"What the....." Aubrey murmured.

   The tone was completely different in this room, with a purple sky with white stars and objects scattered across the floor and counter.

   They stood there, speechless. Basil was the first to break the silence. He turned around and glanced around white space, and then around the new room.

   "Just.., expect weird stuff... okay?" He tried reassuring himself and the others, but it didn't really work.

"Uh, quick question... why is there objects in the sky??" Kel asked.

"Look! Isn't that the cat from the calendar back in the tree house?" Aubrey ignored him, and asked another question.

   "Yes and yes." Hero replied to both.

    "That doesn't even make any sense." Kel blurted out. Hero shrugged and grinned. "Expect weird stuff, isn't that what you said, Basil?" Basil nods.

"Actually... this room... it's all very familiar.... Wait! It has some of the same stuff as from the treehouse!!" Aubrey said.

"Oh yeah! The yellow cat... the tv...the playing cards..." Kel started.

"Look! Mr. Plantegg!! Oh, he looks like new!" Aubrey dashed over to the other side of the room and clasped it in her hand. "I'll hold on to this. Just in case." She holds in in her right hand.

Hero runs over to the picture frame, and stares at it intently. "O-oh...."

"What is it Hero?" Basil asks, and they all glance to him.

He's shaking, but he turns around the picture frame to face the group. "Mari."

The frame was one of Mari's school pictures, one in her long white dress that she loved to wear.

Everyone goes still, and Basil whispers under his breath, "A photo of someone familiar."

"Pardon?" Hero questions.

"N-nothing." Basil replies.

"Huh." Hero puts down the frame and looks around the room, trying to find things to check out.

"Uhm.... Guys? Why do I feel like its eyes are gazing and following us?" Kel points up at the yellow cat.

"Oh, yeah. That's not creepy at all." Aubrey said sarcastically.

They check out the rest out the room.
A bean on a plate. Kel giggles while Basil stares at it. "You just got beaned. Hehe."

The tv. Four kids on a dark highway with symmetrical lamp posts dimly lighting the road. The figures were too hard to make out on the glitchy tv.

A baseball and a bat. Aubrey grins at it.

A cat shaped hole. "Huh." Kel turns his head.
Hero checks all the cabinets, nothing.

"Eww!! Who left this egg on the ground?" Kel steps on it. "Gross Kel!" Aubrey immediately responds to the action.

The toaster. Basil jumped when the toast flew up.

A plush of a dolls head. A blender. A present. Hero couldn't get it open. A ordinary small house plant. Nothing special about it.

Lastly, they stood in front of the staircase. It lead into a white glow. There was a tiny snake on the 6th step. Basil went first, and crouched down in front of it. "Hello?"

The snake looked up.

"....Welcome to Headspace. Here's your allowance for today."

Suddenly Basil's pocket got heavy on his side, he curiously sticked his hand into it. He pulled out some clams, turned back to the group, and held them up.

"Interesting." Hero said wearily.

"Must be the currency for Headspace." Replied Kel.

"Yeah, no shit." Aubrey whispers.

Kel scoffed, and Basil turned back to the snake.

"Do you know where someone named Sunny is?" Basil asked. The snake is silent for a moment, then answers.

"You are not of this world. Finding the Dreamer will be no easy feat. Find the girl, she will tell you more."

"Girl..." Hero remembers the dream that he had.

"Can you tell us who this girl is?" Basil stated, trying to find out more answers.

".
.
.
You... the flower boy.... you're not safe here... you try and escape reality again and again... but you're just hiding from the inevitable."

Everyone freezes.

"What.?" Basil nervously chuckles.

   "Everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay..." (keeps repeating)

"Dude. You broke it." Kel pokes the snake, but it keeps on repeating the same phrase over again and doesn't stop.

"Don't blame him, all he did was ask a question." Hero snapped at Kel.

Basil was still. The words were etched in his brain by now, but why did it still feel so uncomfortable..?

"Hey." Hero put his hand on Basil's shoulder. "You okay?" Basil slowly nodded. He felt like he was forgetting something, but he couldn't place it. He shrugged it off.

"L....let's go." They take one final look at the snake and start up the steps.

"Ugh... what the fuck?? I can't see. You guys there??" Aubrey asks.

"This hole is too small." Kel replies.

"Ah, thank you, Captain Obvious." She giggles.

"Guys! I see light!" Basil calls out.

They climb through the hole, first Basil, the smallest of the group, and he touches grass. (NO WAY BASIL TOUCHING GRASS=O)

"Hey! There's grass and trees out here!" He sits down beside the stump, and waits for the rest to climb through. Next is Kel, then Hero, then Aubr-

"Ugh! I'm stuck!" Her buttocks are suck.

Kel immediately bursts out laughing.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!"

Aubrey's face gets red with anger and embarrassment. She tries to twist and turn, but it she wouldn't budge. "Shut the FUCK up and help me out here!!"

"Heh... haha.... Ah... no thank you." Kel replies. Hero rolls his eyes and grabs and pulls on Aubrey's wrists.

After a few tugs, she finally breaks free, still holding the plush in her hand.

Hero goes fumbling back, and Aubrey gets a face full of dirt.

"Phew! Ugh. Stupid genetics." Aubrey sighs.

Hero gets up and looks around and up at the sky, then back at the group. "There are four ways to go, which way should we start?"

Basil looks at the ground. "...maybe we should split up.? I meant there are four of us."

Hero shakes his head. "Even though a good idea, we should stay together in a unknown territory. We don't wanna run into any trouble that we can't deal with one on one."

Basil shrugs. "I guess."

Aubrey and Kel stand up and they look around. Kel points at the path south of the stump. "I see something there, a clearing. I don't see any clearings the other ways."

Aubrey turns to look in that direction.
"True."

"Okay." Hero claps his hands together. "Then it's settled. South it is." The group starts walking down the path.

After a bit, they stumble upon a playground, with different monsters playing. Some playing with the tetherball, some on the swing, and some on the slide.

They glance around and all stop at one point.
....

"...M-Mari....?"

I didn't have much motivation to write, but I was like, fuck it, I have some people to entertain. (I hope??)
Next is a mini chapter, maybe going to be Aubrey's, probably another Basil one, maybe I'll even do a Hero one.
Then after that is more of the main chapters! Sorry for the cliffhangers! I just love writing them I can't help it (>ᴗ•)
