Vylad's POV

I was worried because Y/ N didn't make it home last night.

I told the others she went to bed early because I didn't want them to worry about her.

After everyone else went to bed I went to her room to see if she had somehow gotten back without anyone noticing.

"Vylad, Y/N isn't here, is she?" Zane asked.

"She's in her room. I was just going to check on her." I said, hoping she was inside.

"If you say so." He sighed and went back to his room.

I opened the door and peeked inside, sighing in relief when I saw Y/N sleeping.

She must've slipped in through the window, I thought.

I went to my room and went to sleep.

Y/N's POV

I sat up when Vylad left my room, thankful he covered for me.

I grabbed my phone and put in my earbuds, turning on some music to help me sleep.

After I turned on my music I lied back down and stared at the ceiling while waiting to fall asleep.

I woke up with a shriek as the guys dumped a cup of cold water on my face.

"I'm going to kill you guys!" I yelled and they ran out of my room laughing.

"Y/N? What's wrong?" Zianna asked as I ran into the kitchen.

I saw Garroth's hair behind the counter and went up to him, poking his shoulder.

"Gotcha." I whispered. "Now to kill you and find the other two."

Garroth's eyes widened and he started apologizing, which made me burst out laughing.

"I'm not literally going to kill you, dummy!" I laughed.

"You kids need to get ready for school or you'll be late." Zianna said and I ran upstairs to get ready.

I met the boys downstairs and we said bye to Garte and Zianna before leaving.

"Hey Garroth!" A girl said and waved at Garroth from across the street.

"Oh, hey Aphmau!" Garroth said. "Wanna walk with us to school?"

I noticed a pink haired meif'wa talking to a girl with powder blue hair next to the short girl who I'm guessing is Aphmau. "Sure! We'll be right over there!"

Aphmau and her friends walked across the street to where we were and Zane looked away after glancing at the meif'wa girl.

"You like her!" I whispered, giggling.

"No I don't! She's a stupid cat girl woman thing!" Zane yelled, clearly flustered.

"I don't think we've met." Aphmau said. "My name is Aphmau. The meif'wa is Kawaii~chan and this here is Katelyn."

"Hi, I'm Y/ N Ro'meave." I said with a smile.

"Garroth, I thought you only had Zane and Vylad as siblings." Katelyn said.

"I'm not actually his sister." I said. "I was adopted not too long ago."

"Ohhh! That makes sense!" Kawaii~chan said and I winced at her high pitched voice. "Kawaii~chan thinks Y/N is a really pretty name!"

"We're going to be late." Zane huffed and put in his earbuds, walking ahead of everyone.

I jogged to catch up with him and snatched one of his earbuds, putting it in my own ear.

"I love this song!" I exclaimed as I started humming along to O.D.D.

"Really?" Zane asked, surprised.

"Yeah! This is one of my favourite songs!"

When we got to school I went straight to class.

Turns out i have my first class with both Kawaii~chan and Aphmau.

I sat with them and texted Zenix because I didn't see him.

It turns out we don't have any classes together anymore because of a schedule change.

"So, Y/N! Tell us about yourself!" Aphmau said with a smile.

We talked until the teacher arrived and it turns out we all have a lot in common!

We became friends so quickly and they're both so nice!

I don't deserve to be friends with them.

~Time skip to after school~

After school we all met up again and walked together.

"Bye guys! Kawaii~chan will see you tomorrow!" Kawaii~chan said and went inside her very pink house.

We kept walking until we got to Katelyn's house.

"Bye guys! Bye Y/N! I hope you and I will become great friends!" Katelyn said with a grin as she went to her front door where a boy with blue hair waited.

"Katelyn! Stop messing with my hair!" He exclaimed as she rubbed his hair with her first.

I laughed and Garroth, Vylad, Zane, Aphmau and I continued walking towards our houses.

Once we got to our house I waved goodbye to Aphmau and went inside.

"Hey guys! We're home!" I exclaimed and Zianna told us to put our things away so we could get ready for dinner.

I went upstairs to my room and set my bag down by my bed and changed into a galaxy sweatshirt and black leggings.

I washed my hands and headed downstairs and sat down at the table.

Garroth, Vylad and Zane came downstairs a few minutes later and sat down in their seats.

Garte came out of the kitchen with a plate of burgers  and a big bowl of salad.

He set them down on the table and went back into the kitchen, coming out with a tray of cups of sprite, setting the cups in front of each of us and putting the tray in the kitchen.

Garte sat down and grabbed the plate of burgers again, putting one on his plate and passing the big plate to Zianna.

It was passed around the table until it got to me and I took the last burger, setting the plate back on the table.

I grabbed the bowl of salad and put some on my plate, setting the bowl back down.

"Thank you, Gart-- I mean, dad." I said and Garte smiled and we all started eating our dinner.

"Kids, did anything happen at school today?" Zianna asked.

"It was pretty boring today. Nothing exciting happened." Garroth said.

"I made some new friends." I piped up and Zianna smiled.

"What are their names?" She asked.

"Kawaii~chan and Aphmau! I think I'll be friends with Katelyn soon though." I said.

"Aphmau and Katelyn... Ah! Aphmau! I'm best friends with her mother! Does Katelyn have blue hair? If so, I'm friends with her father!" Zianna said.

"Yup! That's them!" I said.

"I took a test today." Vylad said. "It was really easy."

"I'll bring out dessert." I said and gathered everyone's plates.

I walked into the kitchen and set the plates in the sink before getting the brownies.

The moment I set them on the table Zane grabbed one and ate it.

I sat down and took a brownie as well, eating it quietly while listening to everyone talking and laughing.

Once the brownies were gone and everyone was full, I took care of the dishes and washed them in the sink before going to bed.

It feels good to be in a family again.
