"Here," I shouted loud enough for the whole class to hear. Today was the first day of school and Micheal and I had almost all the same classes. The only class we didn't have the same of was out study focus.

"Are you ready for the first day of school?" He whispered in my ear so only I could hear him.

"Yeah. You know me. Ready for anything that comes our way. We're the 'power friends'. We can conquer the city." We called ourselves the power friends ever since I moved in with him. Even though this was 3 years ago and we were 17 now. Ever since we got out of middle school we made friends. We met some kids named Luke, Calum, and Ashton. We met them freshman year, apparently they combined 2 different school when we went to high school.

Calum was a Kiwi. Everyone thought he was Asian, But he's not, he's Kiwi asf.

Luke has a lip ring. And omfg it kills me every time I look at it.

Then Ashton. He's that one guy who looks like he could be in a band. He's got the long hair and the bandana. Everyone wears bandanas, but I think it works best with Ashton's hair.

Addi: shhh I'm trying to work here!

Luke🍕: would you both just shut up.

Ashy😏: yeah seriously were trying to acual my get stuff done Mikey!

Mikey💕: fine I'll leave! Bye. I'm never coming back!! 😡

Addi: Mikey get back here or I'll come to your class and make you come back 😂

Mikey💕: no. I'm never talking to you again!!

Addi: you kinda have to talk to me. We live across the hall from each other 🤗

Mikey💕: you really suck Addi 😒

Calum🌯: you all need to shut up before I get in trouble.

Mikey💕: fine everyone bathroom break?

Luke🍕: you read my mind

Calum🌯: do I have a choice?

Ashy😏: i got this... Ninja mode

Addi: you guys are so slow. Get your Australian accents over here now!!

I would always be the first one to the bathrooms. And when they're being slow and texting the whole time I got to tell them to get over there and fast. We had a 7 minute limit for the bathroom. Are they trying to put a limit on my toilet time?

"Hey beautiful, you come here often?" Mikey was being cheesy like always. I just had to respond.

"I come here every time you tell me to so yeah. I come here ever five minutes because poor little Mikey is lonely." I was about to start crying like a baby when the other 3 walked up.

"Can we please just say that you two would be a really cute couple!" Luke said pointing at me and Mikey.

I rolled my eyes in response. "You know that we wouldn't do that. We're family. And sisters doesn't fuck their brothers. Luke how dare you."

Mikey looked at me like I was crazy. "Yeah, your funny. They all know we've done it!" Micheal started to grow a smile on his face.

"Micheal Gordon Clifford! How dare you. That was our little secret." I started cracking up and realized we only had 2 minutes left.

"Addison Tyler Fly! Did you just say my middle name!?" He was shocked. And so was I. He said my middle name and I have a full on guys name. When they see my name on paper they think I am a guy. Even though these names are unisexual.

"Of course I did Micheal. What kind of best friend would I be if I didn't?" As I walked away saying that they all checked their phones to see what time it was.

It's been a couple months and Micheal and I have been talking to the guys about what's going to happen after we graduate next month. I thought of staying in town and buying something there. Everyone else's wanted to leave the small town with rumors and lies. The place where everyone knew everyone.

"Mikey? I think we should move to Nashville. What do you think?" I wasn't sure what he would say. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie– I didn't really care for it.

"Addi, I don't know. Remember the last time?"

"That was 4 years ago. I've let it go.
Why can't you. I feel invisible in this town. The only time I'm happy is when I'm alone in this house. That's when I can be myself." I couldn't lie to him.

I wasn't happy. I had been struggling to stay happy these past couple of months. With school ending and things with our friends heating up. We would fight all the time. Everyone except for Micheal and myself. We were all under stress. Just me and Micheal didn't have it at home. His parents were always gone.

"I think that would be a great idea. But isn't it like SUPER expensive?" He was over exasperating like always.

"Apartments are like 2000 dollars a month. And if we get 2 then it would be 4000 a month. We could all work here for a while till August then we could move to Nashville."

"Why 2 apartments though?" He asked as if he already didn't know.

"2 apartments because Luke, Calum, and Ashton are pigs. We would never get any sleep. So they have their own apartment then we have ours."

"I guess that—" he was interrupted by a loud banging on the door.
