Rage
She was impressive, but only in the way a candle was impressive in a dark room. Wanda's power flew from her fingertips, but even as she reaped disorder in the common room, she was clumsy and her timing was off. I knew that it was these fatal mistakes that could cause her downfall.
For now, though, Wanda was the queen of chaos.
Windows shattered and furniture went flying as Wanda desperately fought the Ultron clones that I was creating. She thought she avenging her brother's death, but in reality, she was hurting her friends. Once again, I felt slightly guilty that I was making her worst nightmare a reality, but in time, I knew she would grow to thank me.
It was true that I was not fully present, and unfortunately, that meant that my power had its limits. Already, I was beginning to feel tired--maintaining the illusion of robots as well as Pietro's dead body required much concentration--and if my calculations were correct, I would only be able to hold the illusion for several minutes longer.
Until then, I would enjoy the show.
"What is she doing?" Clint yelled as he pressed his back against the couch he had just moments before been reclining.
"I don't know," Steve replied as he dodged a hailstorm of glass, "Vision, what did you do?"
"I do not understand," he stuttered as he held his arm. Unfortunately for him, when Wanda had first lashed out, he had been her first victim. "She was looking at me, but she wasn't."
"She's seeing her brother," Thor realized.
"Well, if we don't do something, she's going to tear this place apart!" Natasha exclaimed.
"We can't hurt her," Steve shouted.
"I don't want to hurt her either, but we don't have much choice, Cap," Tony retorted and clenched his fist. As he did, metal rippled across his hand until suddenly, his arm was plated with armor.
As I stared at it, I couldn't help the shiver that ran through me. Even with only one iron fist, Tony could change the tide of the battle quickly. Would Steve join him or stand in his way? Perhaps their battle would come sooner than I thought.
"Wait," Thor pleaded and laid a hand on Tony's shoulder, stilling him, "Let me try to talk to her."
Oh, foolish brother, I snickered, You can't calm her tempest. Even as these thoughts ran through me, my body trembled, signaling the soon collapse of my illusion.
"Just do it," Sam barked from where he knelt beside the Vision. "This guy needs medical help."
"Thank you, son of Will," Thor murmured and stood to his feet.
This will not end so easily, brother, I growled, and, with my last burst of energy, unleashed a great illusion over my brother. To Wanda's eyes, her closest comrade had transformed into her greatest foe: Ultron.
At once, all other sideways attacks seemed pointless as Wanda focused her full rage on my brother. Strings of red shot towards him, and in their ranks flew legions of glass and shards of metal. Quickly putting up his hands before his face, Thor's gauntlets deflected her attack.
"Wanda," he said.
Ignoring him, or otherwise unable to hear him, Wanda sent a second wave, this time one of metal and wood, twisting towards him. Just like before, Thor attempted to block the attack, but this time around, some projectiles were too large for him to deflect. Hit in the chest by a bulk of metal, Thor was tossed against the back wall.
As he pulled himself to his feet, Wanda ripped electrical wiring down from the ceiling and absorbed their power into her palms. Red sparks flew from her fingers, and from the look in her eyes, this time, she was ready to kill. Red electricity tore from her hands in a great wave of heat and spiraled towards Thor's position, but just moments before the two collided, I released my hold on Wanda's mind. At once the illusion vanished, but I did not regret my decision.
This had gone too far. I had only meant to convince the Avengers of Wanda's need to come to Asgard. If Wanda was to kill Thor, not only would she never come to Asgard, she would be labeled a monster and be locked away. Or worse.
Perhaps, it was true that I could've chosen a better moment to dispel my fantasy, but I was curious as to how Thor would evade this attack. I mean, after all, it was a younger brother's job to cause trouble for his elder, was it not?
Just as the red lightning entered my brother's range, he quickly raised his hammer. Drawn to the metal, the Lightning was swallowed whole, and raising his hand, Thor released the energy into the sky, ripping a hole in the ceiling in the process.
Looks like I missed, I mused before gradually pulling my body back to Asgard. Before I left, however, I would see that my goal be reached.

In complete shock, Wanda gazed around at the destruction she had caused and the life she had almost taken. Most of all though, she gazed at a point just behind her, where her brother had lain.
"Wanda," Thor murmured, drawing her attention, "I think it may be time you met my father." Nodding, Wanda did nothing as Thor wrapped her in an embrace.
Stepping out from where he'd been taking cover, Tony surveyed the damage done to the ceiling. As he dissembled the armor coating his fist, he swore quietly underneath his breath. "Goodness, Thor," he said finally, "couldn't you have aimed for a window?"
Chuckling despite myself, I opened my eyes, once again on my throne, bearing the appearance of my father.
"It is done," I whispered to the empty throne room. "Soon, I will be invincible."
Hey!
I hope you liked this chapter! It was rather exciting, I kept hinting at Civil War, and I loved writing it. Honestly, I have no idea if Loki could do what he did, but I'm sure he could figure it out. Anyways, stay tuned for the next update! Don't forget to vote and comment! I always appreciate feedback.
Until next time,
Julie :D
