Karma's POV

      They were never there....

   No family to call to, just me....

I looked up towards the hospital ceiling and smiled my usual smile. I never had love in my life until now. I turned to Nagisa who was sound asleep in the other bed. A slight smile spread across his face as pink painted his cheeks.

     I chuckled as I felt that feeling I've never felt before. My phone rang quietly on the table by my bed. I reached over and scoffed. "What?"

"Woah that's disrespectful young man!"

"Yeah at least I didn't abandon you guys..."

"It was for the greater good!"

"Yup that's always the excuse."

"Sweetie listen to your father please."

I groaned and brought my knees to my chest. "Speak."

"I just wanted to check in."

"I'm fine I don't need you guys because I been fine for 7 years of my life."

"Son please listen to me"

"What is it this time?"

"Don't forget we always love you."

"Then how about you actually come here and say it like a actual father!!"

I hung the phone up and buried my head in my knees. Yeah my parents wasn't As abusive as Nagisa's, nor did I have friends that told me to die, yet...I just really
need help. The tears slowly fell down my cheeks as I wished they'd stay here instead of making money. I wish they never told me those hurtful words that stayed with me for my life.

      I never liked crying but sometimes bottling these feelings up hurt me mentally. I heard Nagisa shuffle in the bed next to me which made me quickly wipe my tears. He sat up and stretched before getting out of bed. "Karma..." He tugged at his hospital gown making me chuckle. "Yes Nagisa?"

"Can you come with me to get snacks from downstairs?"

"Are you scared to go yourself?" He nodded as I leaped out of bed. "Come on Nagisa." He held my hand as we quietly walked out the room. "I'm tired." I looked down at him as he rubbed his eyes childishly. The hospital gown dragged across the floor since it was too big for him.

    "Then how come you don't sleep through the hunger?"

"Because due to my hunger I woke up!" His arms flew around as I ducked for cover. "Your gonna kill someone like that!"

"Well I almost did."

"What do you mean you almost did."

"Oh right I didn't tell you, so when Sambre and I crossed paths to..."

I listened to Nagisa's sweet voice tell me how he karate chopped Sambre in the back as he fought the spray. I smiled even though it hurt me. I just wanna see him happy...
