Chapter 3
"So your parents aren't mad at you at all for the offence you have caused in school?" Albrix confirmed.
"Hmm yap." I nodded, sipping on my strawberry milkshake.
After I got back from school not long later the doorbell rang and revealed the two of them.
My parents excused themselves and gave the living room to us. Our discussion stops there and my mum advises me to think about the letter in the envelope.
"Oh wait. It's not even an offence at all. That Goldman dude just shouted 'traitor' with no idea what's the real meaning behind it." I scoffed.
"Ya it's not to you. But to others it is. You literally burnt his uniform out of nowhere. They will think it's witchcraft of a sort" Albrix argues back, rolling his eyes.
"Do you think you will be expelled?" Miller asked worriedly.
"Probably." I replied.
"So what did your parents say?" She asked again.
"You won't believe me if I were to tell you what they told me." I raised my eyebrow.
"So what did they tell you exactly?" Albrix question.
I dart my eyes back and forth with the two of them.
Suddenly feeling nervous to tell them about my real identity. Or my other identity.
"Uhm... is going to sound really... complicated." I start.
"Please don't freak the ass out, when I told you two about it." I shift nervously on my seat and pointed at them.
"I might not, but she might." Albrix pointed at Miller.
"Why?" Miller asks.
"If you didn't know, or have no idea. Cassidy has the craziest hobby of watching bloody-murder shows while eating dinner." Albrix revealed.
"Hey! Albrix." I warned him.
"Oh really. Then tell her I watch autopsy shows while eating popcorn." She smirked.
This time Albrix and I turned to her in surprise.
"That's something unexpected." I voiced in surprise.
"I can't believe you two are my best friends. That's gross. How do you both even enjoy your food with all those 'yaks' contents in those shows. oh fuck.?" Albrix remarks with sarcasm. Giving us a disgusted look.
After another short bickering. We settled down and I retrieved the envelope from my parents to let them know what I'm actually going to tell them.
"Ok... eh so... we are going to have this talk now... and just... ah be prepared." I remind them.
"So first my parents actually received this envelope some time before they even got a chance to tell me anything else about me." I hand them the envelope.
"Anything else about you?" Miller echoed back my words questionly.
"Yap me. There is more of me that I didn't know... until today." I deadpanned.
"So what's this?" Albrix asks, taking an envelope.
"Is the envelope my parents received it." I told them.
He took it and looked back again. Wondering if he should rip it open as if I have not touched it yet.
"My parents have read the letter, so is open already." I shrugged.
He opens up the lid and begins reading the letter in silence. I can see his face making up different range of expressions while reading the letter.
"Mythical creatures?" He frowned after finishing reading the letter.
"What?" Miller took the envelope from him, as her words went unanswered.
"So what are you?" She asks after reading the letter.
"Uh...uhm.... vampire." I stuttered.
"Vampire!?" They nearly exclaimed in unison.
"Are you sure?" Albrix frowned.
"Then how did you even burn that sucker uniform?" Miller asks in confusion.
"I have no idea. That's the part I have not asked my parents about it yet." I told them.
"If you said you bite his arm and suck his blood, then ok I might believe you. But that... It doesn't add up." Miller pieced it.
"That's the point." I agreed with her.
"So... this school is built specially for mythical creatures like you too... study there?" Albrix asks, unconfirmed.
"Sort of, and to help us to hone our powers and discover new abilities about ourselves and...etc." I explained to them briefly.
"So are you considering going there?" Miller follow up.
"Actually my parents have not reached that part yet. They have told me I am a vampire, but have not told me how my powers are related to my creature." I answered.
"Anyways. What did the heads say to you?" Albrix question.
I explained to them what happened when I was sent to the office along with Goldman. Surprisingly, Goldman didn't pull any tricks up this time, but instead. He told the heads what exactly happened at the cafeteria, leaving the heads in surprise and confusion. Thus after telling him to get another uniform and ensuring him that they will inform his parents about it, They called me in and I showed them the burnt cloth without hesitation when they questioned me about it.
Leaving them in utter shockness.
After a moment of discussion, I heard one of them calling my parents to come and fetch me up from school, and inform them that they will explain in further details when they arrive at school.
"I don't know exactly what they told my parents. Because I was told to stand outside when they came in." I ended.
"Did your parents tell you what the heads told them after that?" Albrix asks.
"Not yet. I think later."
"So... what are you going to do with this ah...whole...ah vampire identity now and this ah... letter?" Miller asked while handing me back the letter.
"I guess, I would tell my parents that I want to finish the conversation with them earlier and I will consider the offer in the letter." I nodded towards the envelope.
"But first I have to see what the heads told my parents earlier in school just now, when they come to pick me up." I told them.
They ham in agreement after getting what I am actually planning to do with this whole situation.
We talked for a little more about everything else, and about an hour later. We ended the conversation.
I bid them goodbyes and they leave the house after saying goodbyes to my parents in their room.
