Shipwreck

The come to the end of the colorful cavern. The two find themselves in a cave with a shipwreck. Elsa freezes in place. Loki looks at her, concerned. "Are you okay?" He asks.

"This is the ship my parents took when they died," Elsa softly replies.

Elsa starts slowly walking towards to ship but Loki holds her back. "What are you doing?"

"I need answers. Please." She looks up at Loki. He concedes and follows her into the broken ship.

Every piece of wood is splintered and rough. Water drips from the ceiling and into little puddles scattered about the floor. They search for something, some sign of what happened, but they find nothing. Then, Loki remembers something as he looks at the puddles.

"Water has memories..."

Elsa turns from a piece of wood she was looking under. "What?"

Loki summons green magic to his hands and places them on the floor. Water droplets start lifting from the ground and Elsa kneels beside Loki. The droplets freeze into a statue and the two start to hear voices.

"We must continue to Athohallan."

"But sir--

"I will not give up on my daughter!"

"We keep going..."

(Waves crashing violently)

"Iduna!"

"Agnar!

The statue solidifies into the image of Iduna and Agnar holding onto each other, waves crashing around them. Elsa wraps her arms around her friend and cries into his shoulder. He craddles her as she sobs.

"They were looking for answers about me...It's my fault that they are dead!"

A tear trickles down Loki's cheek.

The monster goes up to his cage. It stares for a second before grunting and leaving the dark prince in his cell.

"You might want to take the stairs to the left..."

He had lived for too long blaming himself for his mother's death. Elsa definitely shouldn't live like that

"It is not your fault, Elsa," he comforts.

They sit there for a while before Elsa wipes her tears away and hurries out of the ship. Loki takes one last look at the statue before following her.

"Where are you going?"

"To Athohallan."

"I am going with you."

She turns on the spot. "No, you are not. I can't risk hurting anyone else."

"Elsa, please. I know you are hurting right now, and you are trying to push me away, but we were brought together on this journey for a reason, and I intend to see it through."

They stare at each other, bright green eyes piercing cold blue ones. She huffed. "Fine."

They find the exit to the cavern and go through it to go and find the Athohallan, leaving the shipwreck behind them.

The cavern seals behind them and unbeknownst to our heroes, a man with golden armor goes back through the reopened caverns and through a golden palace.

"My king, I found them. They are looking for Athohallan. Shall we stop them?"

The old king turns to face the guard. "Not yet, we must be patient with these matters. Sail to Athohallan. Find out what they search for. Once this is completed, capture them and bring them to me."

"Yes, sire." The guard turns and leaves to prepare his men and the ships. The ancient king sits heavily on his golden throne.

"You will not be able to escape justice this time, Jotun runt. Your mother won't be here to stop me. Watch your back, while you still can."
