He kissed her head and hugged her again.

"He wouldn't like you crying, baby." They held each for a while before Ishan messaged Shubman to come back to gear up for the next inning. She kissed him hard and wished him the best.

India won, and went straight to finals. Rohit invited the team with their families for a bhai duj celebration at his house. Some couldn't attend due to being preoccupied by a private affair to the same celebration.

Aditi wore a ivory Anarkali with a zari dupatta. Keeping her hair wavy, she wore white jutis, Shahneel got her today from her trip to Amritsar.

She arrived at Rohit's apartment with her brothers, sisters in law and nephews. Agastya ran off to play with the other kids. They moved to the back lawn, as it is more spacious. It was decorated with lights. Long seats covered in white was arranged.

Aditi went to Shahneel and hugged her, "Hey pretty." Shahneel winked at her. They soon started the ceremony. Hardik and Krunal sat while Pankhuri arranged the thali for Aditi.

After performing the ritual with her brothers. She went to Virat, Rohit and Rahul. All of them showered her with gifts.

"Are mai reh gaya." Ishan sat beside Agastya who was playing with the electric diya. Aditi laughed and applied the tilak on him. She fed him a piece of chocolate and asked for her gift.

She helped Samaira put tilak on Agastya's head. Ishan held him as he wiggled in his arms. Right after he left the kid free, Agastya smudged the tilak off him.

They enjoyed the dinner and played a few games before taking off back to their home.
