Introducing The Man
Play the song as you read 😊
Wolfie Carson Hadrian was a 23yr old well-known Solicitor at one of England's most popular Law firms, Garroway Law Solicitors.
His first stint into the spotlight was during a high profile case where he had been involved in the prosecution of a well-known Celebrity who had been accused of drugging and raping Omega females.
For years, the man had done this without any persecution as he had had enough money to keep everything under wraps.
This was one of the instances where the Government had failed in their monitoring of Omegas. It forever remained a black stain on their image as more than 30 Omegas had been drugged and raped by this man.
One of said Omegas had hired Wolfie to build a case against the man and let's just say that it hadn't been a cake walk as he had done his best to cover his tracks. In the end, he had came across a damning piece of evidence which had turned the tide in their favour and after that, it had been easy to get the man hanged for his crimes.
It was also during the five month long trial that other victims had come forward and shared their traumatic experiences with him which also helped to make his case even stronger.
It also didn't help that the man had sent other Alphas at him to silence him. Unfortunately for them, he wasn't just any of the idiotic Alphas walking the street wearing khakis and crocs.
When he fought, he fought to kill and so far, he had broken at least three of his would be killers' necks before torturing the fourth for information on who had hired him.
From then, it was like all the evidence needed to convict the man suddenly came out of hiding and was just waiting for him to discover them.
Now that was one of his most precious memories.
He had been in the front of the crowd when the man was hanged and his body burned for his crimes.
If it was one thing that this Government was good for was that they didn't play around with rape, especially one done on such a large scale over a twenty year period.
That case catapulted Wolfie in the spotlight along with the Law firm.
Not to say that he was struggling before, but he wasn't as successful as he was now. He had just been out of Uni when the case landed on his lap because he had been charging a lower rate than his colleagues.
It was a good thing too as now, he was making money in the six figures and he had been given early promotions since more and more high profile cases came his way.
The second high profile case which landed on his lap was another Celebrity stint, but this time, this one was about another Alpha infecting both Omega and Beta females with HIV/AIDS.
Normally such diseases wouldn't make a difference to their species but apparently the guy had been a human who had been turned into a Werewolf - which can only happen on a full moon - and he had been carrying the disease before being turned so it had mutated to survive inside his now transformed body and walla! You have a genetically stronger version of HIV/AIDS.
To tell the honest truth, this guy was one of the reasons why the Government had tightened their laws on their species interacting with Humans. Any Werewolf caught turning Humans were immediately given the death sentence.
It would seem as if every crime merited the death sentence but that wasn't true. Only crimes such as rape, pedophilia, Human turning and the likes got the death sentence. Petty crimes such as stealing and whatever just got your arse thrown into jail.
Wolfie didn't take on useless shit like that; he was a Shark and Sharks don't waste time eating shit that wouldn't give them fulfillment.
He was in the big leagues now and his cases should reflect that.
Unfortunately, he had managed to infect a total of 13 Omegas and Betas, 10 of which had passed because they had probably been unaware of the disease while the other three had gone to their monthly checkups when the doctor discovered the disease spreading throughout their body.
Funnily enough, the man showed no outward signs of being sick like the three surviving victims and Doctors had theorized that because he was the carrier and the fact that the mutation had started in his body, he had become immune to the effects.
That case had caused such a huge scandal and the amount of creatures going to the Doctors for check-ups had tripled within a months time.
The three surviving victims had been immediately hospitalised and both Doctors and Scientists had immediately began working on a cure.
Unfortunately, one of the victims, a sweet Beta lady had died during the trials just as the Doctors managed to successfully Engineer Antibodies to fight off the virus.
Thankfully it had worked and both the Omega and Beta were living happy lives now, but before that, they had hired Wolfie to build a case against the Celebrity which to be honest, hadn't taken more than a month for verdict to be reached.
The man had been a Human turned Werewolf and he had been knowingly infecting their Omegas and Betas, not to mention, everybody knew him and loved him.
Even his celebrity status hadn't saved him from being burned alive in a sealed container.
That had been the most gruesome death ever committed in the 21st century.
Obviously the victims' identities had been kept hidden for fear of it jeopardising their futures but fortunately, there hadn't been any indication of the mutated virus surviving and the cure had been deemed a success.
That case had been a tear jerker and their entire population had mourned the lost of the eleven victims.
That case had also solidified the thought that they should stay the fuck away from Humans.
Well, that sure was a good deterrent, but the arsehole Government officials thought it smart to put the man's face on their future ad campaigns in order to deter people from Humans.
Of course, people outraged over it but it did its job and now, there was hardly any talk about them mingling with Humans again.
Wolfie didn't exactly look into the details, he had work to do.
Now that case had further catapulted him into the spotlight as some sort of bringer of Justice.
Bleh...
He was doing his job and he never once lost that air of Professionalism when dealing with cases like that.
Gosh, he really was living up to that Heartless persona he had been saddled with since he was a teenager.
But then again, if he got emotional over every case then he'd probably be in the Hospital right now, saddled with some fat arse Orderly stealing his food and battling depression.
Yeah... No.
Hmph... What a Rollercoaster ride.
Anyway, the third and final case which served to permanently keep him in the spotlight was about a another Celebrity, like God, aren't they tired of causing drama and ruining people's lives?
This celebrity was really something. This time, his victim was a Beta woman.
So apparently, everytime they had sex, he would insert a Human drug called cocaine into the Beta's vagina to intensify their pleasure without her knowledge. He had apparently been doing this for years and the only reason she found out was when she realised that no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get pregnant.
It was discovered by the Doctors that because of the exposure to cocaine for years, she was now unable to have children and it had also dulled the nerves in her vagina so she literally couldn't feel if a whole fist was pushed inside of her.
It was a freaking mess and just like usual, the public was outraged when the case hit the news and people began calling for the man's head.
Damn, this generation was really bloodthirsty weren't they?
So, that case didn't take that long and before he knew it, the man was serving life in prison with no chance of parole.
He escaped death just barely, but then again, Wolfie hadn't been out for blood or he would've had his neck snapped like a toothpick.
The Beta had had to go through therapy and take some medication just to be able to actually enjoy sex again. Unfortunately, there was no way to reverse any other damages done so she still couldn't become pregnant.
Not to say the she could fully enjoy sex, cause that wasn't it. She only had about a tenth of feeling back.
To this day, Wolfie wondered how she hadn't realised something was wrong for these few years but he left well enough alone. He wasn't going to be accused of victim blaming and lose his credibility.
It was none of his fucking business and he already did his job.
Present day, he had received a letter in the mail stating that he had been matched with an Omega residing in Henley-on-Thames.
Hmmm... To be honest, he hadn't focused much on finding a mate because of how hectic his job was.
Not to say he was adverse or anything, but it wasn't exactly important.
He could either accept or reject the match but to be completely honest, he didn't mind having a mate.
Some of these causes were exhausting as fuck and having someone at home who he didn't have to pay to pamper him sounded like a luxury.
The only reason why he was even considering this baloney was because he was tired of some of his Co-workers boasting about their mates and parading them around in front of his face.
He wasn't alone, puhleassseee.
He was a freaking catch and he was aware of that. But unfortunately, with the good came the bad and as such, he had gold digging Omegas and Betas throwing themselves at him.
He even remembered one instance where an extremely feminine Alpha threw himself at him. It was disconcerting to say the least and he had gotten away from that as fast as he could.
Yes, he happened to be of the stereotype that Alphas should be all masculine and dominating.
This was real life. Not everyone thought the same way and not everyone could be likeable.
Not to say that he was a total douche who was just ready for his perfect someone to enter his life to cause a complete overhaul and change him into a sweetheart, No.
You have to be realistic, he wasn't about to change for anybody even if his dick was getting wet everynight for a hundred years.
Sometimes, the personalities that you encounter in people were unchangeable.
He would always think that way and nothing could change that.
As he looked down at the provided picture of his Match, he couldn't help but smirk.
What a fine specimen.
No surgery whatsoever and oh so innocent.
Wolfie certainly wasn't going to complain as he read his file.
"Danny McArthur."
To be honest, Wolfie felt really bad for the kid. He was an extremely possessive man and that was something he couldn't change or tone down.
He had a week to get everything ready for the arrival of his mate and that was just enough time for him.
He hadn't been interested in dating before but hey, there as always exceptions to every rule.
As he continued staring at the picture, only one thought was at the forefront of his mind.
You don't even know what you're getting into, I will never let you go.
And that? That was a promise.
Hahaha! Fuck he sounded like a tasteless movie villain.
Chuckling once more, he placed the file and letter down and leaned back into his chair.
This was such an unexpected development.
He sighed, knowing that he would have to have a Collar custom made but luckily, all the Omega's measurements were in his file. From what he knew, the Matching Officials had commissioned a machine that could record everything that would've been done by hand back in the day, so it wasn't any surprise that the Omega's measurement were here.
He also needed to buy new clothing for him as they weren't allowed to bring the clothing they wore before to their Alpha's home.
Believe it or not it was all for the Omega's own good. Their entire wardrobe would carry the scent of their family which would serve to make the separation process more difficult than it should be.
Wolfie really wasn't up to having a crying Omega sleeping next to him at night unless it's because of his dick.
It was one of the requirements that were absolutely necessary in order for an Alpha/Omega pair to successfully bond as the bond to their family would weaken enough to allow the mate bond.
It was a complicated process made simple.
He released a heavy sigh at the fact that he was already making plans to incorporate another person in his life.
Damn, was he really that lon-
*Knock Knock*
He straightened immediately in his chair at the noise and without hesitation, picked the letter and the file up then stuffed them in the desk drawer.
He cleared his throat and straightened his tie. "Come in!"
The door opened seconds later and he couldn't help but roll his eyes at the smirk being sent his way.
"Don't you have work to do instead of bothering me ever five minutes?"
A low chuckle left the 'intruder' who approached his desk and got comfortable in the seat meant for potential clients.
"What can I say? I think that I have more rights than anyone else to intrude on whatever free time that you've managed to scrape up."
Wolfie groaned and sent him a glare.
The 'intruder' only grinned.
"I bet you're calling me an intruder now in your head, can't you be more original?"
"Bugger off."
"You know you love me."
The fool in front of him was his work out buddy turned Colleague turned best friend Jackson Whittaker, 23 Yr old Alpha.
Unlike Wolfie who became famous because of his hard work, Jackson was the Heir to be major Oil Tycoon who got him this job as a Solicitor on favour from Oliver Garroway, the founder of the firm.
Not to say that Jackson didn't work hard cause he did, but he didn't start from the bottom up.
Wolfie wasn't jealous of his privileges nor did he care. Jackson could be the son of the President and he still wouldn't suck up to him.
"Now what the fuck do you want?" He looked at Jackson in exasperation, rolling his eyes in amusement when he leaned forward, a sly grin in his face.
"So... I heard from the sexy Omega in the mail room that you received a thick envelope with the stamp of the Species Matching Agency on it. Care to spill the deets?"
Wolfie shook his head with a sigh. "Damn, Jackson."
"What? I think that I have right to know."
The guy had no shame at all, not to mention, Wolfie doubted that he could ever feel embarrassed.
He had walked in on the guy once, butt arse naked and pounding into some poor Beta male who had clawed up his back real good. Both him and the Beta had been soaked in 'pussy' juice and said Beta had been crying from the pounding.
Wolfie wanted to wash his eyes with bleach after that.
What made it worse was that afterwards, he had ran into the same Beta a couple days after in the office as he was one of the other Solicitors' Secretary.
Wolfie had happily walked into Jackson's office and wrapped his hands around his neck.
He was willing to commit murder on the arsehole while said arsehole was laughing and choking from the pressure.
He didn't exactly care about assault charges, he was a Solicitor for fucks sake and one of the best.
Jackson just laughed when the founder asked him if he wanted to press charges.
His words?
"It's no big deal, sir. If I had walked in on the same scene then I'd have probably done the same to him while he was mid-thrust."
That comment left the founder confused so he had asked Jackson to explain further and explain he did.
During the entire thing, all Wolfie could think was that Mr. Garroway deserved it. He had brought it on himself so Wolfie took pleasure in seeing his horrified face during Jackson's explanation.
Before the explanation could finish, he had high-tailed it out of there like the Hounds of Hell were on his arse.
Wolfie had honestly never been so amused in his life.
Back to the present, Jackson was looking at him, his eyes narrowed as he waited for him to say something, lie probably.
Wolfie doesn't lie, he was a Solicitor for fucks sake. He just bended the fuck out of it.
"Not that it's rally any of your business but apparently I've been matched with some 17yr Omega from Henley-on-Thames. 98.9% match, as close to perfect as they can get."
Jackson's eyebrows disappeared into his hairline and a dirty smirk creeped across his face.
"Why, you dirty old man. I shoukd persecute you for being a Pedophile."
The glare that Wolfie sent his way was positively scorching.
"I'm obviously going to wait until he's Eighteen, you fucker." He honestly hated Jackson sometimes.
"Hmmm mm. Let me see the picture." He stretched his hand over and made a come hither motion with his entire hand. "Come on, don't be stingy."
Wolfie rolled his eyes but opened the drawer and pulled the file with Danny's information out; he handed the picture over to the nosey bastard, just the picture.
The information within the file were for his eyes alone, he was just that possessive.
Not to mention, it didn't sit well with him that those Officials had seen this information even though they needed it to Match them up.
They hadn't even met yet and he was already feeling possessive of Danny.
"Hmmm, he looks so innocent. I wouldn't mind pounding that cunt."
Wolfie's attention snapped back to where Jackson was practically drooling on the picture and he pulled it out of his hand with a low growl.
Jackson only grinned at him, not at all scared that Wolfie's eyes were glowing red.
"What? Sharing is caring."
"Well I don't fucking care!" He snapped, putting the picture back in the file before hiding it in his drawer once more. "You better snap the fuck out of it before I snap your neck for looking at my Omega."
Jackson shrugged and reached over, patting him on his shoulder.
This guy had absolutely no preservations at all.
Wolfie had to always put a stopper on his blood lust before he really snapped Jackson's neck, but he didn't want some Old fart Tycoon riding his arse till he went to his grave and even then, he doubted that Whittaker Senior would let him roll in his grave in peace.
"Calm down, man. I'm not Suicidal."
Oh really? Could've fooled him.
"Whatever." He calmed down and slouched back in his chair. "Other than being a nosey Parker, what do you want?"
He stated at Wolfie blankly for a couple of seconds before his eyes light up in remembrance. "Oh yeah. So, I have too much cases on my schedule and I would like for you to take one off my hands for me. You can take full credit and the payment, I just want a breather."
Wolfie frowned at that. Not to say that he didn't represent a diverse amount of clientele but Jackson mainly dealt with Domestic Abuse and the odd murder cases.
"Depends on what type of case. You know I don't deal with Domestic Abuse cases."
The reason that he didn't deal with them was that they were usually cut and dry. There wasn't any interesting things being done like snooping in people's business to dig up their most darkest or embarrassing secrets to use against them. He loved the thrill of completely destroying someone's defense until they were nothing more than a shell of themselves... Yeah, it just wouldn't work.
Jackson rolled his eyes at him and sat back. "Don't worry, it's not. It's actually about a patient dying while under Anesthesia during cosmetic surgery. The patient's family is suing for wrongful death."
Wolfie sighed softly. "I'm sorry, but do I look like I have the time to drive up and down to issue court letters to people? Give it to someone else. Since when do you take on cases like this?"
Jackson sighed softly at gave him a pointed look. "I usually don't but this is a favour for a family friend."
"Celebrity then." Wolfie honestly doubted that Jackson had any friends that weren't celebrities or extremely wealthy.
He just shrugged.
"What's the name?" He was really curious. Who knows, he might've seen their death in the news.
"Oh, it's..."
