“Wow! Summer sounds like a blast!” Phineas-2 said.

“That's just the tip of the iceberg!” Phineas said. “Like this summer for instance; we built a roller coaster, we became one-hit wonders, we traveled through time...”

Suddenly Perry heard a strangely familiar jingle from the TV.

~Doofenshmirtz Evil News Update!~

Perry walks over to it and sees Doofenshmirtz-2 on the TV.

“This is a message for other dimension Perry the Platypus. If you turn yourself in, I promise not to hurt your little friends.” Perry watched in distress as the boys’ image is shown on T.V. “If you don't, all bets are off.”

Perry glances a look at the boys one last time. Phineas was still talking to their counterpart. Perry gets a determined look on his face, and he turns to go, not noticing that Phineas sees him sneaking off.

“He’s going to give himself up?” Phineas said in disbelief. “How is that going to help!”

“He must be basing on what my dad would do. Evil or not, dad doesn’t back down from his given word.” Vanessa reasoned.

Perry hides behind a curtain and puts on his fedora, ready to go when Phineas’s voice stops him. “You are kidding me! You're actually sneaking away again? So nothing's changed.” Ferb walks up next to Phineas and crosses his arms.

“Did it ever occur to you that we could help you? That we could've made a great team? But I guess you can't have teamwork without trust.” Perry looks down, ashamed, then back up at Phineas, with his head down. You don't have to sneak away anymore. We know your secret. You can just go.”

“Oh no. This is too sad for me.” Milly said, looking away. Everyone was looking remorsefully at the scene between the boys and their beloved pet.

Perry's tail droops as Phineas points towards the door, and he walks off sadly.

Perry sadly walks off down the road as it begins to rain.

“Ferb, we’re making him a translator.” Phineas said determinedly. “No more misunderstandings.”

Ferb nodded, his face just as determined as Phineas’s.

“You know, I used to think you couldn't spell "platypus" without "us".” Phineas said as he walks back inside.

“Well, you can, but it would just be "Platyp".”

“Really Ferb?” Isabella deadpanned. Ferb just shrugged.

“Well, I guess if you guys can't help us fix the remote, we could check with Isabella.” Phineas said, back inside with their counterparts.

“Who's Isabella?” Phineas-2 asked.

“Wait what!” Isabella exclaimed.

“Wow, another twist!”  Gretchen said.

“The girl who lives across the street.”

“Mom says that talking to neighbors can be dangerous.”

“It's true!” 2nd Dimension Linda called out from the basement.

“Why?” Katie asked.

"They're living in a dystopian world. It's only logical that they're cautious of who they should trust." Buford said, and everyone looked at him in surprise, especially Baljeet. "What? It's a pretty interesting trope in literature."

"You never stop surprising me, Buford." Baljeet said, shaking his head with a smile.

“Well, it's time you meet her. Come on, you'll like her.”

“What about the Normbots?”

“Relax. We've been avoiding them all day.” Phineas said as they sneaked out. “If you're really careful, you can...” they suddenly stop in front of a Normbot. “Okay, we got to be more careful than that.”

Candace snorted. “I think your careful travel to the house has more to do with our fedora wearing teal pet than your avoiding skills.”

“Yeah, that might be true.”  Phineas agreed sheepishly.

“May I please see your identification?” Normbot with the Norm Head asked politely.

“Uh...”

Not getting a satisfying reply, the Normbot switches to Armored Head. “Display your travel papers or be destroyed. Display-display...”

Suddenly it sparks and shudders, then collapses to reveal the 2nd Dimension Buford on its back, pulling out wires. “I can't stand these things!”

“Hah! My counterpart was shown before yours, nerd!”

“Hey, it's Buford!” Phineas said happily.

“Who are you guys?”

“We're Candace's brothers, we're going to Isabella's.”

“Are you part of the Resistance?” Phineas-2 asked.

“I used to be in the Resistance,” Buford-2 said. “but I got so good at it, that I started resisting them.”

“That’s such a Buford thing to do.” Gretchen said.

“Well, he is Buford.” Ferb said.

Cut to Doofenshmirtz and Doofenshmirtz-2 with the Other-Dimensionator.

“Behold, the Other-Dimensionator!” Doofenshmirtz beheld. “Actually, this is the Other Other-Dimensionator, the Other-Dimensionator is back in the other dimension.” Doofenshmirtz-2 glared as Doofenshmirtz rambles on. “Okay, step 1 is push this button. Step 2, stand back in awe!” the inator starts up, but then shuts down quickly. “Awww....”

“Ha! They can’t come to our dimension because Dr. Doof doesn’t know how to make the machine!” Buford exclaimed happily.

“Wait, doesn’t that mean… Oh, no.”

“That's it?” Doofenshmirtz-2 asked in a condensing tone.

“Now that I think about it, uh, those two boys made some modifications to my design which may have allowed it to, you know, to work.” Doofenshmirtz said and laughed sheepishly.

“Great. Now I need those two boys?”

"Do you think your dad will hurt Phineas and Ferb?" Stacy asked Vanessa.

"My dad? Definitely not. But it's not him we should be worried about." Vanessa said, looking at her father's counterpart.

Just then, a Normbot comes in, holding Perry by his scruff. It throws him to the floor and puts a wastebasket on top of him. A brick is placed on top of it to keep him trapped.

“Ah, Perry the Platypus!” Both Doofenshmirtz's said together.

“Jinx! You owe me two sodas!”

“He’s going to get in serious trouble if he keeps that up.”  Holly said with a grimace.

“Listen, Perry the Platypus, I know I told if you turned yourself in, I wouldn't hurt your friends, but change of plans!” Doofenshmirtz-2 said while Doofenshmirtz looks away from Perry, feeling guilty. "Now I need to hunt them down, which may involve a little hurting. I know that makes me a liar, but hello! Evil!” Perry glares hearing this.

“That part wasn't exactly evil. He genuinely didn't know he needed Phineas and Ferb before Perry came in.” Baljeet said.

“Uh, but his plans are evil.” Buford said.

“Not to mention he going to force a bunch of kids to make his inator.” Milly added.

“Right, right.”

Meanwhile, Buford-2 opens the gate to Isabella's house for the boys, and they walk in.

“C'mon. Isabella's house is right through-” Just then, a trap door opens under them. They scream as they fall down, and a group of shadowed figures ties them up in a pile. A light shine on them, and the shadowed figures are revealed to be the Firestorm Girl.

“What'cha doin'?” 2nd Dimension Isabella asked in a tough voice.

“Woah, is that me? I look good.”

“Isabella?” Phineas asked, looking surprised.

Isabella-2 stared at him for a moment. “Do I know you?” She asked, not having a recollection of meeting Phineas.

“Hey, Isabella!” Buford-2 called out from under the pile.

“Ugh, him I know. Buford, what do you want? I thought you were resisting us?”

“I was helping Candace's brothers cross the street.”

“Candace has two sets of twin brothers?” she asked, looking at the identical boys.

“Ah, no. He and I are from a different dimension. We’re trying to get back.”

“Alright girls, release 'em.” She ordered hearing this.

“She sure trusted you easily.” Linda said.

“As if there’s ever a chance of Isabella not believing Phineas.” Gretchen teasingly said.

The Firestorm Girls pull on the ropes, untying them. They emerge in a pose and then collapse. A door opens, revealing a computer area.

“Why would you want to come to this dimension anyway?” Isabella-2 asks as a door opens, revealing a computer area.

“Well, we didn't mean to come here. Now we can't go back unless we fix this device.” Phineas said as he showed the remote.

“Well, we may have someone who can help you. Dr. Baljeet!” the chair in front of the computer turns, revealing 2nd Dimension Baljeet.

Everyone except Baljeet burst out laughing at his counterpart’s hair.

“I like the hair.” Baljeet pouted.

“I don’t! You look like that insane math guy.” Buford guffawed.

“Baljeet!” Phineas exclaimed.

“That's Dr. Baljeet to you. Were you not listening?” Baljeet-2 asked before turning to the computer. “Here is the crux of your problem. Think of the universe and all of the many dimensions as circular. The energy flows between the dimensions like this, clockwise. Say that this is your dimension, and this is our dimension. You traveled with the flow of energy, so going clockwise would be easy. Going counter-clockwise would take 8 million gigawatts of energy, overloading the local power grid. I have prepared a little song to help illustrate my point.” He said as he started playing the accordion.

A small pause came after the song. “I know, it needs a chorus.”

“It needs a lot more than that.”

“Anyway, without 8 million gigawatts, you would have to go clockwise, the long way around. Theoretically, you would get home, but there is no telling how many dimensions you would have to go through.”

“Well, do you think you can get enough power to open the window backwards so we can get home?” Phineas asked.

“Well, we should probably ask our leader...” Baljeet-2 said hesitantly.

“Ask your leader what?” A deep voice asked. A silhouette of a tall, muscular man is shown. Someone coughs behind the man and reveals Candace-2, showing that the silhouette was a bush. “Who made the topiary out of wild parsnips? I'm allergic, and it's messing up my voice!”

“Candace is the leader?!”

“Why do you sound so surprised, Stacy?”

“I’m not surprised that you are a leader." Stacy quickly reassured Candace. "I’m surprised because your other self didn’t seem to care much about what happened around her when she first came on screen.”

“Candace, you're the leader of the Resistance?” Phineas-2 asked.

“What are you two-” she coughs, and her voice goes back to normal. “-doing here? Never mind, I'll deal with you later.” She walks up to Phineas and Ferb. “You two! I've been spending all these years trying to keep my brothers safe, and suddenly their faces are all over the Doofen Channel!”

“We're just trying to get home.” Phineas said.

“Well, what's stopping you?”

“Right now? Quantum Physics.”

“Baljeet?”

“We need to generate 8 million gigawatts for inter-dimensional travel.” Baljeet-2 informed.

“Then we've got work to do. Isabella, start redirecting the power.” Candace-2 commanded.

“Aye, aye!”

“Gretchen, monitor the Doofen Channel. Make sure we're not raising any alarms.”

“I'm on it.”

“Buford, keep resisting.”

“No!”

“Excellent.”

“Wow, Candace. You really know how to take up leadership.” Vanessa complimented. “Atleast, this version does.”

“You should see her during our bust camp.” Stacy said.

“Maybe we will.” Jeremy said, looking at the DVDs from the future. It was going to take them a long time to complete all of this.

“And will somebody get rid of that topiary?” She asked with her deep voice. 2nd Dimension Katie and Ginger lower down and pull it away. Candace-2 coughs, and her normal voice comes back. “Thank you.”

“This is cool and all, but I want to learn more about the 2nd-dimension Fireside Girls.” Isabella said, and the Fireside Girls agreed.

“You two, where's your version of Perry?” she asked suddenly.

“He's off, but he can take care of himself.” Phineas said, showing distaste.

Phineas squirmed when he heard his onscreen self. Ferb and Isabella moved closer to him to comfort him.

“What are you talking about?”

“Well, he's a secret agent.” He said, getting angry again. “We spent 5 whole years with him today, we only learned today that we were just a cover to him, he doesn't care about us, he only cares about his job.”

Candace-2 looks honestly shocked. She hasn't seen any anger in her boys at any point in her life, much less Phineas.

“Guess she hasn’t seen her Phineas angry before.”  Katie said.

"They must be sheltered from a very young age." Lawrence said, holding onto Linda's hand as reassurance. "When you live a life like that, you won't have many chances to express yourself in any way."

Back at 1st Dimension Flynn-Fletcher backyard, Candace and Stacy are there.

“Oh, great and powerful Mysterious Force. I know you are just trying to protect my brothers, but I am simply just trying to protect them too from their dangerous inventions.” Candace said while Stacy looked skeptical. “Show yourself so that I may reason with you!” Nothing happens for a while. “Maybe we should build a shrine to it.”

“Candace, that's ridicul-“ suddenly the dimensional portal opens up, interrupting Stacy.

“Ah! It's the mysterious force!” They both yelled and ran, hiding behind a tree.

“I can’t believe you actually believed that, sis.” Ginger said as the group started laughing again.

“You try explaining a portal suddenly appearing!”

“Phineas and Ferb?”

“You know one day they won’t be the answer to some weird thing we see.”

At the 2nd dimension, the remote is hooked up to a device.

“Ferb! I think we got it! It looks like home!” Phineas yells, and Ferb gives a thumbs up from near a generator of sorts.

Cut to the 1st dimension.

“What do we do now?” Stacy asked.

“I don't know. I can't believe it actually worked.”

Everyone laughs again except Candace.

“Oh, come on! Give me some credit.” She yelled.

Cut to the 2nd dimension.

“Well, thanks everyone.” Phineas said. “Hey, where's Per... Oh, that's right.” He suddenly felt sorrowful at his realization that his pet won’t be with him.

“Doofenshmirtz Evil News Update!” The jingle was suddenly heard from the TV. They looked to see a Normbot reporting the news.

“This just in, our supreme leader has just announced the capture of public enemy number one, Perry the alternate-dimension platypus!” The TV shows Perry's mugshot, an X goes through it. “I guess we won't be seeing him anymore, except as a platyborg.” The channel switches to a test pattern. “It's 3:30, we now conclude our broadcast day.”

“Now go to bed!” Doofenshmirtz-2’s voice-over said.

“You’re going to rescue him, aren’t you?” Linda asked with a sigh.

“Of course! He’s family!”

“We've got to save him!” Phineas said.

“Oh no, too risky.” Candace-2 said. “You two have to get back to your dimension.

“We're not going anywhere without our platypus!”

“I thought you told us he was just using you as a cover?” Buford-2 said.

“I know what I said. I was hurt. But even if it was all an act, he's still a part of the family, and we're not leaving him behind.”

“I may never be able to open this again.” Baljeet-2 informed.

“It doesn't matter. We're going back for him.”

“Well then, you're on your own.” Candace-2 stated.

“I still can’t believe how strict she is.” Stacy said.

“Fine. Just tell us where Doofenshmirtz keeps his prisoners.”

“We have to help them!” Phineas-2 said suddenly.

“Oh, no, we don't.”

“Yes, we do. Remember how we felt when OUR Perry disappeared?”

Candace-2 looks stoically at her brother’s sad faces before she facepalms. “Oh criminy, I must be crazy. Alright, we can get there through the tunnels.”

“Yes!”

“Ferb-”

“Don't even think about it, you dwerps. It won't work on me.”

“Let's suit up, people!”

Cut back to the 1st dimension.

“You know what, Stacy? I'm tired of the mysterious force pushing me around. I'm gonna show it who's boss!” Candace said as she heads off towards the portal.

“Candace! Wait!”

“Great. All my kids love getting into danger.” Linda deadpanned.

“I wouldn’t say we love it. We... enjoy it.” Phineas said.

“Oh boy.”

At the 2nd dimension...

“I will try to keep it open for as long as possible, but the window is very unstable. Even the slightest disturbance could cause it to collapse.” Baljeet-2 said just as Candace screams and leaps through the portal, causing it to close. “Like that, for instance.”

“Hey, Candace.” Phineas greeted.

“You guys are so... wait, why are there four of you?” She asked, confused.

“Oh, these guys are from this dimen-”

“Are we inside the mysterious force?”

“I'm not sure I understand the question.”

“And why is Isabella suddenly fashionable?”

“What do you mean, "suddenly"?” Isabella-2 asked, offended.

“Yeah, what do you mean “suddenly”?” Isabella asked, glaring at Candace.

“Seriously, where are we?”

“Candace, I'm sure you have a million questions,” Phineas said, pulling Candace with him. “but right now, we have to save Perry from being turned into a cyborg.”

“What?”

“We'll explain on the way.”

“So, how do I dress in your dimension?” Isabella-2 asked, following them.

“I like you style, Isabella.” Phineas said when he saw how upset she looked, not realizing how his words sounded.

“Finally making a move, little brother!” Candace teased, causing Phineas and Isabella to blush.

Candace suddenly notices Candace-2. “Hey, is that me? I look good!”

Phineas-2 and Ferb-2 run after them, but Candace-2 stops them. “Oh no, you two stay here.”

“But we want to help.” Phineas-2 said.

“That's an order!” Candace-2 ignores what he said runs off after the others.

“This is so strange to watch.” Gretchen said. “Usually, it’s Phineas and Ferb who’s always at the front of any adventure.”

“I know right! Our counterparts seem to always be left out there.” Phineas complained.
