Back For My Junior Year
Chapter 9 Back For My Junior Year
Two days after my second night at Sinful Delights, I was replaying every second of my time there while I waited in a hard plastic chair in the Student Financial Aid Office. For the life of me, I kept trying to see how many times the two men stopped my climax. I was positive with eight, but everything got a little fuzzy after a little while.
There was a line of students I'd been waiting in line with all morning. Finally, I was next in line when I stepped up to the window an older woman in her mid-fifties was behind the counter. The oversized clothes on her small frame gave off the impression of an old bag lady. Old octagon shapes glasses dominated her face. Someone should really help this woman leave the seventies.
I stepped up to the window and gave her my best smile. "Hello. I'm Abbie Black. I need to check on my tuition payment, and get my dorm information, please." The mousey lady didn't speak just started typing away on her computer.
I bit my tongue to stop from asking what was going on after the lady hadn't said anything else to me after five minutes. Finally, she got up and went to the printer behind her desk. She came back and slid several papers under the window to me.
"Your tuition payment for the entire year was processed and accepted last week. You have the same dorm and roommate as last year. You know how to get your schedule and anything else you might need. Any questions?"
Dread instantly filled my stomach. There was no way in hell I could share a room with Mandy again. I hoped to avoid her and Trevor for the entire year. At least that answered my question about their punishment for lying to the Dean. Not a damn thing.
"Is there any way I could change dorms? Last year my roommate and I had a problem and the Dean had to get involved. I don't want anything to happen like that this year."
"Sorry, Ms. Black. You can forget your dorm and rent a room, or we can put you on the waiting list for a transfer, but you probably won't get one this semester. Either go on the list or find a room to rent, but if I were you, I'd keep the dorm. It's a New Year, things are probably better with your friend." The older woman gave me a sympathetic smile.
In my head, I was thinking she honestly didn't know what the hell she was talking about. I returned the smile and told her to add my name to the list. I refused to stay in that dorm.
On my way out the main doors to the Administrators offices, I racked my brain trying to think of what to do now. The club paid surprisingly well for just one night a month, but nowhere near enough to afford an apartment on my own in New York.
I was dumbstruck when I looked at my checking account that Monday after my first night. Five grand sat there more than anything that's ever been in there before. With my tuition paid for the year by Uncle Joe, I had no other expense but books and food.
Hopefully, I could find somewhere cheap to rent and still be able to save some of the money I made at the club. If not an apartment a hotel, maybe?
I was walking to my car head down with my purse strapped on my shoulder when my phone started ringing in my bag. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and pulled it from my purse. I didn't even check the name and just answered before they hung up. "Hello?"
"Hey, Abs. How's everything going at school?" Mel was more excited about me going back to school than I was.
"OMG, Mel! You're never going to believe what happened. I have to find a place to rent like yesterday. I don't even know where I'm gonna go tonight!"
"Hold up, what do you mean you have nowhere to live. What happened to your dorm?"
Red hot rage clouded my vision at the thought of Mandy Jane still at NYU. "I don't want to talk about it over the phone. I'm too mad and will probably start to scare people."
"Well, come over. You know you're always welcome. You can tell me everything then. See you in twenty minutes?"
"Sure. I'll stop and grab some wine."
Several hours and two bottles of cheap wine later, Mel and I were sitting on her couch searching through the rental section of the newspaper. I told her all about Mandy still being my roommate, and now being on a waiting list for a new dorm. We shared a toast to Uncle Joe and my paid tuition, then hit the papers.
I didn't realize how true I was when I said five grand couldn't get you much in New York. So far, the only things in my price range are a small room for rent no bigger than a janitor's closet for $3,500 a month! Or someone's couch for $1,500 a month! These people were absolutely insane!!
Finally, after looking at the last place's photo, I downed the last sip of wine from my glass, set it down, and flopped into the couch wishing it would open and swallow me whole.
Groaning, I covered my eyes with both of my hands.. "What am I going to do now? I can't afford any of those places and start paying my uncle back."
Mel closed her laptop with a sarcastic snort. "I thought that one guys couch to shape with his five cats and two dogs sounded pretty great myself."
I looked at her like a fish out of water. "Seriously?"
"Hell no, but you should have seen your face." Mel fell over laughing while I reached for the throw pillow at the end of the couch to smack her with.
"Not funny, Mel! Stop laughing and help me figure something out."
"Okay, fine. Just move in here! The spare room is empty and I won't charge you for the first few months until you can save money. I know it's a little bit commute to NYU, but it's better than nothing, right?"
"Mel, with both tissues tonight you aren't going to wake up tomorrow and change your mind, are you?"
"Not a chance, girlfriend! You're stuck with me now!" Mel tackled me to the floor laughing and squeezing me in the tightest bear hug.
Mel helped me move all my things from my storage to the apartment the next day. After everything was unpacked and put away, we ordered take out and watched a movie until we both passed out on the couch.
It was surprisingly easy getting used to living with Mel. While she was at work during the day, I prepared for my upcoming classes. At night, we would either stay home and relax, on both couches or go to the same place Mel knew.
We never went to the same bar or club twice. Never paid for a single drink. Mel became my coach. Teaching me all the ways to be sexy and flirt with men. How to get what I wanted from them without giving them anything in return.
I watched her on the nights we went out and she showed me how to be a confident sexy woman. No longer the naive girl who lets people take advantage of her. Instead, being the one to take advantage of them.
When my first day of class came around, I walked into the class with my shoulders back, tits pushed up trying to spill out my lower-cut top with my head held high. Not paying anyone any attention. I went to class then went home. Never staying to talk to the people who wanted to know what happened last year.
At the end of the second week, I heard the first rumor about me. After everything I'd done to poor Trevor, I came back to school a total bitch. Like I cared. They could either like the new Mel or fuck off somewhere. For the first time in my life, I loved the person I was turning out to be.
