"Hm, it appears the assassin whom I hired...failed to get the young woman. Such a shame..." Rei Nago sighed as he stood on top of one of the tall towers in the city, staring down into the ravine at Obsidian's home. "I best report this to Hanai, wouldn't want him to grow angry, would we?" He smirked his pale lips and his blue eyes flashed crimson after they were shown. Like before, he lifted his hand, pointed out a finger, and moved it in a large circle in mid-air. A blue, sparkling bubble engulfed his entire body and he vanished from sight after it shrunk down to the size of a spec.

Obsidian, as it showed that he hasn't met Rei Nago, he had apparently pulled off a facade made to believe he hasn't. Rei had some sort of history with the Batman, and Obi, when he was told about Rei during their descent down the stairs, he merely played along with his brother. Onyx was led to believe Obi hadn't met him yet, unfortunately, he has... Hence why Rei Nago acted as though he held a grudge against the bat demon.

After he appeared in Yogu's house, he sighed and felt the sparkling residue fall all around him. "Hanai, it seems the assassin failed to capture her. What other ideas do you have, that I could try?" He frowned with annoyance and grumbled.

Hanai's red eyes widened, only to narrow with anger and growl beneath his breath. The chief himself walked forward and folded his arms inside his sleeves, only to pull out a notice from it. He held it up so Rei could read it and he explained. "There's going to be a royal ball that only the richest and most etiquette royal families can attend. It's going to be held in Mamono City at the palace. Prince and Princess Suji are throwing the ball as an anniversary of the first day when the city was built. Queen Suji's husband died on the day the city was made as well, so it's also in memory of the dead King. I plan on attending as a hired bodyguard and since you're a part of a royal family yourself, you could easily participate. Obsidian will be joining as well, seeing that he is a part of a wealthy family of high status. Lord Sesshomaru will be given an invitation no doubt, in the morning. I received this invitation from the higher-ups who want lady Y/N. So, if he's given an invitation, he will most likely take a few of his followers with him for personal reasons. His mother will be there as well, mostly because she's close to the Queen," Hanai explained and lowered the invitation.

"You must prepare, have your attire picked out by tomorrow and I will do the same. We must...be cautious. We will give lady Y/N to the higher-ups by rendering her unconscious and secretly stashing her into an unused guest room, then, we will leave," After explaining that, only one thought came to Rei's mind...

Nago hummed in thought and tapped his chin, with a couple of nods, and understood what he was told. His red eyes peered deeply into the other pair, before turning back to blue. "Of course. That sounds like it'd work. However, I do have something in mind," he began, seeing Hanai squint his red eyes curiously. "I would like to be the one to escort her to the guest room. I could ask her to do a favor for me and to follow me because I would need assistance with something. Or, perhaps, if she isn't dressed before the ball, I could help prepare her for lord Sesshomaru. So that he wouldn't need to-" before he could finish, Yogu cut him off.

"No, just escort her to the guest room and knock her out... Lord Sesshomaru will find suspicion in your request to help her dress or find something for her to wear. Especially since you're but a stranger to his lordship," Yogu spoke up, shifted his weight a bit, and continued. "Go, now. I'll inform the higher-ups about this. Not to mention..." he paused for a moment then continued. "The message scroll I was told to give the lordship, I'm curious. Maybe I should tell the higher-ups about this mysterious message owner. Anyone who interferes with our plans, we must get rid of. Whoever owns that message, lives in Mamono city and has a bit of the same scent as lady Y/N. I'll see what they have to say about it..." Yogu sighed and closed his red eyes.

"Very well. I'll be waiting for a message from you when it's time," Nago replied, giving Hanai a smirk, and turned around to leave. He did as before, he left using the same bubbly technique. Yogu chuckled to himself and shook his head, recalling the images of the young woman from the future and her beautiful alien e/c eyes. It's a shame, really... She's needed for such a dark task, someone as beautiful as her must be kept out of harm's way so as to not taint her enchanting features. I truly did feel attracted to her, that certainly was no lie... he mentally spoke and turned around, leaving into a room to the side.

~~~Elsewhere~~~

It was night time and Y/N yawned so loud, it echoed throughout the sky. Wow, I can't believe an assassin tried to kidnap me...dead OR alive. she said in her mind as she stared up at the sparkling moon and twinkling stars. Crickets sounded off in the air and soft rippling water nearby filled her ears. She smiled faintly at the gentle atmosphere and took in a relaxed deep breath.

She was sitting on top of one of those two large rocks in front of the water where she and Rin had bathed. Everyone was in bed, Jaken was asleep in the guest room that WASN'T the one Rin slept in earlier, but the one that was suited for three people; him, Rin, and Asashi slept in that guest room. Y/N had no idea where Sesshomaru was... Her guess was that he was back up on top of the building looking out for any possible dangers. She sighed blissfully, feeling the crisp and cool night air, brush through her hair and against her skin.

"Difficulty sleeping...?" A deep voice resonated through her ears and she blinked, before looking over her shoulder. There she saw Sesshomaru walking over to the water and kneeling down before it. He cupped his hand and filled it with water, watching it trickle down it with thoughts swarming his mind.

"You could say that. After that assassin, I might have nightmares of people kidnapping me for Pete's sake..." she frowned and closed her eyes. Y/N leaned back more and held herself up with her hands behind her, letting her hair dangle over the rocky surface. "I seriously had him though. His crotch was vulnerable to my knee...!" she pouted with her eyes closed and grumbled playfully.

"No... You wouldn't have..." Sesshi simply answered and stood up. He acted like he was checking the water for anything dangerous. His golden eyes looked up at her and took notice of the lunar beauty she had. The moon rays casting down upon her as though the moon was reaching out to her in awe. No emotion on his face at all, yet he was captivated by her moonlit beauty and that instantly reminded him of the moment in the forest, when he looked down staring into her eyes.

Faint flushes dusted his cheeks before he looked down at the water, easily keeping himself composed. "Be wary of Obsidian... I feel he plans on doing something rather inappropriate to you..." That was all he said, before appearing on top of the large rock next to her. He sat down crosslegged and stuffed his arms in his sleeves.

"Inappropriate...? Look, I know he's a friggin' pervert and a brat with his teasing, but I doubt he'd go as far as-" before she could finish, Sesshomaru over spoke her with his own words.

"He can smell you...L/N... You're in heat, that is crucial to all of us demons... Bat demons, most dog demons, and spider demons are especially difficult to keep themselves under control when it comes to that..." he said in his lowered, nearly monotonous voice then closed his eyes and heard her groan out of annoyance.

"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! WHY?! ON TOP OF THAT, WHY DO YOU SAY IT AS IN HEAT WHEN IT'S JUST A DAMN PERIOD?!" she exclaimed a bit too loudly and made Sesshi's eyes twitched slightly. Y/N laid down on her back and groaned again, curled up on to her side opposite of him all the while. "Speaking of which... I knew you were ignoring me earlier,~" she smirked and could feel a pair of golden eyes on her backside. He was indeed staring at her, albeit rather emotionless, he had a hidden smirk that was hard to see through the darkness. "Oh by the way... There are spider demons?" she blinked with wide eyes, as she recalled the mistake she made about Sebastian before. I swear if I meet a Feudal Era Japanese version of Sebastian and Claude, I'm gonna scream... she sweatdropped and stated in her mind, only until a smirk formed. I'd nickname them Claude and Sebs, ha!~ She laughed at her own joke in her mind and giggled to herself.

"Yes... They are greedy creatures who only wish to entrap their prey among their webs and eat them..." Sesshi simply put and kept his golden eyes at her backside. As quietly as possible, he sneaked his way over to her backside and started to silently sniff her; inching closer and closer to her neck from temptation.

"OH, THAT'S RIGHT!" Y/N bolted up with a fist in the air, giggling to herself. It was hysterical... Sesshomaru was frozen in place after she sat up and he closed his eyes, finding the moment rather awkward. He kept his composure and sat back up again, those faint flushes still present. "You think you can teach me a few things about demons that I don't know about yet?! It'd be handy if I end up in a situation that I can't get out of... Like that assassin moment... Thanks for that, by the way..." Y/N asked, before trailing off and looking away, blushing.

Sesshi nearly lost to himself during that moment, if she hadn't bolted up like that. It was so awkward but, at least he didn't lose control...in which, he almost had. "Go to sleep..." That was all he said in return, before standing up. He watched her beautiful alien eyes, which glistened and were complemented by the moon, then eyed him curiously. He vanished from sight and appeared on top of the house again, sitting down so he could sleep the night away.

"So... I take that as a no? Damn, that's not fair, now," she grumbled and stood up, before making her way down the rock. Quickly she sprinted into the house and closed the doors that led out into the garden. It took her a little bit to climb her way up and once she got into the guest room, she smiled at the sight. Rin was snuggling Asashi from behind on a futon, Jaken was out like a light on the floor and another futon was next to him. There were two empty futons, so she picked the one furthest away from the window and snuggled into the blankets...with a big, goofy smile on her lips. "That was a nice small chat, aside from what the in heat part...~" she mumbled to herself before passing out into slumber.
