I woke up with a groan and rolled over. I needed to stop getting knocked out. It's painful! I sit up and "WOOHOO! IM BACK!" I yell while doing a little dance. And immediately fell back down "Ok don't sit up too fast." I layed there for a couple of moments to let the world stop spinning and then got up and walked out the door and to the back door of the house and then went inside "I'm back!" i yell while trying to find my parents "Hi Cactus i thought you weren't coming back until tomorrow?" my mom said "Not that i don't want you here." she quickly followed her last statement "what do you mean, I've been gone for nearly two months!" i exclaimed "No you just left like an hour ago. Are you ok?" she asked while feeling my forehead for a fever "yeah im fine its just...." I trailed off, not sure how to finish that sentence. I mean what was i gonna tell her that i got sucked into a book and then two months later came back except they don't remember me being gone for that time. ": wait what's today's date?" I asked, when I got sucked in It was September 5th "its September 5th why do you ask?" she replied "I didn't answer. I just kind of stared off into space for a couple of minutes thinking of what this meant. It could be that none of what i thought happened actually happened and it was all a dream. But I remember feeling everything there. I mean I felt pain when I smacked my head on the rafters in their barn. (I had stayed in the hay loft.) and I had felt hungry. I had felt thirsty. That was way too detailed for a dream. Right? "Cactus!" my mom yelled in my ear. I jumped a little as I ree zoned into reality "yes ma'am?" I replied "are you sure you're ok do we need to take you to the doctor?" she asked "you zoned out for four or five minutes." "yeah I'm fine just thinking, I'll see you later i gotta go talk to Dave I'll be back in a day or two." now Dave's back story is he is my other cousin coupers brother Dave is basically a super genius like spy equipment, guns, missiles, military stuff, if you can think of it he can probably build it he graduated college at like 9 his code name is SCORPION I've helped him out of some bad situations and he owes me some favors. And there you go that's his back story. Now back yto the exiting stuff.

TIME SKIP! THE NEXT DAY!

Now Dave lives up in the mountains in my bunker. (yes i have a bunker) i pull up the the bunker which just looks like a old cottage that's built right up against a cliff face about seven hundred feet to the right of the bunker is a waterfall with a little picnic table under a little lean to it's a nice place to have lunch in the summer. I walk up to the cottage and walk in and the inside is a cottage but the built in bookshelf on the back wall has a latch. I walk up to the book shelf and grab the 1984 farmers almanac on the top shelf and pull it off then reach into the hole where it was and pull the little lever in the back that opens the door in the back of the fireplace. Yes the back of the fireplace, the last place someone would look in a raiding situation. I walk through the door closing it behind me and walk through the hallway to Dave's room which is huge by the way. (look at the picture at the beginning of the chapter) and open the door and walk in "You here?" I yell "That you Cactus?" he yells from the fridge "yeah, I got a favor to ask." "Alright give me a minute." he yells back. I sit down on the couch and look around and the place is a mess! He really needs to clean up. There's Chinese take out boxes everywhere some pizza boxes, plates, and glasses stacked up everywhere. He comes up and sits down across from me. "So how've you been?" he asks "good how are you?"

"I'm good, not much going on right now I've just mostly been playing around with some ideas for a full auto 12 gauge shotgun."

"Cool once you're done me and you will have to go test it some time. Although you could keep this place cleaner than it is right now because according to you there's 'not much going on right now'." i say

"sorry ." he says

"It's fine just clean up more once I leave."

"Ok so what do you need this time."

"Well I'd like you to take some readings of this." I say while rolling up my shirt sleeve to show him the arm band.

"Oooooohhhh!" he says while sitting up "That's cool! I thought you said you weren't going to get any permanent things like that or tattoos?"

"I did and I'm not." I say. He looks at me with a puzzled expression

"What do you mean?" he asked

"I mean i fell down in the woods and this thing was on me when i woke up." i replied

"Mhm."

"I'm serious. I want you to take some readings from this and see if I'm going crazy or if this actually does what I think it does."

"And what would that be?" he asked me

I then proceeded to tell him the events that had led up to here.

"Ok I'll take some readings but i don't think what you're saying this thing is doing is possible."

"Thank you." I say ignoring his comment about my telling the truth or not

"Ok come ever here." he told me.

We walked over to a door and then down a small hallway to his lab. He then led me over to a chair by some tables after me moved some equipment over to it and hooked it up to the computer that was sitting on the table beside me.

"Ok so lets do a general scan and see what's goin on." Dave said while looking at the computer and hitting a button every now and then. He hit one last button and the thing beside me that looked kind of like those dental X ray machines. Started buzzing and lifting up to my arm then right before it was going to scan there was an energy surge that killed the scanner and the computer.
