Missy stretched and yawned, yesterday there was a tracker on her from Catfin Griffin...weird cat...

Missy walked into the living room and walked towards the door.

"Where do you think you're going young molly?" Missy spun around and was relieved it was her mom. "Oh. Mom. It's just you." "Yes.."

"Last time you were out you chased someone into an alley!"

"He put a tracker on me!"

"No excuse to almost hurt some cat!"

"He lied to me about dad!"

"Are.....are you trying to figure out your dad's death?!"

"...Uh...no."

"You're lying! Your ears pin down when you lie!" Shoot. She was right. Missy's ears were pinned down

"Uhhhhhhh....." Missy ran through the door, "Missy!!" She heard her mom in the distance. Missy kept running, she ran into the forest. By the time she slowed down she was panting heavily. Really heavily. She walked deeper and saw a cat with a scar and a stick with a sharp stone tied to the end.

"Um hello? Do you know where I am?" The cat turned around and hissed, "Intruder!!" "No no! I'm lost! Please guide me out." Missy's eyes widen as she made herself smaller, "sorry."

The cat slowly turned less hostile, "Fine! Just dont let me catch you on here again town cat!"
"sorry." "shut up."

Missy followed the cat as they traveled through the forest.

"So....I'm Missy..who are you?" The cat stayed silent.

"At least tell me your pronouns and gender so I know what I refer you to."

"Fine. I'm genderfluid and go by xe/xem."

"Cool! Can you teach me more-" She got cut off and lowered herself in fear as the cat spun around with a mad face, xe yelled, "Do you have a death wish?! Shut up Missy!!"

Missy looked away sadly and nodded. Xe turned around and continued walking as Missy followed. They eventually made it to the border of the town and forest.

"Uh.. Thanks...it was nice meeting you I guess. Uhm. Sorry for disturbing you." Missy hopped over and started to head home.

"Hey." Missy stopped and turned around, "Hm?" Xe smiled and spoke, "I'm Gilded ginger." Missy smiles back and  says, "Nice meeting you, Gilded Ginger." Missy turned back and continued to walk back to her home. She finally made a friend. And Xe werent a scandal! She was excited. Finally, a friend for once.
