>LONGEST CHAPTER WARNING<

"Ugh... where...?" Aubrey rubbed her legs, having landed on them.

"Guys...? Is everyone there?" Kel blinked, getting up.

"I... I'm here." Basil whispered, still feeling the aftermath of the fall.

"That hurt so bad..." Hero held his head.

"Welcome, everyone."

Everyone turns to look at the being in front of them. It's hard to make out, due to the background of the area, but...

"Stranger! You're here!" Kel wobbled up to his feet.

"Couldn't you have made Black Space be a 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 more accessible??" Aubrey scolds Stranger, but he doesn't respond to her.

"You're... not evil, are you?" Basil got up, looking at Stranger with weary, especially after the realization of Mari.

"... so you've figured out." He looks at the floor, his bright white eyes glued to the floor.

"Figured out what?" Hero asks, still lost.

"That Mari is a bitch??" She crosses her arms.

"... no time. You need to go through the eighteen rooms, before Omori takes control."

"Eighteen rooms?" Kel looks around, "Those doors?" He points to the many black doors surrounding them.

"Yes. It would be a time saver to split up, but it's dangerous here, so I suggest you stay together.

Find the Keys, and once you have them all, a red door should open up.

Good luck, and remember...

this is all just a dream." Then Stranger fades away.

"That was actually more helpful than I thought it was gonna be." Aubrey put her hands on her hips.

"So, which one first...?" Basil mumbled, looking around.

"Let's just pick one. By the looks of it, we'll be going through all of them." Hero walked to the nearest one, opening it.

>STATIC WORLD<

He gasped immediately after.

"What???" Kel ran up to him, peering over his shoulder, "... oh my god."

"Is it that bad??" Aubrey and a silent Basil follow them as they walk into the first door.

It shuts behind them, disappearing.

"Hey, where did it go?!?" Kel waves his hands around where it used to be.

"I... I don't know if I can do this..." Basil whimpered, holding his mouth.

"Hey..! Cheer up everyone! Just... eighteen of these..." Hero's tone slowly crumbles, not being able to think of a single positive thing for this situation.

They all look around, and it's all black and white static, with multiple habitants and objects lying everywhere.

Aubrey swallows, "This is fucking freaky.... Woah!! Is that a whale?? Is it dead??" She dashes up to the realistic blueish whale, who had goo spilling out of its mouth and its eyes gouged out.

"Let's... find the Keys and get out of here." Hero pulls Aubrey away, signaling her to move.

They walk through black liquid, and find some other strange and creepy things.

"Are those... body parts??" Basil squeezes his sweater.

...

"That's Omori, right? Why is he all... drippy..." Kel sticks his tongue out to the melting Omori.

...

"Ah! Look, guys! A Key!! It's under that curtain window!!"

They all sprint up to the key, picking it up.

"Okay... now how do we get out?"

Suddenly, a red hand bombards them, making everything go white.

"Oh... we're back? That was easy." Aubrey sniffs in pride, but Kel sighs, "I don't think all of those are going to be that simple, Aubrey..."

"Let's do the next one."

And so they do.

>SUBCONSCIOUS SPILL<

"Ouch!! My eyes!!" Kel whines, covering his eyes with his sleeve.

This time, the area was a colorful array of colors, but they were bright and it seemingly gave a burning sensation when you stared at it for long enough.

"Dude! Please just find the key!!" Aubrey pleaded, walking forward with her eyes squinted.

"You are far away from home." Multiple beings spoke, including to a picture frame of Omori, to a white creature on the ground, and you can't forget the girl in the bed.

"I know we're far away! Jeez, do these guys ever shut up??" She hissed, already on edge.

They find the Key near a cat, who kept rambling the same phrase over and over again, "what to ask me a question want to ask me a question want to ask me a question"

"Woah, we're just gonna..." Aubrey snatches the Key from it, tip toeing away and to a red hand.

>LOOPING BLACK FIELD<

   "It's so dark..." Basil takes out Aubrey's lighter, and she pulls out the matchbox.

   "Woah! Are those ghosts??" Kel runs up to a scribble.

   "D o y o u w a n t t o d i e . . . ?" It's cute demeanor makes it cryptic, and eerie.

   "Ooookay, let's not." Aubrey pulls on his hoodie.

  Needless to say, they find the Key and quickly leave.

   >THE NEIGHBORHOOD<

   "Ohh... pleasant." Aubrey looks at all the houses around.

   Hero goes up to one and pulls on the handle to the front door, but it's locked.

   "I assume the rest are the same... look." Basil points to the Key in the distance.

   "Will all of these be this easy to find?" Aubrey grabbed the Key off the ground, "I mean, it's still fucking terrifying."

   The red hands envelope them before anyone gives her an answer.

   >FOREST OF STUMPS<

   Everyone goes silent to the view.

   A bunch of tree stumps line the walkway.

   They see the Key at the very end, and as they're walking up to it, Something appears behind them.

   "SHIT!!... wait. It's not doing anything." Kel circles it, and it just stares at him with it's eye.

   "Yeah... it's just... following us..." Basil takes a step forward, and the Something moves an inch too.

   " s u n n y... i ... i l o v e y o u . . ." It mutters, It's voice surprisingly similar to Mari's.

   "That's..." Hero picks up the Key, looking back at it, "really messed up..."

   "Yeah, this whole place is. I just can't imagine..." Kel peaks over the hole in the ground, not daring to go near it.

   "Can we go...?" Basil whispers, uncomfortable.

   >CAT DISSECTION<

   "Uhm."

    The group stands there, speechless.

   There is a cat butler, and in front of the butler, lies a table, with Mewo strapped down on it, with dissection tools next to her.

"What the fuck...?" Aubrey chokes out, probably about to cry.

"Mewo had been... v e r y b a d." The cat butler says in a demonic manner, one that sends shivers down the spines of the four friends.

"I'm not doing that!!" Kel cries out.

"What he said!" Hero agrees, turning towards the butler, trying to talk with it.

Basil just stands there, stuck in another daze.

"If you don't wanna see your own blood, then, see the blood of a

poor

defenseless

animal." Basil says quietly, and to everyone's surprise.

   "What?!? Basil?!?! What do you mean???" Kel waves in front of his face, but his eyes are fixated on the cat.

   "Let me handle this." Basil shoos off Kel, walking to the table.

   "What the fuck is he doing??" Aubrey pokes Hero's shoulder to get his attention.

   Basil picks up the scalpel before anyone could react.

   "DON'T-"

   *STAB*

   The cat cries out, meowing and hissing as it struggles.

   Basil just takes the blade and slowly cuts down Mewo's stomach, guts and blood spilling out of the floor.

   *Me... Meow...* She thunks against the metallic table, now dead.

   "WHAT THE HELL!!!" Aubrey and the rest of the group was flabbergasted, unable to move.

   "What...." Hero gasps, his heart beating irregularly.

   Basil sticks a hand into the cat, digging around in the lifeless being until he pulls out a Key.

   "Oh my fucking god." Kel goes up to Basil, looking on the verge of tears.

   "Thanks... for taking one for the team, Basil?" His voice seemed unsure.

   " h e h ." Basil's bangs cover his red eyes, but you could still see a hidden smile.

   "You... good buddy?" Aubrey wobbles up to Basil, still shaking.

   "Hm? I'm Fine." He lifts his head, turning around to face everyone.

   "Okay... next room then..." Kel, suspicious of Basil, slowly inched his way over to the red hand.

   >WATERMELON PATH<

"Look, a flower crown." Basil picks it up, holding on to it.

"Wait... is that...?" Kel squints, looking into the distance.

"Basil?!?" Aubrey calls out to the figure, who had green hair and overalls, just causally standing there.

"Oh, hi! Who are you?" It even sounds like a younger version of Basil.

"Oh, I'm Hero, and this is Aubrey, Kel, and... er...." Hero's voice trails off, not knowing whether of not to disclose Basil's name, especially when there's literally another Basil right in front of them.

"I'm Sunny." Basil says, and everyone does a double take, but then they all realize what he's doing.

He's picking another name, especially one of the Dreamer.

Maybe the Headspace Basil will get a reaction out of it?

"Hi there, I guess you already know who I am! I've been stuck down here for a while... I'm just waiting for Omori." Headspace Basil frowns.

No reaction, apparently.

"Omori? Why are you-" Kel gets cut off by Hero, who taps at the invisible watch on his wrist.

"Huh?" HS (can I just abbreviate it to that?? I'm too lazy to write the whole thing out T^T) Basil cocks his head.

"Nothing. So, have you seen a Key around here?? We've been looking for them." Aubrey steps forward, and Basil gives HS Basil his flower crown.

"Oh! Thanks Sunny!" HS Basil beams, putting it on, "I have, actually! It should be somewhere in my watermelon patch!"

"Can you guide us there?" Hero asked politely, even if edged on time.

"Of course! Follow me!!" HS Basil starts to walk ahead, and the rest follows.

   ...

   "That's... a lot of watermelons..." They glance around, seeing just how many there were.

   "It should be here somewhere, hold on." HS Basil goes around, cracking open the watermelons with his fists.

   "I don't trust this." Basil picked at his nails.

   "Me neith-"

   *CRUNCH*

   "... JESUS CHRIST." Aubrey mouth hangs agape, taking a second to realize what happened.

   "Did he just... turn into a...?" Basil slowly goes up to the remains, and it's a pile of guts and blood, shaped like the infamous watermelon.

   "Uhh... what do we do now??" Kel steps on the mutilated HS Basil, "Who's gonna help us find the Key now??"

   Hero bashes his own fist against the watermelon, and a Key emerges from the juice.

   Without any second thought, they find the red hand and get the hell out of there, heading to the next.

   I literally wrote this whole chapter all in a day *cries* but I'm glad I got it out :,)
