she was one of those girls who breathed fire when confronted but loved so gently that it made you forget she could
IT WAS THE day after Landon found out about them, and he hasn't spoken a word to neither of them. Though, Hope has seen him talking to Alyssa Chang who is a bitchy witch with a heart of gold. And surprisingly, she has even seen Rafael and Jed getting along. The last time she saw them, they were fighting about who's the better alpha, now, it looks like they're more than friends.
Hope made her way to the twins room because she wanted to borrow a cute dress that Lizzie was telling her about the other day. After all, she wants to look cute on her and Ryan's first date. She didn't know what they were going to do seeing as Ryan planned it all, but she was just as excited as she would if she knew.
Opening the door to the twins room, she froze and then smiled brightly at the sight in front of her. Lizzie and Malia was making out, and one of them was shirtless. "Well, damn," she said, gaining their immediate attention.
"Hope!" Lizzie shouted in surprise, grabbing a pillow and covering her chest with it, a dark red blush going up her neck and to her cheeks. "What — what are you doing here?"
Malia was blushing too as she rolled off Lizzie, running her hands through her frizzy hair.
Hope grinned as she looked between them before shouting, "yes!" She did a little dance before smiling at the new couple. "I was hoping this would happen. MG owes me ten bucks."
Malia frowned. "You betted on us?"
"Well, I had bet MG ten bucks that you guys would end up together before the week was over, and I was right." Hope grinned and pulled out her phone, sending a quick text to MG.
Lizzie chuckled lightly before pulling her hair on quickly which Malia had grabbed from the floor. "What are you doing here though, Mikaelson?"
Hope sheepishly said, "Ryan and I are going on a date in two hours and I have nothing to wear. Can I borrow that dress you were telling me about?"
The blonde quickly jumped off the bed and ran to her closet where she pulled out a beautiful box. She sat it on the bed beside Malia and smiled as she opened it up. It was a red dress that went mid-thigh, tight in the breast area with spaghetti straps, and flowed out slightly from the waist down, and it had pockets.
"You're going to let me do your makeup, right?" Lizzie asked and then quickly grabbed her phone, texting someone. "I can get Josie in here to do your hair. She loves to do my hair, so she'll have a blast with yours."
Hope smiled and chuckled as the blonde pushed her to her vanity, sitting her down on a very comfortable chair.
"Don't worry. You'll love it and Clarke will fall in love with you even more!" Lizzie declared with a huge smile.
AN HOUR AND a half later, Hope was fully ready for her first real date. Half of her hair was up on a braid like crown, and the rest was falling down her back in soft waves. Her makeup was natural, and she had bright red lipstick on which Lizzie declared would be all over Clarke by the end of the date.
Hope walked out of the school, squinting her eyes due to the brightness, but instantly smiled at Ryan as she saw him standing with a huge basket in his arms.
When he turned around to face her, he froze and his mouth fell agape, and his pupils very obviously dilated. "You look... ravishing." He smiled at her as she giggled and walked towards him, her black high heels clicking against the concrete. She reached his side and he sniffed, and tilted his head. "Is that cotton candy I smell?"
Hope chuckled and sheepishly smiled. "Lizzie decided to spray me with some of her perfume which smells like cotton candy. Do you like it?"
Ryan smiled and sat the large basket down at his side and walked towards her, and was about to pull her into a kiss, but she held up a hand. "What? What's wrong?"
Hope shook her head. "I know Lizzie is watching and she'll be furious if you mess up the makeup she worked on before the date even begins."
Ryan chuckled and looked behind the auburn haired girl to see Lizzie, Josie, and Malia peaking out of the school's doors. "Well, we better get going before they come out here and usher us away."
Hope chuckled and took his hand which he held out to her. He then picked up the basket and began leading her somewhere.
When they made it to the spot Ryan had set up for them, Hope could see a large blanket laid out with a radio for music, and a small box laying to the side of it. She simply rose a single brow as he sat down the basket he was holding, and the turned to her with soft eyes.
"Do you like it?"
She smiled up at him, because even though she was in high heels, he was still so much taller than her. "I love it. I have never actually been on a picnic before."
"I decided to do something simple for the first date because I know how you like the simplicity of things," he told her, rubbing his neck sheepishly. "The next date, we will do something more fun."
She shook her head. "I love just spending some time with you. We don't have to do something fun to keep me interested."
He smiled down at her and pulled her in by her waist. "I'm glad." He leaned down, not caring about ruining her lipstick. He hummed and pulled her even closer to him to where there was not even an inch between them. He kissed her like he was dehydrated and she was the last cup of water in the world. When he pulled back, he had her lipstick smeared across his own lips, and he grinned.
"You're adorable," she told him before bending down and grabbing a napkin. She stood up to her full height and pursed her lips as she wiped the lipstick off.
"I don't know why you're doing that when we both know I'll be kissing you again," he told her with a grin. "I can't seem to keep my hands off of you."
She smirked up at him as she got the last of the lipstick off. "Well, you're going to have to or you won't get your present tonight."
"Present?" He rose a brow and groaned as she simply shrugged innocently and sat down on the blanket. "You're such a little tease."
She smirked up at him before eyeing the beautiful box that was only a few feet from her. "What's that?"
He smiled and sat down, grabbed the box, and then turned to her with a nervous expression. "It's something to tell others to back off because you're mine." She simply grinned and he held the box out to her.
She took it with gentle fingers and opened it slowly. She gasped slightly at the sight of a beautiful ring that laid in it. It was in the shape of a little heart with their initials on it. She looked up at him with watery eyes and bit her lip, trying to not cry on their first date.
"Do you like it?" He asked hesitantly as he watched her reaction.
She nodded her head quickly and sniffled. "I love it."
He grinned hugely and took the box from her, and took the ring out. He grabbed her left hand and slipped it on her middle finger. "It's a promise ring. It's to tell you that I promise to never leave you nor break your heart. It's also to ward off those who's like Landon."
She chuckled and then launched herself at him, pulling him into an embrace. "No one has ever done anything like this for me. Thank you."
"You're welcome," he told her softly, soothing her.
Pulling away from him, she gently wiped at her eyes, trying to not wipe off any of the makeup. She then chuckled and pointed at the basket that she knew was full of food. "Shall we dive in?"
He laughed and nodded, watching her with soft eyes as she pulled out the food from the basket. He knew right then and there that he loves her and he would never let anything happen to her.
