A Day In The Life Of...

Play the song as you read 😊

One week later

Things were starting to normalize as Danny began regularly cooking, cleaning etc. They had a week left before both of their families were coming for a visit along with Wolfie's friend Jackson and someone named Arlo.

He had already received the deliveries from Tesco and Morrisons so he didn't have to worry about there not being enough food to cook. It also helped that Wolfie had a deep freeze so that he didn't have to try and stuff everything in the freezer.

He doubted that everything would fit no matter how big the fridge was.

He had even bought chicken and orange juice even though he was allergic to both. He would simply eat his fish and drink something else as a dinner wouldn't be complete without some form of meat.

He bought a lot of tropically mixed juices such as Mango, passionfruit, Lime, Pineapple etc.

Just to get everything moving, he began cooking and baking a lot, making an array of desserts and even baking pies since Wolfie had only eaten Macaroni pie. He had made Irish potato pies, corn pies, yam pies etc just so he could start broadening the Alphas' palette.

The corn pies were a bit difficult since the British didn't have creamed corn but he had managed to improvise as usual.

The recipe was from his Grandparents' Parents who were from the Caribbean where they were used to baking it with creamed corn.

Right now, he had just finished watching The Meg while Wolfie was just finishing his lunch and he had to say that the film was rather underwhelming. With all the billboard ads and commercials, he had expected... well... more.

One movie he really wanted to watch was Mr. Glass with Samuel L. Jackson but the only showing was a trailer.

"Hmmm... This is really delicious, babe." Wolfie ate the last of the potato salad and emptied the glass of Mango juice with a low belch, a look of satisfaction on his face. "I have never eaten potato salad this good before."

Danny grinned even as he got up from his seat and began clearing away Wolfie's eating utensils. "That just goes to show that it was about time you had some chocolate in your life."

Wolfie raised an eyebrow, snorting in amusement at his words. "Hey, I'll have you know that there are some pretty amazing Caucasian chefs."

Danny just shrugged.

"Not saying that there isn't, but if you don't even know what yam pie is then that just shows that you need to broaden your horizons more. Hell, my Mum is Caucasian and she's an excellent cook but my dad broadened her horizons and now she's even making stuff Like Roti, Pelau that isn't lightly colored and even soup that has ingredients like Plaintains, bananas, potatoes, ochre, dumplings etc in it. Before, she simply made chicken broth and Lobster for me. It gets boring after a while, I'll tell you."

After he finished speaking, Wolfie had a confused look on his face. "Why would you add banana to soup, that's disgusting." He sent Danny a look of disgust before continuing. "Not to mention, what is a Plantain, Roti or Ochre? I know what Pelau is at least but not those three."

Danny only snorted and rolled his eyes even as he began washing the dishes; he wasn't much of a fan of dishwashers. "Wolfie, you didn't even know what a yam was until I showed you and made the pie, I really didn't expect you to know what an Ochre is." He paused in his washing as a thought crossed his mind. "You know, I should see if I can get Soursop and Linseed so that I can make some punch for you. My Caribbean Great-Grandparents taught me a lot about what they're accustomed to cooking and whatnot so I learned how to do them and my family loves it. I'm sure that you'll feel the same.

Oh and before I forget, I'm not talking about ripe banana. I'm talking about the green banana which is something that you can add to soup. Plaintain is like the banana and sometimes they can look similar but unlike the green banana, the Plaintains turns yellow while boiled and the green banana turns brown. The Plaintains also makes your soup sweet and God, is it tasty like that. You can even boil the Plaintain separate and add butter to it afterwards. Keep in mind that there are two kinds of Plaintain, green and ripe. You can only fry the green one while the ripe one can be fried and boiled."

"Okay..." Wolfie looked curious at his words and a glint entered his eyes. "Tell you what, everything that you just mentioned, I want you to include it in the dinner next week for our families. All your Caribbean styled foods, just cook them. Just go crazy, I just know that I won't regret having you do that since you have yet to cook something disgusting for me."

Danny grinned as he placed the utensils and eating ware on a rack to dry. "I should warn you that both the Ochre and Linseed are slimy. I don't think that I will include them but I'll make them for you to taste so that I'll know whether to continuing using them."

Wolfie only shrugged. "You know best, I'm not gonna doubt your words." He got up from around the table, grabbing his IPhone X off the table and stuffing it in his shirt pocket.

Danny only rolled his eyes, his own Samsung Android S9 practically burning a hole in his jeans. Wolfie had tried to switch him from Samsung to IPhone but he wasn't interested.

Some people liked Android and some likes IOS, you can't just change someone's mind because you preferred one over the other.

The IPhone X that Wolfie had bought him would be collecting dust - if there were any - in the living room cabinet along with those nonsensical ear buds which said Alpha had a habit of losing. He didn't even care as he had spares.

Apple was pretty smart.

Breaking out of his thoughts, he followed Wolfie into the living room and sat down on the couch, a pleased sigh escaping his lips.

He could finally relax.

Wolfie turned the tele on, switching the channel when he saw that it was on Love Island and left it on CSI Miami.

They both loved cop shows... Well, not all of them.

Danny stopped watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit along with Law and Order: Criminal Intent... One word, boring.

Not even bothering to watch Wolfe being accosted by Calleigh about his gambling, Wolfie immediately pulled his phone out of his pocket and unlocked it.

Danny rolled his eyes and grabbed the remote.

"I'm watching that you know," Wolfie interjected even as his eyes stayed fixed on his phone screen.

Danny snorted and proceeded to turn the volume up. "I'm sure that you were." He usually read on his phone, but right now, he just felt like watching some Good old fashioned tele.

"What're we gonna do later? I don't want to sit around watching the tele all day." He moved closer to Wolfie, resting his head on the Alpha's shoulder, his eyes zooming in on his phone screen where he was checking the news.

"So happy I'm not from the U.S," he muttered softly, wrapping an arm around Danny's shoulder.

A/N: No offense to anyone! It's the News!

"Uhhh... Why not order your clothing online? I forgot to order your Collar and I need it before my parents come and visit. They won't approve you not wearing one more than a month after we Mated and I'd feel more comfortable with you wearing it." Fuck, he couldn't believe that he had forgotten about getting Danny's collar for so long. Mated Omegas and Betas should always wear a collar for their protection and as a show of ownership.

It wasn't to show them as some sort of property, mainly to broadcast to others that the particular Omega or Beta was off the market.

"Okay... I'm starting to get a bit tired of wearing the same clothing everyweek. Hey... Can I also buy my own Laptop?"

Wolfie just shrugged, momentarily taking his eyes off his phone screen. "Whatever you want, babe."

Danny just grinned.

Ohhh the possibilities of having unrestricted access. Not to say that he didn't have his own money but he didn't have a bank card yet. His parents had preferred them using their cards so that they could monitor their spendings. Not to mention, his money was in the bank and his Mum had his--oh wait! She probably placed his bank book in the bag which he brought here. He hadn't even checked it yet.

He had already chosen an Online School to continue his studies and he would start next week Monday. Damn... He needed to get the necessary books to study, but then again, he could probably buy them in Ebook form.

Books were always more interesting in Electronic form than hard copy.

"But after that. What else is there to do?" He looked up at Wolfie whose attention was captured by his phone screen once more.

The Alpha snorted. "Oh, believe me when I say that your attention would be focused entirely on choosing your wardrobe. Shopping online isn't just something you can do in 30 minutes."

Danny rolled his eyes in amusement and just snuggled up closer to him, turning his attention back on the tele.

He couldn't exactly deny that he had always loved windowshopping online for hours. Now that he had a credit card that he can use no matter the amount, he was gonna purchase everything that he had wanted which his parents always refused.

They were rich but didn't spend money unnecessarily.

Okay... He would just stay cuddled up to Wolfie for a while longer before he began wardrobe shopping.

Wolfie buried his nose in Danny's hair as he looked at the files sent to him by his Secretary.

New cases for when he returned to work.

At least it wasn't too bad, but then again, this month still had three more weeks left and one never knows what might happen. At the moment, he had 13 cases, 7 of which were high profile.

He just needed to print the files and get to work so that he wouldn't be behind when he went back to work.

He also needed to order Danny's collar from the website for Alphas and boy would it cost a pretty penny. Collars were pretty expensive because you needed to add your family crest to the front. Of course there were knockoffs but getting those were a waste of time because they didn't last very long and were easily removable because the cheap locking system in it could be picked by anything.

The better quality collars were made with custom lock and key systems or they had a finger print scanner.

He would be purchasing the one with a finger print scanner, not to mention, he was still waiting for their Engagement and Wedding rings to arrive.

He had already gotten all of Danny's measurements in the file from the Agency and he had ordered the current clothing Danny was wearing along with the rings.

The only thing that he failed to order was the Collar and he would start that once Danny began ordering more clothes on his other laptop.

"Hey, Wolfie?"

Danny's voice broke him out of his thoughts. "Hmm?"

"What are you parents like?" He asked, pulling away from Wolfie so that they could look into each other's eyes. "I really don't want to embarrass myself around them."

His eyebrows furrowed as he looked for the correct word to describe his parents. Hell, he hardly visited them because they were the most stuck up set of people he had ever met. They were the sort to look down on others because of social statuses and that was the reason why he left home rather early, working to put himself through University so that he didn't have to ask them for any money.

He does talk to them, but they weren't as close as families should be. The only reason why he was even inviting them next week is because he wanted Danny to meet them at least onceonce. .

He hoped that everything went okay and if they were even the slightest bit Racist against Danny, he would kick them the fuck out of his life. Family or not, he would not allow anyone to ever disrespect his Mate like that.

Even though Blood was thicker than water, it doesn't always count towards much.

"They are... Particular. They're not the kind of people that I'd like to associate myself with but I want you to meet them at least once. I'm telling you right now that if they are in any way disrespectful, I want you to stick up for yourself and tell me because I won't allow anyone to treat you that way in our own home, okay?"

"But they're your parents." Now, Danny wasn't exactly a stranger to ignorant people, but it would be a bit weird defending himself against Wolfie's parents.

Wolfie snorted and pulled him back against his side. "It doesn't matter, you're my Mate and I would do anything to protect you. If anyone ever disrespects you, you stand up for yourself and once I find out, I'll deal with them. If my parents know what's good for them, they wouldn't even make the mistake of making me angry or I'll sue them for every single pound they have."

Danny smiled against his side and wrapped his arms around him. "Thank you, but I don't think that I'll have to worry as my Family would also be here. They would never let anyone look down on us and I know that you'll also look out for us." He pressed a quick kiss on Wolfie's lips.

Wolfie smiled and connected their lips once more, his hand tangling itself in Danny's curls.

This Omega didn't even understand just how far he'll go to protect him, but let his parents even look at Danny the wrong way and then they'll see first hand just how he can easily ruin someone's life.

👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬👬

Danny grinned as he mass ordered everything that's been gathering dust in his shopping cart; he had already ordered his laptop which was the Asus Republic of Gamers so that he could play his games without worrying about storage. Games like the Sims needed high performance laptops to work properly.

He was still browsing the catalogs on the website for Omegas.

Yeah... Each Gender had their own websites to order from. The reason why he couldn't order anything online is because he hadn't had his Omega Identification number yet. The most he could've done was to add items to the cart but without his Omega I.D, he couldn't create an account which would transfer him to the Omega server.

Every item had their own designs for each gender so even if you still hadn't presented and added something to the cart, when you had your Species I.D you would just get directed to the correct website where the closest match to the item you had carted would be found for your particular Gender.

A few of the stuff that Danny had carted were only for Betas and Alphas so he had had to choose something else.

To be completely honest, he had been eyeing the lingerie section for a while but eventually decided that it wasn't for him.

He wasn't much of a cross dresser even if he was going to be addressed with feminine pronouns by others.

Everyone was different so he wasn't going to bash on crossdressers because some of them looked absolutely dazzling in dresses and the like.

Another thing that he was staying away from is makeup. He would much rather take good care of his skin so that he had no need to cover anything up. So far, it was working great.

Just look at his skin.

He was doing all the right things.

He continued adding items to the cart, buying shoes, suspenders, belts etc so that he didn't have to keep wearing some of those tight clothing Wolfie had bought him.

They left nothing at all to the imagination.

After he finished, he would probably take a small nap since he didn't have to cook dinner for Wolfie. There was food left over from lunch and the Alpha had said that he had wanted to eat the rest of the pies for dinner.

It was a good thing that he had cooked enough but he needed to purchase more cheese since Wolfie had him baking pies everyday since he introduced him to different varieties than Macaroni.

He wasn't annoyed with it, he really loved cooking and baking. Not to mention, he was going to make Cheesecake tomorrow since Wolfie's Chocolate and Vanilla cake was almost finished.

That Alpha was really lucky for their high Metabolism or he would probably be spouting a gut by now. Wolfie had sent some of the cookies, brownies and cake to his friend Jackson who had practically begged to taste Danny's baking.

He had of course ended up loving them and had begged Wolfie to ask Danny if he could make a strawberry Cheesecake for him for when he came to dinner.

He planned on making a variety of deserts for everyone to take home because he hadn't wanted to keep everyone long since his family had to catch the train from Reading to Marylebone Train station where Wolfie would have someone bring them to their home.

Damn, he couldn't wait to see his family. Video calls just weren't the same.

He released a sigh of aggravation when he saw that the shoe that he had wanted to purchase was already out of stock.

"Fuck that."

He was gonna pretend like he wasn't going to come back and buy it when they eventually restocked it.

Hmmm... That headband looked awesome. It would help with keeping his curls off his forehead because pimples there were hard to get rid of.

Ugh.

Maintaining Clear, acne free skin was a bitch.
