"I'll help".

"Great, is it okay on Saturday?" Chat asked. Marinette concluded that he had school, that's why they had to do it on Saturday. Besides, knowing Chat, he explained their patrol schedule to this Ladybug. On Saturday morning, Ladybug had to roam around, being aware of cats and helicopters.

"Sure," she said, smiling "can we talk about the other thing now?" Marinette asked again, trying not to sound pushy or desperate. It was just that this was something important for her, and she needed answers.

"Right! Sorry... So I was thinking that maybe it had to do something with the fact that I'm the only one that can see you" he explained his thoughts. Marinette crossed her legs to be more comfortable.

"I agree. Actually, I saw one of my parents' visits, and both of them grabbed my hands and I didn't feel a thing" she remembered. He didn't say anything, but he was looking at her hands.

"Uh... Chat?".

He straightened up and blinked "I'm sorry, I was wondering if I could hold your hand". Marinette blushed, but it was unoticeable. She moved closer to him and offered him her hand. Chat looked at her and took it. She liked how his hand caressed her palm with his thumb.

"Actually, I can't feel you. It's like I'm grabbing heavy air," he pulled her into a huge "But I like the fact that destiny chose me, and not another person... Holding you reminds me of that".

Marinette smiled and hugged him back "I'm glad it was you, too".

Saturday arrived. They didn't see each other that much over the week, but they did make a plan to retrieve the earrings. What they agreed on was that Chat would wait in an alley for Marinette, who would follow Ladybug once she finished her patrol and overshadow the person behind the mask. Inside the body, she would take out the earrings and give them to Chat, using the body so it would look natural. Marinette obviously wanted for her to put the earrings back to her ears, but if she did that then Chat would know her identity, and of course, the bluenette didn't want that. That's why she agreed with Chat's plan. Although, she hoped she could talk with Tikki, even if it was through this fake Ladybug.

Marinette and Chat agreed on meeting in an alley near where Ladybug started her patrol. Chat reassured her he wouldn't anywhere and he would wait for her in that same alley. She told him she would say 'Nuts and Raisins' once she arrived as the de-transformed Ladybug, so Chat would know it was her. He wished her good luck and Marinette ran to the place.

She quickly checked that she wasn't in Chat's range of view and ran to the place where she knew the patrol would end. Chat had told her that he had explained this new LB how the original one, AKA herself, used to patrol. It would end at the Seine. She made her way there.

While going, she realised that this patrol was one of the shortests. It was at 8 o'clock in the morning, and it lasted 45 minutes, if this girl was fast, half an hour. Marinette got there in 25. After 10 minutes, she saw Ladybug land right in front of her. The superheroine checked her surroundings and slowly walked to a nearby safe place to de-transform. Marinette followed her. The blonde found an alley and de-transformed there. What Marinette saw, she couldn't believe. Chloe was now standing in front of her. She got closer to eavesdrop.

When the Kwami left the earrings, Chloe didn't make an effort to pick her up, so poor Tikki had to use what was left of her energy to get into Chloe's purse.

"Chloe, can I get something to eat please? I'm starving" Tikki asked, her tone of voice showing how tired she was. Chloe chuckled sarcastically.

"I don't have anything for you to eat right now, and I don't have the time to look for something. I need to get to the spa in 15 minutes!" Chloe exclaimed, then pushed Tikki into the purse and closed it. She was about to leave, but Marinette overshadowed her right before she could do so. Marinette wanted to talk to Tikki now that she had the chance, but she didn't know what she would say. She had to improvise.

Marinette, inside Chloe's body, opened the purse and slowly placed Tikki on her palms and sighed "Tikki?".

"Oh my God, you remembered my name! You used to call me Token before!" Tikki informed Marinette without realizing it. The bluenette cringed at that name.

"Listen, what I'm about to tell you is crazy, but please try to believe it," she took a deep breath "I was Chloe one minute ago but right now I'm Marinette. Something weird happened, and my soul is roaming around while my body is in a coma. That guy that helped me heal you told me that there was one person that could see me, and it turns out it is Chat Noir. He wanted to retrieve the earrings, so I'm going to give them to him. If you don't believe a thing, Marinette, me, is Ladybug, I like Adrien and once you told me that some centuries ago you and Chat's kwami had-" Marinette was cut off.

"Alright, alright, alright, no need to got there. I believe you Mari," she smiled weakly "If I understood right, you need to get to Chat now". Marinette sighed of relieve and started walking to the alley where Chat was waiting. On their way there, Marinette bought Tikki a big cookie in a small store she found. The owner was surprised to see the Mayor's daughter buy his sweets, but Marinette acted as her normal self, not caring for Chloe's reputation.

She even helped an old lady cross the street.

While Marinette was walking, she had to contain a laugh the moment she imagined Chat's face when he found out Ladybug was Chloe. She wanted to see it and she didn't have to wait any longer.

Marinette, as Chloe, entered the alley.

Chat looked at her with a confused look "Chloe? What are you-".

"Nuts and Raisins" she simply said.

"Wha-? No way! Mari? So you can actually overshadow bodies?!," his surprised and excited expression changed to a confused and somehow angry one "So Chloe found the earrings and acted as a replacement? Chloe, of all people?".

Marinette shrugged and took the earrings off "Here, take good care of them". She gave them to him. Chat took them and walked back, surprised, when he saw Marinette's soul come out of Chloe. Marinette was a bit tired out, but Chloe almost lost consciousness, so Chat had to grab her.

The blonde blinked "Chat Noir?". The hero was about to answer something, when he suddenly hit her on a specific spot on her head with his baton, and Chloe fainted.

Marinette walked to him "Chat! Why did you do that?".

"I'm glad to hear you talk with your sweet voice again" he smiled at her. Marinette blushed, but he couldn't see it, thank God for that.

She rolled her eyes "You didn't answer my question". Chat put his baton away "My Kwami told me that if I hit her on that part of her head, she wouldn't remember anything of the past 2 months".

Marinette blinked "Why did he tell you that?".

"To prevent someone from knowing my identity, and Ladybug's too. I decided to use it now, so she wouldn't know a thing about the Miraculous". She nodded.

Chat took Chloe to the Hotel her father owned, and then picked up Marinette to take her to her own house.
